One analysis I've read, it says maybe we'll get something like a pump for the short term. He said that for short term he's bullish but these effects would still have to go into balancing eventually.

But with such news and everything that seems to be positive for ETH, I'm bullish on it and whether it'll be back to its former ATH. Then, that's good to hear and see but I'm optimistic with the upcoming merge and its effect to the entire eth network.

Most of the times when coins release something big or do a merge, you always see big pump in the days before the event also. After a while, the effect fades away and the price drops to a lower level, but still higher than before. I doubt that we will see a new ATH for ETH with the merge as the price needs to more than double for that.

Personally, in my opinion,  I don't think that ETH will resume and go with a new ATH just because of the merger. But you can see that a lot of them are hyping it buy I'm not buying everything those so called experts.

Just remember that we are still in the bear market, it just reaches it's all time low. So I would be calling a sudden flip just because of this news. But if we are talking about a short term upside then why not, but it's not going to be sustainable in this kind of situation.

You know speculation has risk of incorrect speculation.

The Merge is a very big event for Ethereum community but do you think their developers will launch it when the general market is still very bearish. They are not stupid to do that so the launch would happen in bear market, with best conditions for Ethereum speculative show.

Do you think it is best time for them to do it?

In my opinion, it is not that time hence I don't believe Ethereum will get its new all time high any time soon from now.

ATH was $4.8k. It's too far so hold your horses about your expectations.
Yes, Ethereum may have made the trend recently but it doesn't mean it could go way up without the help of a Bitcoin pump.
Remember, that ATH didn't come from that merge news because it was just reported recently and not when they are being dragged by the Bitcoin pump at $60k each.
There will be investors, old and new but I doubt it could be pulled as far up as what happened before.

Nothing is impossible in the cryptocurrency market) And if we previously saw how the price of ETH decreased by 3 times, then why can't it increase by the same value? Ethereum after the upgrade will significantly increase throughput and scalability, which will allow you to abandon most of the L2 solutions, which will undoubtedly attract more users to this blockchain. The main thing is that this update should not be postponed to a later date.

From my previous known experience, i have seen that when there is a pump in Bitcoins, all the altcoins follow BTC.
So we can only expect all time high for ETH when BTC starts rising. But currently seeing the bull market, it’s obvious that it will take more time to see a pump in the coins.
In the mean time we can buy these coins and add in our portfolio. In a month or two BTC will surely rise and with the rise of BTC, ETH and other coins will also rise and all the investors will get huge profit.

I think you better off waiting for BTC trend changing direction then you could easily see new ATH for both BTC and ETH.

If we see ATH for Ethereum, I think we might see Bitcoin first to do the rally.
At this time, I won't just expect it - not that I was hopeless but the situation doesn't permit it yet. Even though we heard about the merge announcement, I couldn't imagine how this could influence the market price, but possibly it was just a few pumps that might happen. For now, I wasn't thinking that big as in my mind, what we gonna see today could be the same after the merge.

Looking at the current state of things, it looks like in the near future, ethereum will not reach its new ATH. I might speculate more that the price might come back close to its ATH rather than reach a new ATH. however, no one knows, in the crypto world, anything can happen.
Other than that, I still believe that ethereum could reach its new ATH in the future. however, in order to see that, it looks like we need to wait until the current situation is completely recovered. I feel that this might be a good time to have some ethereum before it reaches its new ATH or before the pump happens.

My general take on Ethereum has always been that it probably is just as important for the whole cryptomarket and its evolution and development as Bitcoin itself. Of course Bitcoin basically created the whole crypto space because before Bitcoin there simply were not cryptocurrencies existent. Ethereum has brought a whole new dimension of opportunities and possibilities to the crypto market though with the introduction of the smart contracts. Without them we would not have Dexes, no tokens, no Defi and no NFT's.
I doubt though that we will see a new ATH for Ethereum anytime soon, because the whole market is just still to shaky for that to happen in my opinion.

Ethereum has been breaking through $1700 for a while and that provides a bit of optimism for many traders who were expecting more surprises to come from this digital coin. We've already seen how Ethereum could reach a good value especially when the price of Bitcoin goes up. It has shown great potential over the years so I believe that it could strike high and reach a new milestone of good price when the bull run approaches. It's still good to buy it now since it's worth holding for the long term. The price of Ethereum might be like a roller coaster movement these days but when the market recovers, I'm sure that next to Bitcoin, it will show a good move as well.

ETH is a good coin, its the top altcoin and for sure it will hit a new ATH in the right time, I'm sure in the next bull market, ETH will join the trend and make its new ATH again. Many are quiet disappointed with the updates of ETH, but that is already in the past and I'm looking forward now with a future updates of ETH. I'm still holding my ETH, worth it or not as long as I'm confident with my investment decision, then I will patiently wait for the result.

I also did the same thing 2 days ago, although I still lost when I sold my $ROSE coin, but I think that the current market has not shown consistency in the market transition period.

Even though I sold my $ROSE at a loss, but it wasn't too bad, because $ROSE experienced a significant increase from its lowest price a few days ago after the further announcement regarding the collaboration between Oasis Labs and Meta (Facebook). In conclusion, now is not the right time to own any altcoins, including $ETH.

I am not sure if we are "gonna see" ATH for ETH soon as the market is not fully recovered because it seems it is too difficult to recover in a short time. But you can still speculate to see ATH for ETH soon but you should have another plan if your speculation is not going to happen. I still think that ETH needs more time to rise or we can say recover step by step before or after the merge for ETH. If the investor is confident that the merge for ETH can bring a good thing for them, they will give their big support to ETH and that can help the price to start rising. Otherwise, we still need to wait and be more patient to see the price rise.

If you meant about monthly or weekly high and that might be possible but for ATH. that's still too far to be real. Merged has no impact to the price of ethereum. Yeah it goes at least 20% increase after the announcement but you must not forget that if ethereum was still following and what you can expect if bitcoin was still trading at the low price? if bitcoin will not reach ATH and ethereum will be doing the same thing like that.
It's too early to take about new ATH. don't you know how crypto market works? it's always following bitcoin. There's no doubt if ethereum will reach ATH once bitcoin will be doing it first

Must of people think ETH is a strong altcoin and it have bright future. ETH can reach 10k usd in future. People trust Ethereum only after Bitcoin. And like bitcoin, Ethereum is considered a strong asset. I am holding 2 ETH and I think these will make me a great asset in the future. ETH can make new ATH 10k usd in the next big pump
