How did you know that was going to happen before it occurred? Roma will undoubtedly fall short in penalties. Nevertheless, Roma gave it their all to keep Sevilla at length from the start of the game until the additional minutes both times.

Bono saved one with his feet and technically touched the other one with the tip of his fingers and the all came back from the post. Sevilla were nearly giving a second chance to them. But thanks to Patricio's encroachment the penalty was repeated and Sevilla put an end to the game to win the title.

This is the first ever time Mourinho loses a finale in a European cup such as the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League. Sevilla are still finding a way to win the Europa League title even when they don't have a very good season in general.

All I know is that penalty is not easy and I see it as matter of lucky because even best prayers do lose penalty.However, despite the fact that both teams give it there own all, I believe that Sevilla puts in more of an effort and is therefore more deserving of the victory. I noticed this energy in them starting from the quarterfinals, when they faced some strong opponents on their way to this Europa League final. In fact, I don't think that the game will end in a penalty shootout since I genuinely believe in Sevilla over Roma but seriously the match is more than my expectation.

I'm glad that Sevilla won the Europa League and it was well deserved for a team that eliminated Juventus and Man United in a single season in the QF and SF respectively, and I'm much more glad that the Mourinho has never lost an Europeans final, as though winning those finals were down to him being a tactical genius especially with his awful style of play, and he showed it today again, no tactically smart manager would have had Dybala being subbed of first in that team today, he was Roma's best player in terms of chance created and passes when on the ball, but that was the player he subbed off first for Wijnaldum who I can't remember if he actually touched the ball at any point of the game.

I had a feeling that Sevilla's impressive record in this competition would continue, despite their struggles in La Liga. And they did prove me right! Sevilla outperformed Roma in every single aspect of the game. Let's face it that this cup has belonged to Sevilla for quite some time now. Sevilla in the European league final was like Rafael Nadal in the French Open final and Novak Djokovic in the Australian Open final where they are unbeaten and the title will be a certainty for them, congrats to Sevilla they deserved it after the doubts they received because of how it went in the league domestic is not convincing but beating Man United in the quarterfinals very convincingly and also beating Juventus in the semifinals is enough to prove that Sevilla cannot be doubted about their appearance in the Europa League, even if in the domestic league they are almost relegated but in the Europa League they are still a force that has not been beaten in the final.

They did played in Europa League in this season and in the final match but their victory is not convincing enough. If we only look at penalties, Sevilla deserve to win the final. If we look at the whole match, Sevilla are not deserved the win because the referee has many decisions against Roma. In many situations, he made joke by puling out his yellow card for Roma players but he refused to give Sevilla players the card in similar fouls or even worse fouls.

His decision to reject a penalty for Roma is another joke as Fernando's hand is not too close to his body at that moment after the cross pass from Matic. Lastly a joke when he rejected to give a second yellow card to Lamela with a foul against Ibanez.

Sevilla are strong but this win is not well deserved for them but I congratulate them for this trophy as this season is magical for them as some months they dived in relegation zone of La Liga.
