Apart from the drama of the referee who led the game, in my opinion Sevilla really deserved to win the final and the Europa League title this season after playing with high intensity.

I think it's unfair because Roma's chances of winning the Europa League this season and the first time they have to run aground due to bad refereeing for 90 minutes. Everyone knows that the referee is very problematic and the competition organizers should not give the referee the task of officiating a very important match in the final.

You are correct but football victory histories doesn't actually record the runners up so that why it would have better if he had found to secure that vital victory but all the same he is a wonderful manager and has tried for the club but history will record it as a famous victory for the sevilla team and this victory help them mark their seventh Europa league title which is actually a massive achievement for them.

It is not always right to hold everything to luck. Because even if Roma had lost 5-4 or 4-3 on penalties, it would have been accepted that Roma lost because of their bad luck. It was a bad management from the referee yesterday night.Roma played better until the point Dybala was out for that Netherland attacker which was the worse player of the whole match in my opinion.The referee missed two clamorous penalties for Roma and one for Sevilla and the bad thing was that he kept saying "No penalty,no penalty",I wonder why UEFA let Premier League referees in such finals,they are not fit for when two teams of other nations play each other as they are used to another type of football in the Premier League,I am not saying they should not manage a final but not such type of referees who made the game go a different way.

Because such a mistake in the final match was never expected from an experienced player like Gianluca Mancini. I didn't see Sevilla make much of an impact in the 90 minutes against Roma.  The match was tied at 1-1 despite an own goal but Roma had a disappointing performance on penalties. Only one short they got right and the rest were off target.

I would say Roma lost because of bad luck. Teams can't win unless they have good luck in the penalty shootout. I have seen many experienced goalkeepers in the past not perform well in the penalty shootout and the team lost as a result. However, the penalty shootout will become more exciting if Roma's goalkeeper performs a bit better. At the same time, Roma had to concede the goal due to Mancini's error. And in the end Sevilla was able to prove themselves and break all assumptions that they are not a better team than Roma. Sevilla's experience in the Europa League has been great even though I agree they can still be beaten by better teams, but with Roma I think Sevilla is still the best in terms of performance. Sevilla did make Roma have to work hard to defend their goal without conceding and because of that Roma tend to have difficulty developing their game.

I agree that Sevilla are the kings of the Europa League after winning their 7th title of the season. Several media have stated that the Sevilla League is no longer the Europa League because the Spanish team has won every final they have reached so far.

If you look at the game,the last PK was canceled after Roma's goalkeeper caught the ball,and it was replayed which the Argentine in the second time scored the PK to give his club the winner of this season Europa league. I don't see penalty as a weakness from the players who took them. I see penalty as a game of luck because the probability of winning any game with a penalty shoot out is 50-50.

I think they backed off a lot, and that is a signature move by Mourinho so I wasn't shocked but they didn't keep the possession a lot neither, and they didn't even had any proper counter attacking. The purpose of parking the bus is the fact that when the other team attacks, if you do not give them an inch, they will have to bring in everyone, otherwise just 3-4 attackers will not beat your 11 guys, so all of the other team comes, even their defenders are mostly beyond the halfway line, so they are 10 man all on your field.

In return of this, while it's risky and you may get scored, you have fast 2 wingers and one good attacker, and when you get the ball you take off and try to beat their defender and score on a counter attack. Roma didn't do that, they just laid back and let Sevilla attack, that's their trouble and eventually they lost.

Dybala was substituted in the 68th minute because he was injured again, correct me if I'm wrong. IMO, that's why Jose Mourinho pulled him out. even before Dybala was taken off, it was already 1-1. Dybala was taken off in the 68th minute, while the score drew 1-1 in the 55th minute. even then, a blunder from Gianluca Mancini's mistake which made an own goal.
As for Shaarawy, he actually had enough playing time because the match continued in extra time. however, there was not a single chance he created. I will say that AS Roma was really unlucky in this match, even though they were ahead by Dybala's goal in the 35th minute. it's a shame, the match continued in a penalty shootout and in the end As Roma fell.

Roma coach José Mourinho may not have had his players practice penalties before the final match, which is why Roma failed so badly in penalties. To be honest I'm pretty sure Sevilla can win the Europa League title this season as they managed to beat Manchester United in the second leg of the quarter final. I have been very impressed with their form since then and it has helped Sevilla come back from their La Liga slump. Sevilla then managed to beat Juventus who were in appearance a much better team, but in the end Sevilla actually won the match and they made it to the final.

In the final match against Rome, I also found Sevilla to have a good performance even though they were left behind by Paulo Dybala's goal. But in the end Roma had to make unforced errors in defense when preventing Sevilla's goal which led to an own goal. That was about the match though I admit that some of the refereeing decisions were not in favor of Roma last night.
