I haven't noticed any difference. But, if the list gets too large, you'll get a timeout when trying to view
Ignore user options. I just checked: I have 340 users on my list, and it takes a while to load already.
I expected a much longer list. This page is opening slow for me as well, and I have much less names than you in my Ignorelist.
I guess nobody did comparison for opening pages but I didn't notice this slowdown in other forum pages.
However I have given up on trying to build and maintain a big list. I kept only a few exceptionally verbose users in it who make it painful to scroll through threads, but otherwise I just "tune out" (scroll through) the posts that I don't want to read instead of using the ignore function.
It's not easy to just tune out posts from some members, especially if they are creating many topics with empty discussion.
If I notice someone creates new topics often and they don't have any meaningful content inside, or they ask same questions multiple times, I choose to ignore this member.
I use my Ignorelist in similar way like I use my uBlock extension to hide ads and unwanted content.
I suppose it would make it easier to avoid irritation from time to time, but I don't take anything that happens here too seriously. It's just a forum, after all.
Even if someone say you are a nazi troll?
Some people take it very seriously and it seems like they have a mission to ruin and destroy other people lives.
I mean imagine if in real life you had the option to chose if you want or don't want to see some guy all the time and everything he does (in elevator, tv, work, shop, etc.)
