I think this is a good comparison because guess how the final went. Roma scored a relatively early goal in the 32nd minute and then they slowed down. Feyenoord had 67% ball possession, almost 90% passing accuracy and more attempts, but they couldn't convert it into goals. That is what I think Sevilla has to prevent from happening. Roma should not score an early goal or it is going to be difficult and Mourinho will tell his players to make use of all the tricks the soccer world can imagine.

Yeah i agree Roma serie A performance and europa league performance are two different things, it will be a tough game for sure i think its 50 50 if i had to bet i would put my money on mourinho team because a final is different than the knock out stage and the better team doesn't allways win sometimes it comes down to the coach choices.

@shogun47 I won’t be surprised if Mourinho decides to park the bus again in the final’s because that strategy has worked for him however if Sevilla score one or two quick goals then it could backfire on him hence I’m hoping that he creates a backup strategy. Lastly I want Mourinho to win and silence his critics who have said that he’s a finished coach because for me he’s yet an brilliant tactician who can improve any team he decides to coach.

So I wouldn't take Sevilla's victory for granted.

It's smart strategy. It doesn't matter what strategy that being used as long as it can give trophy and that's the main purpose in football. You will be known as a part of history if you were winning the trophy but you will be also known as a loser if you were losing in the final. Your fans will be singing chants to praise your team no matter what strategy used by its coach. Jose has proven itself boring football can beat beautiful football and why not?
