Japanese Animation Slot Machines

What do you think about these japanese slot machines?
Do you like them?
Would you gamble on them?

I'm curious, other than the character reacting if the gambler touches the fingertips long enough what else does it do? if you ask me I feel it is unnecessary and to be honest, I am a little disturbed especially when the characters on the screen looks like a child. what I think they should do is incorporate that feature into something more practical.

If you are not familiar with Japanese culture it can be disturbing for sure. They tend to use tiny sweet characters called Kawai around anything. I think main point is them being cute, sweet. But obviously some people relate them to sexual content they call hentai... anyways I think you can easily edit them making it less sexualized by changing face and clothing. Or you can use different cultural objects related to USA or UK etc.

When it comes to anime and something related to this then it cant really be that avoided on not to think about being too sexual or finding it a bit over on casual intent.

As just been mentioned that this do really serve out on such certain audiences, some might really get that interested and some wont and this would really vary since we do have different insights
with animated things.
Some might stick into those normal casino slots and some will really be trying out something new that they havent seen before.

I thought this topic is related to a specific slot game that can be played in crypto casinos but I was wrong. After checking how the slot looks like, it is a slot machine that can be played in real casino. Coming up to the question, my answer is simple. Sure I wont be interested to play because even if I'm interested, I wont be able to play it unless I come across to other country where such slot machine is available.

I think that slots with Japanese characters or manga will not be famous outside of Japan because these characters are familiar to a very narrow circle of people. In my opinion, to increase interest in slots, you should use more well-known characters or use a neutral theme that suits anyone regardless of where they live, interests, age, etc.

There are millions of anime fans all over the world.  I do not think that the fanbase are too narrow or just a small circle for this theme.

Just look at this statistics and see it yourself how huge the audience of anime is. So I think it is not a waste to have an anime themed slots.



Take note China is not included there since Chinese government puts up strict regulations on anime and I am sure there are lots of Chinese anime lover.

I bet at least a couple hundred millions of young people in China love anime and watch it.



I don't know how accurate Google is in this particular case, but it's pretty accurate normally.

So, I think by number of people watching anime China would take the first place. What's interesting is that from the table you quoted, USA is number one in this regard. That means that the slots from the OP can be even only US oriented and still make good money.

I think you are referring about Hentai games  .  Sadly they can't be publish in public because of the censorship.

Well, The target audience would be adults for most of the time since it's a slot machine. This could also brings memories to adults who likes anime or that became their childhood entertainment. As we saw on the OP, It's a Magi Madoka anime characters and fun fact it is released on 2011 and I'm sure that there are some adult now who watch this anime before. There are some older titles like the famous Evangelion which even west countries knows.

You are right and I just made some brief search and it seems that not only companies are taking aim to the memories and nostalgia of adults with anime series but also using popular videogame fanchises to capitalize within the gambling business. I found this article about Konami (the famous videogame developer) betting harder on turning their famous brands: Metal Gear and Silent Hill into pachinko machines.

These machines seem to be specially popular on Japan, but they want to bring them into the West as well, for more profit, of course.
Some may argue that using nostalgia for classic video games / anime could be a low blow from companies, but I am not sure whether it is true.

Japanese anime is too broad and they could design different themes depending on their target audience. Hentai would never be an option for sure. I guess it will attract people who have been addicted to anime especially during their younger days. It can add excitement and nostalgia.

This was a smart move from slots' developers to captivate anime's fans in order to gamble. I don't like this art style very much, but what I most enjoyed is the interactivity the game proportionates to the gambler, going much ahead than every other slot machines games around. It's the first time I see a touch-screen slots game where you can directly interact with the screen using your fingers. I guess the experience is much more immersive and impressive this way for the player who will definitely maximize the excitment of his gambling journey.

Actually, from the visual appearance of the game itself, it is still very simple, but with other features like the one in the video given by the OP, it clearly makes something different which makes it quite interesting there.
Personally, if this is indeed disseminated to other regions or countries, maybe I will try this because it is indeed a pleasure in itself and there is nothing wrong with trying this once in a while just to feel the sensation and without thinking about the money spent.
