It requires a good technical analysis for you to be able to make profits. You have to know like 80% when to buy and sell your cryptocurrency that you are using in spot trading. To answer your question, I believe yes, it is a good practice since spot trading is less risky than futures. I usually trade big coins in spot and not altcoins because of it's reputation and high volatility.

From my experience, If you really wanna get involved with Bitcoin trading i.e buying the low and selling the high as you've said and in that process want to earn some money from that, therefore as a Newbie starting to trade, spot trading is just the best for you when it comes to that kind of trading style, as it will help protect you from getting liquited if you were to use leverage due to the volatility nature of the Bitcoin market. However, to do this ensure you've gotten a good trading strategy for good entry and exit point, hence you will still loose money as a result of buying the low and waiting to sell high and reverse will be case because you might be tempted to sell in a lose as result of seeing the price fall as you're not HODling Bitcoin.

Its never been easy, it might be easy to hear up on your ears but when you are on the actual situation then this is where things turns out to be bitter where you do really face up the reality of trading.

Its never been simple on  doing that buying low selling high thing.Main question is, whats the peak price? Whats the bottom price? Of course these are the main things that you would really be having on
mind on which you would realize later on thats not how it works.

AT least, the spot market has lees risks than in the future. If you expect this, this can really happen moreover if you buy the coins at a low price and then hold the coins. Though you may not know when the price will be higher, in the spot market, you will still have the coins without any losses if you don't sell. But, if the price keeps increasing, you can set a target to sell the coin at a higher price, at least, you have got any profits for this.
I tried trading in the spot market so far, and this is more effective and less risks for me than in the future or tarding with the levergae. But, be careful with the coins or tokens that we choose, because of we go wrong, we can find out shit coins that end up as dead coins

Buy low sell high, this is what everyone wants, not only for newbies but also experienced traders. It's easy to say, but it's not as easy to put into practice as we think. But starting with spot trading is a good thing and should be encouraged, start with spot trading and combine with knowledge, so we learn and practice will bring good results for us. Spot trading will also have losses but the risk is not as high as futures trading, if wrong we can try again from the beginning without losing too big.
