The official PancakeSwap Telegram communities group are listed over https://docs.pancakeswap.finance/contact-us/telegram, so if the group or announcement channel that sent that shady message isn't listed on there, it is very likely that it's a scam.

I guess if you have joined in the fake telegram group? This is the official telegram group https://t.me/pancakeswap There's no any announcement about scam message to ask you to sync your wallet to the exchange site for fixing issue.
I hope that you can check it again whether you have been joining in the correct group or not. There are so many scam or duplicate groups created by scammers.

Mate it's totally fake, I am in that official PancakeSwap telegram channel and it was not hacked or whatsoever, I suggest that you make some proper research about the official PancakeSwap social media channels so that you will not become a victim of those shady copycats information channels who just created to scam people so keep safe everyone.

The pancakeswap telegram group does not have 238 followers but the 78k followers are official so it's possible that you are included in a fake telegram under the name of the official Pancakeswap so be careful about this scam.

This must be avoided because telegrams are cattle of fraud everywhere, even those who DM first, we need to know a lot if it doesn't make sense to you then get out and report the group.

well there's a lot of groups nowadays that has has the same name of some legitimate platforms that can really gained more followers as well on the telegram because of how it's so easy to join by doing simple research only.. So if it's not the official or should i say a fake group, i wouldn't be surprised why they have such followers..

And good luck to those who followed the group without doing any research to get more information which is legit group for pancakeswap swap and which is fake.

Thats the best thing telegram did actually.  The group is surely a fake account whose an older group for other project or such group which changed their name into pancakeswap official telegram.  Well,  they could change and imitate the format but the record or the tagged as scam will be there for community sake. So dont ever try to deal or negotiate when you already saw the tagged.

Never trust communities on telegram regarding crypto before you find out the official link directly on the related project website. There are tons of scammers who try to scam people in crypto, from impersonating an admin or core team and contacting community members directly to impersonating the community directly.

Telegram is had already been a place for most scammers because of easy access and can alter most details.

So whether it's an official account or not, you don't have to sync your wallets through a telegram channel or bot. If you're curious and careful, you're just going to ignore it.

I have joined in the official telegram account and it seems like i didn't find any suspicious announcement that ask people to connect their wallets to the defi. How big followers didn't mean if it can be trusted. The scammers can use the bots to increase their telegram followers. It's better if you are checking it again for the second time. Im sure that if you will fine your answer or you can also try to visit pancake swap official website to get all of links to the official tele group for various regions.

Most of these groups on Telegram are fake, especially the ones you have not joined but you have an account in the group, also these fake groups have a tag above, report spam and Leave it. By the way, the actual Pancake Swap group consists of about 79k people.

The number of follower is not the right basis to determine whether the telegram group is legit or not because it’s easy to increase the member of telegram channel by just adding bots on it through SMM with cheap price. It’s better to go on the official website and browse on there social media account to see there official telegram channel. It’s better than sorry just by doing shortcut just to find the group easily.

It was obvious a fake telegram group, I try to search on their official twitter account and never heard anything about this scam or what. But thanks to the OP for reaching in this community and giving us a warning.
