Im looking to buy a miner that has no more than 100 Watts of power draw for solo lottery mining. Do you know any old models that are cheap to get that only have such a power draw? What are the best new Miners to buy that are available in Europe?

Edit: Added a question about status display https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5410345.msg60784841#msg60784841

100 watts is not going to happen unless you want to use USB stick miners. But by the time you add in a few watts for the controller and other overhead for the powered USB hub you are probably going to be over 100W

Under 200W can be done with the futurebit:
https://shop.futurebit.io/products/pre-order-apollo-btc-a-bitcoin-asic-miner-and-desktop-class-computer-running-a-full-node-and-much-more-batch-1-ships-in-late-april-to-may?variant=33404796928099

Keep in mind none of these are ever going to generate any profit once you factor in equipment costs, but they are fun to play with.

There is no other option only the USB stick miner and futurebit could run at 100 wattages below.

I also want to suggest check Compac f you can find the official thread here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5355470.0

Compac F can hash around 300gh/s to 500gh/s and it can pull around 25w. So if you have 4 of them the total power is around 100w with 1-2th/s. This miner is a bit pricey compared to futurebit as suggested above.

I can vouch for the Compac F’s. I have 6x on the Gekkoscience USB hub and they have been running like champs. They pull 120w just for the sticks and fan, you will need a raspi4 or similar to control them though so add some more watts for that.

I had a Futurebit Apollo BTC aswell but prefer the Compac F’s.

In the end I decided to go with a FutureBit apollo BTC since I got a good deal on that. I got a unit without a controller and will just run it of my raspi 2 b with Armbian if that works. I saw pictures like this that show the current hashrate etc. Does somebody know an easy step by step guide on how to do it? (I would also prefer to have a more modern display)

The image shows a raspberry pi with an ASIC block erupter it was posted on Coindesk year 2013 but can't able to access it.
But I found a similar it seems a bit different on the image but they look the same with some guide step by step how to do it check the guide below.

It should just be a simple RasPi display application that runs on another thread. Poke around the various RasPi Maker sites for the display boards and the code to have an app periodically query the cgminer API (that Kano wrote) to get the data you want to display.

btw: Kano is now the sole active developer for cgminer since -ck long ago closed his cgminer thread and locked his cgminer git. The most current repository is Kano's. Along with writing the CompacF driver and adding it he also cleaned up a lot of other code and drivers while he did it  Wink

It’s not hard, I’m a total beginner and for me it’s harder to setup a USB Compac F Miner Cheesy so it’s easy with a Antminer S9, flashing the BraiinsOS+ with a SD-Card, login to ur S9 over the IP and set the max Power to 100W for 1 board and then use only 1 hashing board, at the end you will have 1.1Th/s for about 110W, it’s not really hot and it’s not loud with only 1 Board, you will hear only the PSU, not the Miner

the usb miners are easier to setup.

Would it also possible to change the fans of the miner to standard 120mm computer fans to make it even quieter, or does Braiins OS doesn't work then anymore? I ask this question because I think I will use the miner to run all 3 boards at 100 Watts each if this is possible with basically no noise.

No, you can't replace it with an incompatible fan you should only replace it with the compatible fan but if you want to test it in Braiins OS maybe the fan will always run at full speed by enabling immersion mode.

Why don't you just adjust the fan speed at a very low speed(The stock fan) just make sure to monitor the temp but since you set the power limit to 100w I think it won't get hot too much.

More or less CFM = 3.25 x Watts / allowed temp rise deg F
So figure out room temp and how hot you want your miner to run an you can do the math of how much air you have to move.
This is not perfect but should give you a good idea of how fast / slow you have to run the fans. It's also a worst case scenario of heat transfer.

So I just ordered a used S9i for a very good price to see what results I can get with the standard fans. If it is not enough then I will try to watercool the whole thing, since I already have a lot of components for that here. If somebody has already done this I would be happy to see some pictures!

So which one is it, then?

Apollo would be my personal choice, it's easy to use and does not need any tinkering or firmware manipulation. Has built in 125W Eco mode:
Code:
Apollo Miner
Hashrate: 1997 GH/s
Error rate: 0.3%
Power draw: 125 W
Temperature: 55°C
Fan: 2128 RPM
At this setting is inaudible, it has only one small fan, but I can't hear it. In a quiet office at night, my computer is much louder.
No problem to go below 125W, just tweak desired hashrate output setting.

I received the apollo but returned it since the power supply made a very annoying noise which was caused by some internal component (not the fan). Also the Apollo was very expensive and therefore I choose to buy an S9i. The S9i runs perfectly and also if the prices increase or I have free electricity I can bump it up to earn more.
Still I don't have the status display yet though.
