Blockchain fraud is a very known issue for Blockchain applications like hacks, fraud and even criminal Darknet activities.
I want to ask for solutions how it  can be solved to catch more Blockchain fraudsters and prevent fraud.
People will be hacked less when we can catch more Blockchain fraudsters.

easiest thing would be consumer protection regulations

EG ask for new laws whereby any website that wants to be a business has to register as a business and be vetted as such (corporation tax numbers and CEO name)
any website that wants to be personal does not require registration
where people can then easily find out if a website is 'personal or business' to learn to trust only the ones registered as a business and easily spot the shady fake sites that use anonymity tools that are personal

heck even browsers and DNS services should flag websites registered under proxy/hidden services so that a browser icon can sit next to the address bar so people can see if a website is phishy by using hidden services/proxies etc

the simple solution is..
dont click on links within an email.
manually type in the actual websites address into an address bar.

and then.. even easier
stop relying on centralised services/custodian services to act as your wallet. and just use a proper wallet that does not use websites to scam/defraud you/phish you

I DO NOT TRADE OR ACT AS ESCROW ON THIS FORUM EVER.
Please do your own research & respect what is written here as both opinion & information gleaned from experience. many people replying with insults but no on-topic content substance, automatically are 'facepalmed' and yawned at

First step is avoid phishing links. Second avoid clicking links sent to you by unknown user or emails sent to you from unrecognised services. Brute forcing has been a big threat to the Blockchain industry for a long while and since the chains are linked anonymously it is  semi-impossible to track where an attack was launched from and where it is going self protection is always the only way to stay off fraudsters

You can only do your part as an individual but nothing can be done to stop blockchain fraudster from being part of the technology. It is decentralized and open to all, which means there will always be new fraudster in the blockchain while some are being caught.
As an investor all you can do is be observant and extremely careful with unknown links and website. Avoid all useless giveaways that don't appear realistic. Strictly follow recognized platforms and websites.

Honestly speaking Blockchain fraudsters or Crypto-currency fraudsters can't be completely stopped what we. An and should do is limit the success of fhei activity. I hear lots of people saying to non enthusiasts that Crypto is completely safe this alone can make many insensitive of the dangers, we can start by putting into our words to new guys that Crypto-currency also poses scammers problem

I want to ask for solutions how it  can be solved to catch more Blockchain fraudsters and prevent fraud.
People will be hacked less when we can catch more Blockchain fraudsters.
First, you need to ask yourself how do people or firm get hacked.

Centralized platforms are the most targeted and they easily get hacked due of some sort of error or loopholes in their coding system which Hackers exploits, they can also get hacked of other reasons ~ So in this regard, avoid using centralized platforms incase you are really really scared of being hacked.

In a decentralized eco-system, you are your security, you getting hacked or not depends solely on your actions, you get hacked if you loose your guide ~ So in this regard, in order not to be hacked, you have to -
  • Never loose your guide - be guided always, and always adhere to security protocols.
  • Keep yourself always updated with the latest security updates, you are your own system, the more outdated you are, the more prone you are to being attacked/hacked.

And on the topic of how to catch the blockchain fraudsters-
In a decentralized and anonymous community, you are a spirit, likewise the fraudsters, they don't know your true identity and you also likely not to ever know the true identity of the fraudsters too, governments can not help much in a decentralized system because they have access to nothing that do not belong to them, they have more power and control in a centralized environment ~ this brings me to what ive said before that, you are your security, if it is difficult to catch hackers and fraudsters in a decentralized system, make yourself also difficult to be hacked/be victim to a fraud in the same system.

I will tather admit calling them crypto fraudsters, blockchain technology itself is a secured network create that cannot be cheated against one another which is one the the reasons why you see many companies and organizations taking into considerations its use, this fraudsters have a way they uses element of blockchain like DAO, Defi or sometimes the programming languages to make manipulations in performing their hacks.

Buy bitcoin instead of scam coins that are never even yet existing but leading lead to scam, or you can buy existing coins that you can see valuable with high marketcap on Coinmarketcap. As long as people still think they can make it from new projects, this may continue.

Very effective solution would be if government create a regulatory organisation against new projects and other projects seen as securities. But for now, it is better to just avoid such projects instead, when there is no solid law against crypto regulation.

