the german DFB Cup thread is missing this year. but I think it should exist again this year. 
yesterday dortmund won easily with 3:0 at 1860 münschen. dynamo dresden lost against vfb stuttgart with 0:1.
today there are still some interesting games. i think there will be one or two surprises.

Its seems that we are witnessing the first upset of the day after a hour of playing greuther furth are behind in their away game against stutt kickers despite their winning odds being so low, their performance seem really poor i don't think they will score if they continue like this.

and Bayer Leverkusen disgraces itself in Elversberg and loses with 3: 4 .
that is already a huge sensation what Elversberg has achieved.

agree, you can lose from clubs that are playing in lower division by mistake, and 0:1, but conceiving four goals from third league team is a real shame
they are playing CL this season

but, on a good note, they have one competition less to play, and that could help to focus on CL and Bundesliga, to make good results

agree, you can lose from clubs that are playing in lower division by mistake, and 0:1, but conceiving four goals from third league team is a real shame

A club like Bayer Leverkusen should want to win most of the titles even their domestic cup that isnt an easy competition honestly. They always play really attractive football in bundesliga but never can win the title or be in top 3 teams and in champions league they are really bad.

Is it German DFB Cup or DFL Cup that this thread is all about?
Because I am viewing DFL super Cup of Bayern vs Leipzig and the match is going well. Leipzig is currently two goals down to Bayern Munich. Bayern Munich finest new signing Sadio Mane's name is on the score sheet. As the match is going, Bayern will likely get more goals because the likes of Muller haven't scored yet.

So, the glory is going to Bayern Munich as that of the England Cup went to Liverpool today and I was a beautiful game.

I was surprised that Elversberg could win Bayer Leverkusen, when Elversberg scored 4th goal already at 72nd minutes and Leverkusen only had 2 goals, people would have been predicting that the match could go wrong against Leverkusen. This season has not yet started, we do not know the full capability of each club, just a match against an underdog this way may go wrong, but not common though, we can see other clubs in Bundesliga winning but with odds that are not that encouraging.

it's going to be another exciting evening of football. yesterday Hertha BSC Berlin disgraced themselves and lost 6:5 in Brauschweig.
i am curious about the fans. they will make a hell of a spectacle in magdeburg.

It's strange that Bayer Leverkusen lost and conceded 4 goals, on the other hand, to see monchengladbach win and score 9 goals in a game this is something unbelievable, I don't know how these guys from oberachern are feeling after conceding 9 goals, stay as if they weren't in the field.


almost every team in last season's bundesliga is winning without much difficulty, and if you ask me who I think will be the winner of the tournament I will answer without hesitation: bayern easily wins the tournament if they play seriously. if they don't value the tournament then they will lose and it will be more complicated to know that they can win the tournament

I didn't excpect union berlin and werder bremen to have difficulties against some teams from the regional league i lost my bet because of union berlin they didn't manage to win in the regular time despite scoring first and having an overwhelming performance and goal chances.

so far there has been no sensation in the german stadiums

and of the 5 remaining 2nd league clubs, 3 will play against a club from the bundesliga and the only 2nd league duel will be between nürnberg and düsseldorf.
due to the world cup, the games will not take place until next year (01st february)

It actually fits exactly in the year of Bayern Munich, this home defeat against Freiburg. Bayern has been very volatile from the first match day and this defeat fits completely in Bayern's year. If they don't become champions then they've had a disaster year. But how much value does the German Cup still have for Bayern? It's not a prize they really want, but I think they feel obligated to win all the national prizes. The battle for the cup is now completely open due to the loss of Bayern.

Unbelievable with Bayern Munich and Dortmund have eliminated early on DFB Cup season 2022/2023 exactly for Bayern Munich with new manager Thomas tuchel, despite is not priority by several teams but I don't think Tuchel won't missing his opportunities with DFB Cup tittle. Right now left four team in DFB Cup semifinal from Eintracht Frankfurt, SC Freiburg, RB Leipzig and VfB Stuttgart.

Seems excited with VfB Stuttgart are bottom standing team in Bundesliga but success lead until semifinal stage and waiting will make another surprise will lead to final? Based on four teams have qualify to semifinal, seems RB Leipzig is more favorite team winning DFB Cup season 2022/2023 than Eintracht Frankfurt or SC Freiburg.
