I would ask him this:

What was that thing your mind was thinking when you struck with the idea of decentralized blockchain?

I'm interested in this because I wonder how one can get the idea of blockchain out of nothing. There must be an incidence or event of life that motivated you to build something smart like this. Smart people always get motivation from real-life events. We will probably never know but I’m sure a legend is going to be created for it, it is similar to the legend that Issac Newton understood gravity when an apple fell on his head, many say that anecdote is false and some others say it is true but it is irrelevant, the legend will keep on forever.
"Governments are good at cutting off the heads of a centrally controlled networks like Napster, but pure P2P networks like Gnutella and Tor seem to be holding their own." -- Satoshi

No one could explain here or could answer that question cause Satoshi is literally a ghost and mysterious guy.  Just wanna hear his answer on his own words.

I would ask him - "IF you were still around and involved in the running, what would you want to improve on?" and "What part of the entire industry would you say was not in your plan, regulations maybe?"

Choosing just one question to ask would be very difficult, with so much mystery surrounding the person, but those would be my first before asking about his motivations, inspirations and believe that people would actually care about bitcoin.

If I had a chance to talk with satoshi, I would ask him would you do it again? Considering your disappearance, the constant questions who you are, where you are, and why you created the network you did, was it worth it? I would also ask him/her if he/she thinks the Bitcoin community is worthy of this creation. I would like to know whether the way we use Bitcoin today coincides with their way of thinking. Some feedback would be great although that's never going to happen.

Personally, I don't think satoshi is happy with how much dependence there is on centralized services and that's not what they had in mind.

Yes there was a previous work done by a number of people and projects before
Satoshi, these were known as the Cypherpunks. I created a thread about it a few years ago.

The Cypherpunks and the road to Bitcoin

What would I ask Satoshi?

Do you still have access to all your wallets? not that I care but its still intreguing

Are you happy with how Bitcoin has developed?

did you forsee the route it has taken?

I would ask him this

I am not a journalist, so I don't have neither uncomfortable, nor historical or technical questions for him.

I would ask him if he is all right. He is missing for long, so his health and safety is a matter of concern.
And I would simply tell him "thank you for creating Bitcoin".

I really don't need to ask him any questions because Satoshi answered all the important questions in the short time he was active on the forum and through private communication with those who worked on the project with him.

Apart from the fact that many people began to attack him for making too many decisions independently, and to the point that his closest associate practically stabbed him in the back when he sold himself to the authorities for a few thousand $, did Satoshi have any other choice but to disappear completely? What Satoshi created is much more important than anything else...

Of course, it is interesting to find out who is hiding behind the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto. And I'm really interested to know if he has retained access to his wallets, which store more than a thousand BTC coins. If there is no access to these coins, then they can be considered lost forever, and Max Supply can be reduced by this amount of BTC.

Jawhead999 thank you very much for this information (the link) you provided. I have gotten very useful information in the Crypto currency space. I really enjoyed reading the article on the link. And also your explanation for the OP question is nice for me but you have not really nail on the question based on the OP. He or she is a newbie, so your explanation would been straight forward after given the instances or before the instances (example). As a educationist, there is a way we answer questions that the person who asked the question would understand. I do not think the OP understand you but he has gotten new information from you but if you evaluate him or her to know if he or she understood you. I doubt.
What was that thing your mind was thinking when you struck with the idea of decentralized blockchain?

This question is directly to Satoshi Nakamoto. And in the forum, those who have known blockchain and are the representatives of Satoshi, so they are answer...
I believed he created the blockchain because of the National Government Authorities control over citizens fund without their conscience. So blockchain is decentralized digital currency in which no governmental Authority will have access or control your funds.

Lolz such a funny but nice question , My question to him would be why he decided not to review his real identity and chooses to be annoymous since after long time of creating Bitcoin both in the forum and other places.
I will equally ask him what price he thinks Bitcoin is gonna reach?,  if he is going to sell his Bitcoin one day and at what price is he looking at selling.
Lastly , I will ask him what other plans he has for the smooth running of Bitcoin having been observing the overall performance of Bitcoin since creation.

Controversial: I'm going to ask Satoshi about his opinions on NFTs and other non-currency/SoV cryptocurrencies. I'm mostly a bitcoin guy myself, but I'm not a fan of the automatically-a-scam-if-not-bitcoin takes of some vocal bitcoin maximalists.

I would probably ask something like: "Is it really true that Craig Wright is you?" Smiley
Of course, we all know that this is not true.

In my opinion,  Satoshi has told bitcoin community enough of what needs to be known. The rest doesn't matter. Despite the fact that the Satoshi Nakamoto figure is legendary, it has already remained in the past for bitcoin, therefore, it is strange for me to hear such questions:
"IF you were still around and involved in the running, what would you want to improve on?"

Nakamoto left his project in the hands of the community, and now it is the bitcoin community (and not one figure) who must decide and create the future of bitcoin. This is the essence of decentralization.

10/10 would ask the same actually. I am happy that I am not the only one thinking about that question. I would also would like to ask on "how does he feel about plenty of conspiracy theories regarding his identity and now that surely many of it would be debunked for sure?", lol.
Also the question of his thoughts about the IEOs, ICOs, STOs, etc.

Satoshi should be given more appreciation in his own craft, and letting him know how lucky we are to have known bitcoin, leaves a good feeling on his part.

I will ask him what he plans to do with 1 million bitcoin in custody after 13 years. Since no one knows his nationalities, will want to know the involvement of USA in cryptocurrency from the beginning.
2. The idea of anonimity was whose Idea?
3 what is the purpose of hiding the identity?

I would ask him this

I am not a journalist, so I don't have neither uncomfortable, nor historical or technical questions for him.

I would ask him if he is all right. He is missing for long, so his health and safety is a matter of concern.
And I would simply tell him "thank you for creating Bitcoin".
For a person that put us to where we are right now, I think it’s more great to say thank you in the first place. Bitcoin has been very good to us, and all those positive things should be credited to its only founder, Satoshi. And as we are living in good right now, hopefully he’s also living the best life he deserved to have. No more questions, just give him my heartfelt appreciation.

I'll tell him my gratitude for his/her creation. Of course, I'll give him thanks first for what he did and that's necessary since that encounter would really be rare and as how I appreciate what he made, I guess he'll also appreciate everyone's gratitude.
And for my question, what does he thinks of the world that his project became a global thing and even countries are accepting it and adopting it as a legal tender?

I would ask him this:

What was that thing your mind was thinking when you struck with the idea of decentralized blockchain?

I'm interested in this because I wonder how one can get the idea of blockchain out of nothing. There must be an incidence or event of life that motivated you to build something smart like this. Smart people always get motivation from real-life events. We will probably never know but I’m sure a legend is going to be created for it, it is similar to the legend that Issac Newton understood gravity when an apple fell on his head, many say that anecdote is false and some others say it is true but it is irrelevant, the legend will keep on forever.
I would love to ask him why he made an early exit, and if he’s still coming back in the future. But before that, I want to congratulate him and be thankful for inventing today’s best asset. We would not have been profitable this time without bitcoin, and just pure shitcoins. And of course, I want to tell Satoshi how much he is loved by all of us and wish him good health and good luck always.
