Sorry if i write this in wrong section, admin/mod can replace the topic in that chase.

I wanted to exchange some of my Monero to bitcoins ,at the exchange site i sent the Monero how ever it did not arrive in time so the time frame ran out, at start i could not spend anything from monero wallet duo to doubble spent error message, but the wallet still displays my coins. How ever today it says i have send the XMR and my wallet is now empty with the status of pending on the amount i tried to send to the exchange site
Where is the problem, the exchange site never got the monero it seems? But why is my wallet pending the amount and why wont it bounce back?

I use monero online wallets. Any help would be very helpful.
Im willing to pay a fee to anyone who can sort this issue and a few other crypto issues like this asap.

Bitcoin and monero transactions are irreversible when they confirm, in other words there is no "bounce back" if you already sent the transaction and it got confirmed.

What exchange service are you using, a centralized exchange or one of those coin swap platforms? CEX doesn't have a time frame to run out, they should credit your account any time the payment is received. The coin swaps have a time frame but you have to contact them with the transaction information and see what they can do for you.

When you spend Monero it may take many minutes until the rest of your balance is properly spendable (including the change).
Even more, not long ago Monero had a big update (possibly hard fork). If the wallet you're using or the exchange didn't update, one of them may be working with the wrong blockchain.
Since you've been using 3rd party services, you'll have to ask their support and track your problem. From what I see, it's not an issue of Bitcoin or Monero, it's some service's problem.

It's not you who has to update, obviously; it's the website owner who has to update. But being the most known (imho) online service for Monero wallet, I'd expect they did and the exchange didn't. However, as I said, ask the support. Ask the support of MyMonero; ask the support of the exchange.

MyMonero wallet is what OP used, it's an open-source wallet and I think you'll have control over your keys but the difference is this wallet doesn't have a built-in exchange feature, you need to choose a third party exchange when you want to diversify into other coins like Monero converting to Bitcoin.

CakeWallet would be the best wallet for Monero because it has an exchange feature itself that supports Bitcoin and Litecoin and as I've heard it's open-source also.  Or else, the best of all is a hardware wallet like Ledger Nano S wallet with full node support.

I've suspected also that this isn't a problem with the wallet that OP used, it's on the exchange, just contact the support of that exchange as stated above.
I hope OP will come back and give an update here.

This sounds like the most likely cause, the hard fork happened 3 days before this topic was created.

Most of the exchanges who have dynamic addresses allow you to post in old addys, but sometimes those deposits take more time.

The real problem here is the Monero blockchain. They are too anonymous to the point that if you want to look at the transaction in a block explorer, it will show different addresses and empty amounts. So, it's complex to prove to the exchange the transaction. Maybe the amount and the time stamp is the real info that you can provide to their support. Things would be easier if you were dealing with bitcoin where blockchain shows real information.

Yes it is, Monero support says they are working on this issue and until then you can not see your balance on the online wallet, Was supposed to be solved last week according to monero support but still no funds..
Feels strange that a crypto like monero didnt do this big update in a much smoother way, or maybe its not possible? My funds have been pending/not showing for over 10 days now.

The blame should be on the monero or the wallet service provider?

I feel the wallet service provider is here to blame because they didn't get the update on the time so you are waiting until they implement the changes and there is no wonder if it takes few more weeks but better use the reputed wallet in the future so you will get the updates on time and also you will have the complete control of your keys unlike online wallets.

What monero online wallet you've been using? If this is something a non-custodial one or totally decentralized then the receiving point (exchange) does have that problem.
If the transaction shown that it had been transferred on the correct address on where that exchange gives then it should really be there as long it is confirmed
and since you could track and see it fully then there's no doubt that exchange you are dealing with is something shady.
You should at least do make out some mention on what wallet you've been using and what exchange you are talking into.

Not just Bitcoin and Monero, once you sent out a transaction and it get confirmed in a block its over, there is no way to redirect a transaction that's been confirmed, the only way is if the receiver send them back, that's if one know who the receiver is.

Wrong, if the coin is centralized, there's a way to freeze the coin and refund it back even though the receiver didn't do anything. This because the CEO and the team has a control the whole of his coin, not like a coin that really decentralized and the CEO or team don't have any way to freeze the coin.

The signature you wear is one example of centralized coin, so be worried if you plan to hold it for long term Cheesy

I use monero online wallets. Any help would be very helpful.
I assume that you are sending Monero to a centralized exchange. Because centralized exchanges partially require manual confirmation. Maybe you can see the coins in your wallet, but they haven't sent the coins to the exchange wallet so you can't make the next transaction. You need to be patient until the exchange team confirms it, or you can send a ticket to the team.
Do not send information in the telegram group, because that information will be used by scammers, and they will contact you asking for a fee, while they cannot solve the case. Send a PM to the exchange admin or group admin!

It is possible that there was an error in exchanging coins so that they did not arrive on time.
You should be able to do this via the XMR.TO site
