This can be a method, it would be better to make their browser popular, you should stay away from it because this browser may ask for your details and use your login credentials because Bitcoin mining will require electricity and require special hardware and it will not use any hardware nor that much power.

Be very wary of relying on JavaScript for security on crypto sites. The site can change the JavaScript at any time unless you take unusual precautions, and browsers are not generally known for their airtight security.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

You will be tracked and you might have to pass KYC to claim your rewards.

I don't believe in mining by browsers because backdoors can be set. If I want to mine something, I want to config it on my computer with trusted software.

Some browsers like Brave can give you reward but KYC is required. Do you trust them at start that team behind browser won't require KYC in future?

Thank you. No i just found the website i don´t know anything about it.

This is just a cover-up for what really the owner of that crypto miners wants. I assume that it has some referral program where you get more earnings when you successfully invite more people to install it in their computers or their browsers. It's clear that they only want to have more users to show some advertisement and just put some title about mining bitcoin because it's more trending nowadays but in reality, there is no mining going on and the only small payments they will give you is revenue from those advertisements.

Yes of course, i didn't post the link because i didn't know if i could, i mean dunno about the forum terms Smiley. This is the link : https://cryptobrowser.site/
First of all, this browser has been in existence for about 2years if I could remember correctly but I am not familiar with the genuine site. Therefore, Google the browser name and provides 2 different sites which means one is a phishing site.
The bottom line is that this browser didn't worth it because they will make use of your internet network to mine while they pay you a penny for it or infect your computer.

Thank you, i didn't know, well i thought i discovered a cool thing and its a waste of time. Again thank you very much.
I can understand you because I was once on the same road when I was a newbie but understand that cryptocurrency is not a quick-to-rich scheme and what will determine your success in the crypto setting is the level of your knowledge because if you have good knowledge you would have a question yourself why would the owner great something like crypto browser and not getting something in return.
I will advise you to scour through the forum because everything you could ever need is right here.

Every time I think we've reached the point where users can learn about mining from the information that's abundantly available on the Internet, I'm surprised every time people ask about apps that they think perform the same job. Anyway, it's a good idea to ask before use.

I'm new to the world of bitcoin and i found a website that has 21,100 visitors per month. even with all the information as you say, it is natural that for those who still don't understand the subject start to think twice. And about everytime you think "we've reached the point where users can learn about mining from the information that's abundantly available" as you know we just have to google to understand about what happens between Russia and Ukraine, and yet thousands are supporting this war, we just have to google to understand men and women are equal and yet many men still think women are less smart, we just have to google to understand, black, white, yellow, red etc doesn't matter there is only one race that is human anything else is B****  and still the world is full of racists, we jut have to google to understand muslim religion, Catholic, etc etc, and yet people still kill in the name of religions, and so on ... as you can see almost any subject we can think we´ve reached the point where ... but as you can see people don´t have the same understanding about the subjects, ppl are not even in the same level of knowledge in all subjects, and that's the reason i´m here to learn with people that know more than me.
Well, i get your point.
I don't mean any kind of offense bro and I am well aware of the differences in perception among humans.
What I meant is that there are still people who want to delude people that mining can be done using one of the available applications without the need for special hardware. This necessarily means that there will be casualties, since this field is considered relatively new and it is better, of course, to ask about this before using the service with real money.
By the way, I hope you will share the name of the site you found. Also, I advise you not to be deceived by the number of visitors to any site, because those visits can be purchased.

A lot of these sites will make claims like this and you might even mine something that might look like Bitcoin ....but it will just be some internal database that are assigning numbers to a GUI.  Roll Eyes  They do this for several reasons :

1. They use your GPU to mine some Alt coin for them... and they give you a few Satoshi that are collected in your wallet... but they require a large withdrawal amount... that will take you years to reach.  Roll Eyes

2. They attract people to their website... they then collect advertisement income and they distribute some of that to the suckers that are visiting their site for hours.  Roll Eyes

Most of these are scam sites..... and you do not mine a single Satoshi!

Hi guys, I'm new to the world of bitcoin and i found an interesting website that is a browser with mining features and I would like to know if it's safe and if it actually works.

As some members asked here´s the website link that i'm talking about : https://cryptobrowser.site/pt/ , the website has 21,100 visitors per month, that's why i thought maybe is not a scam.
How can you really trust the website through the number of visitors alone? Can't the number of visitors also be manipulated by the website owner and can also be made by the website owner so that more people will believe in the website? Because I personally have never seen and found such a website in the past and only just heard about it to you this time. So I still can't trust the website now.

I've known this cryptobrowser for a long time, but I'm reluctant to try it. If you want to do more mining, you have to use the referral link to invite friends or other people to register on the referral link so that there are levels that will distinguish each income at each level. The more people you invite, the more income you will get. this is not mining in general using a special mining engine, it's more of a referral link game and the like. without referrals and people who join it will take longer to earn bitcoins.

Think about it for a while. Mining bitcoin while browsing? For free? Sounds great, right?
Then you do some research and find out that mining any popular coin with your PC is impossible because even if you were to dedicate 100% of its power to mining you'd still not have enough to generate income. Now, let's say this works and your browser takes 50% of your available resources and really mines something. Your browsing is going to be a painful experience - slow loading, PC overheating, high power consumption, possible freezes... How much are you going to generate even if it does work?
I'd say that mining it with a browser is impossible if we're talking about strong coins, but whether your statements about PCs is true depends heavily on the PC in question. If it's a very strong gaming PC with a high-end GPU like NVIDIA 3080, I think you can mine Ethereum and some other coins there, and the profits are likely to be small but they might occur if your electricity is cheap.
But as for browsing, I agree it's a bad idea. Aside from a big chance of being scammed, browsers tend to suck out a lot of juice from a PC as is, and with mining it can become a very unpleasant experience.
I'm happy that op seems to think it's a waste of time.

I wouldn't trust such services, however, I've seen a few that are legit, but are paying a few pennies in some kind of altcoin. Certainly not worth using your PC's capabilities to earn a few cents at most. The only thing you'll achieve is to burden your computer for no absolute reason. Regarding the website you mentioned though, I highly doubt that it's legit, it looks like a Ponzi pyramid scheme and has poor reputation on Trustpilot.

you should avoid mining like that, as far as I know there is no web or browser that can be used to mine bitcoin, usually sites like that will ask you to make a deposit to increase the level or increase the hashrate power for mining in your account, it is a scam and it's best to be safe your money, usually sites like that won't last long and will disappear taking the users' money away

Just to add, if you want to earn some crypto precisely like Basic Attention Token, use Brave Browser. Some ads appear that you're free to click or not and will make you a small amount. Actually, I haven't claimed those free BAT and sometimes I click those ads, and sometimes I don't, and I just like using the browser but maybe that will help you have an idea about them.
