The Bitcoin Lightning App for your Browser. Alby brings Bitcoin payments to the web with in-browser payments and identity, all with your own wallet.
You can use your own lightning node, or a custodial one, it's open source, and it works great. It's worth checking it out if you're interested in using lightning in the web.

@op,  are you the owner of this service/company?, or were you paid to promote it?
Or are you just sharing a service you tried, and felt it's worth trying by everyone else?

Which of the above is your position with this service/company,  I have my reasons for asking.

Just to be clear, this is basically a Lightning wallet inside a browser extension / a way to access your Lightning node through a browser extension?

I'd find it much more helpful if it enabled you to pay on actual non-Lightning enabled websites. By generating a one-time credit card, paying for it through LN and entering the details on the payment page directly. I've seen a proof of concept of something like this a while back and I'd love to see it in practice.

But just for automating copy and pasting of Lightning invoices, I don't really see a lot of use for such an extension.

@op,  are you the owner of this service/company?, or were you paid to promote it?
He is certainly not the owner and he was not paid to promote it  Smiley
I know BitGoba from our local board, he recently started with his own lightning node, he posted bunch of useful information for Bitcoin and Lightning Network.
He even suggested we could use Alby in Bitcointalk forum for tipping and donating for posts, but first they need to add support for out forum.

Just to be clear, this is basically a Lightning wallet inside a browser extension / a way to access your Lightning node through a browser extension?
They way I understand, this is not a wallet but you can connect it with your own node and other wallets.

But just for automating copy and pasting of Lightning invoices, I don't really see a lot of use for such an extension.
How about using it in bitcointalk for sending tips for posts in LN? Wink
I think he is going to ask developers to add support for bitcointalk (and other forums), and they are currently supporting youtube, reddit, twitter, and other social media platforms.

Oh I see; I saw those social media bot-based Lightning donation systems in the past. Basically, you don't pay the recipient directly, but a middleman that holds the funds and allows the social media account which received the donation to withdraw it.
I believe it would be simpler to paste a BOLT12 invoice in your profile e.g. in the MSN text field, since that removes the middleman. But you do need your own node for that.
