The price already went $2k recently, it should be able to bounce again to that level in a few days knowing there is a good response to the announcement made about the merge which could happen earlier than Sept 15th.

It did rally somehow along with  BTC going $25K. We're moving up without the halving, it's either fewer people are selling thier BTC or they have sold it all already.

For now the price of Bitcoin is back down and we need to see if it will go back up or it will go back down this is interesting,
the market is really difficult to predict and it is necessary to follow its development,
we'll see what happens next

Well it looks like there will be more correction or probably a continuation of bearish since it already showing a head and should pattern. And based on my technical analysis before when it comes such pattern it always makes the market worse so i wouldn't be surprised if ethereum continue to fall again after some correction, like lower highs..

Starting September, now this is where some last FOMO investors start buying and might push the ETH to higher, over $2k. So for now, I say we should DCA in a bit. The hype of the merge brings a positive sentiment on ETH this August.  We can see it in the increasing price of ETH.

I think the hype is lingering around ETH though not enough to trigger FOMO, but it sure will make the price of ETH slowly go up.  Depending on your range of price to call it sideways, I believe ETH will uptrend slowly this August.  And yeah it is still a good time to accumulate ETH by DCA'ing.

The luck of ETH is that somehow people still continue to believe in this altcoin and that is why the price of ETH in relation to bitcoin is at 0.07 BTC and thanks to this price that ETH is still above 1400$ even when the price of bitcoin drops a lot, but the instant that the price of ETH drops a lot in relation to Bitcoin then we will see a big drop in the price of ETH, but for now people don't need to worry, they just have to keep an eye on the price of bitcoin, as long as that also the price of bitcoin does not fall below 17000$ which in my opinion if that happens then even the price of ETH in relation to bitcoin will drop a lot below 0.07 BTC

For Ethereum, the news sentiment is bullish, because there is important news regarding the Ethereum Merge,
it looks like Ethereum has increased to almost touch $2k, but the sentiment from Bitcoin is still very bearish,
this caused a dump, and Ethereum failed to break its heavy resistance at $2k

Here we go again, you don't even looking on the price history of a coin before you reply in a discussion? Ethereum for God's sake has touched and even above $2k just a few days ago. Next time feel free to research first before you reply to a discussion.

I think we are optimistic about crypto conditions, of course the opportunity for that $2.5k is still in sight. However, we are pessimistic about market conditions. The shooting star's condition isn't over yet. The red chart show happened slowly.

All the other cryptocurrencies pumped a little to pump Bitcoin a little.  Yes ethereum was in this list already seen ethereum 2k worked but I think situation is not ready yet to go ethereum 2.5k.  We will have to wait a little more time for this as the market is not yet stable but it is expected to start recovering in early to mid 2023 when etherium may be seen at 2.5k+.
However, we should be prepared for any situation as many analysts believe that the market is still likely to turn more bearish

After these last couple of days, I'm starting to doubt it.  We have like just a week to go before the month ends.  So yeah, no expectations here but if it goes over 2k and stays there by end of August, cool.  And if not, whatever.  We'l move on to the September sentiment poll and see.  Lolol.  Let's take it month by month and before you know it, it's the kind of bull market when you just buy any coin and it pumps no matter how dumb it is.  I miss it. 

Looking at the ETH chart right now.  Looks like it's just going sideways down there.  Maybe the calm before the pump?  Cope.  Lol.

What I do believe is that Ethereum bight not get that 2k again till this month ends but indeed that the question applied already broken as 2k is the ATH this August and we will be seeing another one in the next couple of months.

Even if Ethereum doesn't break 2k you can at least use it on MAXX finance during the free claim round to get your MAXX airdrop. If you aren't swing trading you could stake your ETH on Kraken for 3-5% APY. you are among those who choose to believe that ethereum can make changes by being above $2K, but I do not believe that and I choose "No" because there has been no movement so far that will lead to improvement.



many chose "Yes" and strongly believe that a change will occur, but currently ethereum is at $1,650.78 it looks like it will be difficult to surprise with a break above $2K. it looks like there will be a movement with bitcoin starting to improve by the end of this year which will also affect changes in ethereum and other coins.
so it takes a lot of patience at this time, because all there is no sign of an improvement.

Just a simple poll to get a feeler on what this part of the forum thinks of ETH and the altcoin market right now.  I would've asked for 2.5k but I guess breaking out 2k has as much psychological effect as 2.5k.

Anyway, how do you guys feel about the market right now?  Getting bullish?  And in a good way?  There are times when you have to worry when everybody starts getting bullish.  I feel like this is not that.  But dunno...  I want to know what you guys think.

I agree, we can see that the crypto market for all coins is starting to be bullish, and while the crypto market continues to decline due to the pressure from the dollar value through the dollar index (DXY), and the sentiment from the Fed which has not relaxed the country's economy, but I believe the price of bitcoin will increase again, because it's not something hard to miss either. In this case, the most important thing for you in investing in cryptocurrency is patience and thoroughness.

The question is, shouldn't everybody be starting to buy early now instead of waiting to get in at the last minute?  I think ETH is going to go down after the merge imho.  Maybe something kinda like buy the rumor, sell the news kind of scenario happening.  The market just sucks right now and no amount of good news for ETH would take the price higher and stay higher.  Imagine if the merge happened around late 2020.  ETH to 10k easy in a couple of months imho.

The poll is wrong again, sad to say. Although we have a brief run to $1,900 if I'm not mistaken, it was not enough to push pass $2k as the market turn bearish in the last 2 weeks. ETH and BTC lost a lot of ground the current price is $15++. Hopefully with the merger, we will see at least $2k in this pump. And I agree that if the merger happen in the bull run last year, there will be a massive spike in the price, setting new all time high for ETH, timing is wrong, but still it's good for the community so I guess they will have to do it. And it has a lot of delays already so this has to happen regardless of the market sentiments.

I voted "Yes" but I think it will be temporary and will end the month at below $2k.

Seems The Merge is too obvious a play to assume it will keep going up all the way through Sept 15, when the fork is estimated to occur.

Though I thought for sure we'd be higher than the $1500s.

I don't own any ETH, sold the last of it last month, but good god my other crypto bags are going stale.

When will we break out of this funk?

Hopefully the answer is "this month" as Wall Street comes back from summer vacation.

Ethereum did break 2k this August but suddenly drops down before it ends but at least some of us(including me) got a change to earn 7% just this month lol.

and now i am going to buy again maybe waiting for at least 1400 price.

The poll is wrong, but I think its not solely because of the ETH, the crypto market in general currently not that good. The sentiment toward crypto is not that good either, with the fall of Terra and the recent flaw showed by Solana, the the whole crypto industry is getting bad sentiment. However, this ETH merge hype is not ended yet, I hope the hype will take the price higher.
