I was also wondering something similar to this and I also think that social media is growing into an arena of business rather than it's initial intent of socialization and I think it is really helping the people cut alot of expenses which includes shop rents and shop utility bills and these online vendors are making more of profits as their products are been exposed to more people.

There are also more of advantages of social media outside of it being a social tool for communication as can be used for marketing of goods and services without a third party involvement and having to pay any commission to anyone and there are lazy people like myself who barely have the time and strength to go for a market survey so what I do basically is sort for my goods online and compare prices before heading to the market and this act gives me an insight to the price I should be expecting when I get to the market.

It was really just intended for social interaction with other people globally but it isnt really that shocking that the owner itself would really be making out those kind of marketplace considering  about on the traffic

Most of my classmates before were also mostly into social media, trying to be vloggers or also posting videos as they could earn money from it. It is a really great opportunity, as anyone can do it, and if your content is good and you get lucky enough to get noticed, you will be earning money. Though I was tempted to do this before, it was really time-consuming, and I don't have that luxury, as well as being camera shy. Let's just take this as an advantage so that we can promote other things as well as help others.

Where are you from? Are all of your friends social media influencers with millions of followers? Because you can't earn so much without hundreds of thousands followers.
By the way, if no one does the job and everyone starts scrolling of social media platforms, then no one will earn a single cent. And competition is so high in this area that almost every niche is occupied and super saturated and it's becoming very hard for new people to improve and earn from social medias.
Also, I think that the idea of this topic was that at first socializing was problem for society and the aim of social media was to solve that problem. Today, the problem is solved but the priority has changed, instead of improving social media platforms and making communication better, they turned these platforms into spywares. They collect cookies, read and analyze messages, track us and what not.

YouTube is a free video sharing website on whereas it would be different if we do speak literally on social media which people could post up and interact accordingly on whatever things that they do post or tell.
Speaking about earning opportunities then cant really deny that people had been monetizing things on what they are sharing whether it would be solely sticking into likes and views in matter or would be totally be into those businesses that they are really that involving which they could really be promoting it out on social media.Is this really an issue?
