Bitcoin is a digital currency and Gold is a strong assets. Bitcoin is able to provide more profit than gold but investing in Bitcoin also carries more risk. Bitcoin prices can go up as well as down in a short period of time. But gold is a strong asset.  And its price increases gradually but its price does not decrease much.  And gold is trusted by everyone in the world.  I would say if you are interested in investing in something physical then gold is perfect for you. But if you interested in investing in something digitally then you can choice bitcoin

BTC is faster, charts have the data. You can also see how volatile it is in just a day of its market.
If I am to choose then I'd go with BTC and I think most members here will have the same choice. You are in Bitcointalk. 
Gold though may be something that you could invest with for your future kids. It's not moving much which tells it will still be valuable in the long run.
Keep it then make it as inheritance for your kids as we don't know where BTC would go. Maybe it will less valuable later or maybe more.
Your kids may hate you if it goes $1 when they are old enough to receive it.

Gold and BTC both are two types of things. We know that bitcoin is the most volatile currency where Gold price always stable or increase slowly. Both of them are good assets, and it isn't a bad idea to invest in two of them, since the two assets aren't intrinsically similar, you will be diversifying appropriately should you choose to invest in both gold and Bitcoin. Having said that, gold is more of a store of value than Bitcoin, it can hold its value for a pretty long time without significantly depreciating. Bitcoin is more volatile because it can have spontaneous plunges and pumps in the short term, but in terms of ROI, Bitcoin is better, especially in the long run, Bitcoin will accrue more returns for its investors than gold will.

I think the opposite of this, it is better to buy bitcoin first. maybe gold can be bought later. BTC and gold investment is the right choice as a very good asset diversification in my opinion. If you look at market developments so far, Crypto, especially BTC, is very fast to rise and recover from falling prices compared to gold, whose increase is not drastic but is very stable, not volatile like BTC.

GOld is not as good as bitcoin. GOld was stable investment. Someone has been mentioning the right statement about gold. that stable asset can't be used as investment. that's only store of value to make your money became stable caused by gold was following the inflation.
It's better to keep gold to follow the ration of inflation. People understand it in wrong way if they were using the gold as investment while the price is steadily growing up caused by the inflation.

I prefer investing in Bitcoin, indeed both assets have good value, but Bitcoin to get results faster than Bitcoin, I've done that, a matter of hours I can get 300 $, Bitcoin profits, of course Gold can't be like that, it takes a long time for Gold to get quick results.

Bitcoin and gold are a good investment though they're different. Investing in Bitcoin is risky because of the price volatility but the return is huge depending on how much you invest and how long you'll hold.

While gold has a physical feature and stable thus it might take time before you can gain from your investment. Investment on gold is safe and risk free and bitcoin investment is high risky. But if you not take any risk you will not be rich. If you want to be rich.  Then you must accept the risk. I am always like to take risk. And i bought 1 BTC by taking  loan from bank with high interest.
