It would have been much more difficult for Mourinhos Roma to win familiar for of Juventus but now that it's Sevilla I know that Roma will conquer them the dominance of Sevilla in Europa league is over.... And I'm happy too see Italian teams make it to 2 European finals it's a step in the right direction they're investing and keeping their quality players while barca and Madrid is busy trying to recruit young talents.... This season's Serie A teams have made it to the finals in all European competitions, but not 2 because it actually is 3. Inter in the Champions League, AS Roma in the Europa League and Fiorentina in the Europa Conference League. So, this season is a great season for the Serie A teams but unfortunately, I personally am not completely sure that all the Serie A teams who will play in the final can win the title.

Also, even though you seem so confident that AS Roma might be able to end Sevilla's domination in the Europa League, but for me AS Roma is also not fully promising to be able to beat Sevilla in the final later. Because Sevilla's journey to qualify for the final was not easy, Sevilla has had a long struggle this season in La Liga and also in the European League. So, with the great effort Sevilla has put in this season, it certainly makes me consider Sevilla worthy of the Europa League title this season.

I don't think Sevilla can complete with strong team, most of the teams that are in Europa League are average teams in performance.  Sometimes the strong teams we have in Europa League don't even take the game serious. I just know Sevilla is trying when it comes to Europa league with the effort they put.

Playing with a total defensive strategy is a good way to maintain an advantage, but I don't like that style of play in the finals. I know Mourinho was successful with his tactics when he forced Leverkusen to a goalless draw in the second leg of the semi-final. But to be honest, for me it was the most risky strategy, especially when Roma only had 1 goal as their advantage.

In the final I not expect Mourinho to play the same game plan as the second leg of the semi final but I expect an entertaining final where both teams are expected to open up and beat each other. The final should be different, but I think it will be difficult for Mourinho to beat Sevilla who have collected 6 Europa League titles so far.

So the two of them will do very well in the final and that will make for a very interesting spectacle to watch.

I'm not sure, before confirming the line-up that will be used by Jose Mourinho, I will not assume too far. if, Mourinho uses the same system as against Leverkusen in the second leg. that means, this match will certainly not offer an exciting and tense match. but if, Mourinho implements a system with a 3-4-1-2 pattern or with a 3-4-2-1. you can be sure, the match will offer a very interesting and exciting match. because, you can be sure that Sevilla will use an offensive pattern. if these two teams, play the same pattern. then the Europa League final will present a very interesting battle. even if Mourinho is confident in his players, I believe they can beat Sevilla. but if the game style is with the bus parking formation, don't be surprised if this match will be very boring.

There is no doubt about Jose Mourinho's ability to formulate a strategy, and this season he has managed to bring AS Roma to the final. there is nothing wrong with the bus parking strategy because after all mourinho's main target is to reach the final.  but keep in mind that sevilla is not an easy team to beat, especially in the european league, see how they beat juventus in the last semifinal, even though the head to head between roma vs juventus was quite interesting, from the last 3 matches they played, sevilla has not been able to win while Rome has won 2 times.  i don't want to speculate further but i think both teams have an equal chance of winning.

but if you look at it only from the overall prediction, it is Seville that can win the European league. indeed Roma will be very strong in the final later but that strength is only due to the pressure from the final round which pressures the Roma players to appear strong in the final match later.

The Roma team may not have many start players but the have a very tactical coach. Mourinho is one coach that makes do with what he has to achieve what he wants. How Mourinho qualified his team (AS Roma) for the finals should be a call for concern. In the other hand Sevilla has shown so much strength in the Europa league. I personally saw them as underdogs following their early performance in the LaLiga but the kept proving me wrong in the Europa league and their recent performance in their domestic league has improved spontaneously. Sevilla has the star boys as Roma has the experienced coach who should we rely more on to deliver our bets.

Tactical coach without a single goal in the second leg, does that rate him as good coach enough with zero short on target, that means they didn't make any attempt to score any goal througout the match, with the way Sevilla play their own second leg against Juventus, if Roma comes that way with Sevilla, they will be finished with simple goals to nothing. Mourinho has experience and has way to change the game but this one is too poor in my opinion, they need to work more than what they play in the Semi-final. But regardless of what kind of strategy Roma would want to bring into the final, if am to vote who will emrge the year winner of this league, Sevilla will have my vote of confidence.

I checked the history of these two teams and how they were performing against each other, during the four games they played against each other they had three friendly matches and they played one other game in Europa League 2019/2020 season in which Sevilla won the game with 2-0 result. Also, Roma could only beat Sevilla for once in these fours game and I think Sevilla will win another game against Roma.

I think that doesn't really matter considering that we are talking about a long time difference. These are not those teams anymore and there is no need to compare them to their past matchups. I think Sevilla is clearly the worse team between the two, but they were so against Juventus as well as United too, and yet they managed to beat those two teams somehow.

Doesn't mean automatically that they are better than Roma as well, maybe they are or maybe they are not, I really wouldn't know but at the very least we are aware of the fact that Sevilla played better than expected against teams that were considered better than them and right now they are considered worse than Roma too which means there is still a chance Sevilla could end up with a win again.

For myself, I really do think they're capable of winning that Europa League Competition by all means, they have a coach who's done it before at Manchester United, with that experience, he can do this still. I won't be surprised to see both As Roma and Manchester City facing themselves once again when they meet during the next super cup. Disagree about Roma and the fact that they screwed up in Serie A. What position would you like them to take? First? Second? On what basis? There are the big four and all the others. Lazio was able to force out Milan (and by the way, Roma still has a chance to overtake Milan), but in general, you see the usual picture. I would say that Roma performed at a decent level and took its rightful place. If we take into account reaching the final of the Europa League, then this is already a successful season in any case. Given that this is the second European Cup final in a row, this is a super-successful season. You are right that the standings right now are ok and it is not like Roma *** up and is at the bottom of the table, but they played a very good first half of the season and I thought that they are probably going to set some goals higher than 7th rank, which gives them nothing. They had 37 points after 19 games and were 1 point behind 2nd rank. It looked great for them.

When you want to make progress with the club you do need some results and also qualification for the international tournament. It is helping financially, but also when you want to convince a coach like Mourinho to stay or new players to come to your club. This makes it much harder and that is why I said the season would have a bad ending after they started so well.

In general, I fully agree with you. Before the season started nobody was expecting from Roma to finish the season in the Champions League qualifier rankings, let alone 1st rank.

You right about can't guarantee on the final with full defensive strategy will running well, Sevilla has Iva Rakitic can create attempt from shoot out site penalty box and full defensive seems difficult how to anticipation if Sevilla try to create attempt with not only open play but also with free kick. Roma had a few phases this season when I thought that they are playing good soccer, but they are back to their destructive attitude again. Taking time off the watch, discussing with the referee after every single time he blows the whistle, and so on and so forth. There is so much complaining going on and soccer is almost secondary at times. That's what I often hated about Mourinho even though I do like him as a character as he does indeed add something to the soccer world that is unique.

Jose Mourinho is known as a perfectionist when it comes to parking of the bus and so many occasions has that style of his managerial approach worked for him just like it successfully worked for on Thursday and I don't think he's gonna stop that style of football anytime soon.

because that's the tactic that Mourinho usually uses to hold back the dominance of the opponent and course makes the opposing team frustrated when they always lose the ball when designing an attack. there is nothing wrong with Mourinho's tactics, but maybe we will still see that from the first half. maybe they will plan to counterattack or want to force the opponent to arrive at the penalty shootout. just a guess, but Roma probably won't make much of a difference.