Don't use projects that can be hacked. Don't put your money in DeFi. Don't buy algorithmic stablecoins. Don't invest in NFT, ICO and other tokens. Trust only Bitcoin, because it was tested and reviewed by hundreds of the best professionals in the field, while all the new blockchain projects were tested by no one.

Indeed, there is no way to stop the fraudsters completely and permanently. And no way to limit the activity of the fraudsters, they will always do their activities to scam/trap people as long as there is an opportunity to steal people's assets/money. Crypto world is a very high risk, including the risk of being scammed by fraudsters. Only people who don't know crypto world who said crypto is a safe place, experienced people must understand the danger of fraudsters. There were too many cases of scams/frauds happening in crypto world.

I don't even understand the meaning of this sentence. Blockchain applications? What do you mean by blockchain applications? Do you mean DAPs in the ethereum blockchain or DeFi projects? The crypto exchanges and crypto wallets aren't exactly blockchain applications.
I hear the term "blockchain fraudster" for the first time. Grin How do you define that term, OP? A guy who uses the blockchain for conducting fraud? This doesn't sound correct to me. Can't you just call these guys "scammers" or "hackers" instead of "blockchain fraudsters"?
The only way to reduce or prevent fraud, scams and hacks is to be cautious with our own browsing activities and staying away from things that sound too good to be true.

It shouldn't really concern you unless you are the police or you run an important crypto service (maybe an exchange, casino, or mining pool).

You have to think at the level where it's most likely going to hit you - that is, scammers. How to avoid getting scammed by them, recognizing their dirty tricks and other signs that they are pulling off a heist.

Be careful with the apps you trust your money with. What happened with the exploits in Solana's Slope wallet should also serve as a warning that it's not just hackers/scammers that you should worry about but also the developers. It's really absurd that no matter how careful you are in protecting your funds (using their wallet), they can still expose your own seed phrase to other people.

Social engineering is everywhere and it's not only limited to blockchain hacking or anything related to crypto hacks. If you're going to advocate fighting against it then the best way is to educate anyone about technologies. About how people should be careful with their transactions, and how they should avoid those unsolicited links and unwanted emails that are popping into their inboxes. Like the typical way of avoidance into the other usual internet tricks by these scammers, hackers and fraudsters.

Pretty simple. You educate yourself so you wouldn't fall for such fraud. This is one of those things that the authorities can do very little to help you, so you can only rely on yourself.

Fraudsters are always hard to catch because they are good at hiding behind the data they fake. So they are always hard to catch and the option to reduce fraud and hacking is to reduce trusting each new person you don't fully know even though sometimes you need someone else to do your job. But you don't have to completely trust everyone you don't know who they really are. I think that's all you can do now to reduce scams as well as hacks.

People will be hacked less when we can catch more Blockchain fraudsters.
People will be hacked less when they stop believing everything they see and hear. Being your own bank also means being your own security department. Pay attention to what you do and use common sense to determine if something is good or fake. It's better to be paranoid and consider everything to be a scam (and never get scammed/hacked), than to believe in free money and online personalities that want to help you get rich. That's how you get scammed.

I hear lots of people saying to non enthusiasts that Crypto is completely safe...
Crypto is only as safe as the person using it is cautious. If no one can access your private keys and seeds, you will be safe. Unless a different vulnerability is discovered or there is an inside job in case of closed-source software. If they can, your coins are gone unless you have additional measures to protect them like multisig setups or passphrases.

There's really nothing we can do about it except by spreading some awareness about it and continuing to be aware of possible strategies of fraudsters. Knowledge is really important when it comes to this kind of stuff because you cannot determine the fakes from legit if you don't have any basic knowledge of how their scams work. Thankfully in this community, you can learn lots of preventions on how to avoid getting hack or scam you just to have some spare times to read it.

Greed is the biggest problem. That's what most fraudsters exploit. That or insufficiently tested software (like DeFi, new wallets, new exchange platforms, atomic swaps).
If you are less greedy, if you don't go after each wild promise, if you take some precautions (don't keep too much money on centralized platforms, protect your local wallets properly), then you are safe.

Don't jump head first in every new "offer". Think very good every move you do. Think "I would really do this with my card?".

Proper awareness across different forms of media can help lessen the fraud victims. These reports are still rampant because people are too gullible that they easily fall from a simple fake message which says they won some amount of crypto that they only need to provide the requirememts they need to ask. Blockchain fraudsters can't be easily tracked so the best thing we can do is to not fall from their bad motives.
