Ergo looks like the main competitor of Ravencoin in terms of mining, which one do you think it's more valuable to mine and keep for future? What do you think about Ergo project?

Don't waste your time with those coins, they consume the double of energy than the Eth protocol, next coin for mining is ETC.

ETC simply because ETH will become POS?

Because the company that make ASIC miners make those machine to work with Ether protocol and right now they are making more machines. Also check how much energy consume raven and ergo and compare it with eth and you will undestand.
Example:

This is a good moment to buy ETC.

I agree with this for people who want to collect ETC now, personally I don't want to collect it although it is a good idea to do so,I have switched my rigs to mine ETC and have added some low performing rigs with Rx 570 cards to my main ones but I always ask the mining payment in Bitcoin because I believe in the king most than any other coin in the long term.My second best idea is the same as yours to collect as many ETC as possible.

The only reason why anyone would direct their rig to mine ETC is hoping that the value increase after the ETH merge is successful but you guys have forgotten that ETH forks are coming, they might be a better option than ETC.

See the BTC forks...

ETC is a fork of ETH and is the future of POW.

Efficiency wise its better to keep mining either Ethereum or Ethereum classic, if you really want Ergo or Raven coin I suggest you buy them on exchanges, if Ethereum goes to PoS today I will be switching my rigs to Ethereum Classic even if its not profitable anymore.

ETC rised over the last weeks, and it will continue. I wouldn´t trust this new forks for ETH after the merge - ETC is the original ETH chain, it exist for so long time, with max cap coins, reward reduction after a specific block time and it is the 3. biggest PoW network at the moment.

Forget these two projects and focus on ethereum classic, though the new forks of ETH might be more profitable for a while, if that happens it will be better to mine the most profitable, either its the forks or ETC the profit is what matters..Raven coin and Ergo will still be less profitable.

1) ERG(autolykos) consumes ~15% less than ethash and ~40% less than kawpow
2) I'm not really following the oracle solution that ergo provides for cardano, but it could have certain potential... I guess, assuming ADA has bright future

This means we should all switch our rigs to ETC in order to collect a couple of them until when the ASIC manufacturers do what they need to do to sell their devices and we can make some nice profit depending on how much ETC we have collected when that day it comes.I have encouraged for this and a couple of other reasons in different other threads to do that but people prefer to make 1 USD more daily by mining Ethereum and thus missing out on an opportunity like this one if it happens to come true.

No, that means keep mining ETH for better profits then trade it for ETC at an exchange

To pump the price of a coin, ASIC manufacturers must have a large share of coins on the market. They can also create a new coin and manipulate its price as they want. The profit on the sale of ASICs is not so big as to manipulate the prices of old coins on the market.

I also , like the other opinions above, believe that the next coin to be mined after eth is etc that can be mined with asic and has a similar algorithm, between the two mentioned on a personal level i prefer ergo

to do raven mining with polaris graphics cards, try my mod. after editing the bios of the card and writing exactly the numbers I have entered, then select the ocC settings. with this mod, the consumption will drop to 50 watts per card in the kawpow algorithm, and the temperature of the card will be close to 60-65 degrees. the hashrate will be a little above 13Mhs. I have also made an operating system for the polaris cards, but I am preparing a new version with multialgo on zergpool and I will upload it later.

Thank you, but I prefer not to change the bios on video cards that have been mining for more than 5 years. This leads to big problems or turning the video card into a brick.Apparently there is already a degradation of the video chip on the video card, it does not work well during overclocking.
