Bitcoin has much more of a use when compared to Litecoin. LTC doesn't have that many people wanting to use it because the people that go into LTC usually just want to exchange their coins into Bitcoin. If Litecoin had major stores wanting to accept it along with Bitcoin then it would have some use to it.

Those are want to using litecoin just interested to avoid the high fees through use the bitcoin for directly, The direct fees is so high compared with use the another coin such as litecoin with 4x more faster block rather than bitcoin itself. THere is no reason for use litecoin anymore.

Both are good stable coins, Bitcoin fees are really good right now, if you avoid all the places that price gouge fees.

I'd say no. It may spike up, but I have my doubts if it'll remain constant. Litecoin frankly doesn't have as much media exposure to make it work, and remember according to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=47417.0 it is meant to be the 'silver' to Bitcoin, which it kind of already has achieved.

If bitcoin does reject it. I haven't seen any big news telling that. Only themerkle.com made an article and there it's written that Segwit is expected to be 80% activated with bitcoin by this September and that miners don't support it not because of some technical reasons but because of roadmap of bitcoin core. Thus I guess btc still has chances to survive. Nevertheless, litecoin has very good chances to grow more and more in price anyway.

Agree new promising coin in present can replace old coin in next time, but I think LTC is not in list old coin will replace by new coin, LTC is "young brother" of Bitcoin and always follow the price of Bitcoin. In past month, the price fall down more maybe by the whale control the price. In end 2017, I can sure 100% the price of LTC will comeback and go to the moon!!!

Have you ever asked why after SegWit success, LTC only reduced and decreased? I not know reason to make that, is take profit by people bought when the price 0.01? Maybe but I think can't drop from 0.02x to 0.01 again, just whale and big boy can do that and they want control the price for buy cheap again before pump in next time. I will waiting the time prove my idea is true

My personal gut feel is that due to having higher liquidity than BTC, and a much shorter block time, is that it might be worth up to a 16th of a BTC rather than a quarter. It's kind of about how fast money can move through it. Hypothetically to move a million USD through BTC you need to own the coins for an hourish, but 10 people can move a million through LTC in that time.

Anyway, because of that, I feel that LTC price should be supportable long term at 0.0625, strong use cases could make it 0.125, but over that I feel will be pure speculative bubbliness.

LTC getting that high sound too skeptical for me too. LTC has not moved from 0.03 since so long. People are getting their money into BTC on priority and then second most investment is going into Ethereum. LTC is getting invested but it is not following right path to get that much hike as others have got. Instead of that there are some coins which are even better at getting market capitalisation as compared to LTC. So the question is whether LTC will be able to sustain its market in the future or not. What if another coins takes over as well know commodity in the market? The LTC will get more depressed by that action leaving behind no stains of its existence. This is just imaginative discussion on the basis of current behaviour of LTC. World can turn upside down anytime.

If Bitcoin rejects segwit it will be because of political reasons, philosophical feelings or in some cases people actually believe you can have an unlimited blocksize on a decentralized network. The code has been vetted, tested and is well written. Not sure why anyone would suggest otherwise. If you reject segwit fine; but, dismissing the code seems somewhat disingenuous. It's good code.

That said it remains unknown what will happen to bitcoin. If two chains emerge value might split down the middle or some variation of percentages. The summed value might be far less than the current total. Definitely, some value might transfer to other coins. We will find out soon enough.

Maybe but we need more to reach that because 0.25 bitcoin is very big I think next year or 2 years litecoin will reach that price but as of now the price pf litecoin possible to reach will be 0.1 bitcoin I hope it will happen before the end of this year 2017. More litecoin more money to come so what are you waiting for  buy litecoin now and enjoy the profit later . Just hold and keep it your litecoin so you can make a lot of profit.

After seeing market becoming like 5x 10x in couple of months, I basically expect anything.
Litecoin is old, verified (not scam), useful fast to use coin which can do great. But who knows?
Noone expected ether doing this too.
