What did you hyg them for and what hve they dropped against?

Did you buy ICOs and have they fallen against btc and eth? If those two were true then I think there's a chance you've made a loss more permenantly and it's probably worth looking at what you did wrong to try not to repeat the same mistake.

If you didn't buy an ico and just bought a coin that was hyped then you might be better off holding some of the coins (and transferring the majority back into btc) as we might see similar runs again but price might drop a lot too between now and then.

If you bought coins you thought would do well but didn't, this is the one that's going to be harder to assess. If they've still got an active team and they look to be doing things and coming up with new ideas then you might be better off holding the coins. If not then you'll be better off selling them - especially if they're low volume and low volatility.

I have more confidence in bitcoin because many altcoins can give good return for those that buy at low price, but the altcoins did not reach all-time-high in 2021/2022, but the later might be your case as you invested when the price of the coin is huge, but now low during bear market.

If you want a coin that can reduce in price and increase and reach all-time-high, you should have gone for bitcoin.

The whole market is down including bitcoin, so I don't think you should panic, I don't really believe in altcoins you should have invested in bitcon to be on a safer side, hope the money you invested you won't be needing it for now because nobody knows when the market will bounce back. Of course, it will but still depends on lot of matter, the main reason is its bearish season so what you need to do is to wait, until the price is greater than the time you bought it, simple.

99% of those altcoins won't ever come back to the old all time high and sooner you realize that, the better. I was in a similar situation back in 2018 when I had bunch of altcoins that dropped much compared to the price it was when I initially bought them. After some thinking I've decided to sell all of them with a loss and it proved to be an excellent decision because if I waited for a new bull market, I would lose way more. Its not easy to sell with the loss, but more often than not it is a right decision.

Buying tokens that are not in the top 30 in CMC is considered useless to me and should be taken serious risk if taken for consideration.

There are bunch of risky and useless shitcoins in top 30 so its not like it is a much lower risk.

There's more possibilities that things might go right as expected in the later future but just know this incase of nexttime, as a newbie to cryptocurrency you're not expected to go extra miles investing on NFT, why don't you invest on the real coin (bitcoin) first, by thereafter when you would have grown a thicker skin on investments then you can risk token investment, but just know that the chances for the said invested token you did to rise is under probability,  and should incase it works to your favour luckily then never repeat such but rather invest on bitcoin.

Before answering your question I have to know which tokens or coins you have bought.  Because there will be different  answer for each one if you invest in bitcoin or top alt coins then I think you will definitely recover with the market .  On the other hand, there are many alt coins whose supply is increasing day by day and also they haven't any burning system or the burning system is not working at all.  In this case Even if the market recovers , there are many questions about their recovery.

It all depends on the tokens you bought. If they are shitcoins or ICO, it might not return to what it was when the bear market continues. But if it is well known altcoins that you bought, don't bother so much, before the ending of September, btc will get to $30k and your tokens will return to live. Disclaimer - DYOR.

If you are buying any coin apart from bitcoin and some popular altcoins, make sure you enter the market at a good time and do not stay for long without getting out of the markets. Most of the altcoins aren't reliable, you don't need to sleep on them for long.

If you can share some coin names here, maybe you will see many opinions so that can be your consideration to hope that coin can still increase or just sell and not buy anymore. But if the coins you bought have a chance to increase, such as ETH, BNB, SOL, etc., you should hold the coins because someday, the price can increase.

If this coin is in top 100 cmc then this is not alarming at all this is normal in bear market wait for the cycle but if you are talking about shitcoin holdings with no active devs and no updates at all you have to worry about it, you may cut your losses or still hold and trust.
