On the reputation board, there is a special thread moderated by BitcoinGirl.Club to let people know about your achievements while at bitcointalk, that should include your wish to thank the manager. It might be good if a lot of users organized to post there what they have accomplished, including you.
Announce your rank up, merit or any achievements that makes you feel great!However, if you want to open a service and want to tell people about your services, it's a good idea to create a thread on the service board and let them know what you can provide.
