The government should stop interfering from the activities in the sports industry because the people are trying to make a living while putting their lives at stake, Bivol shouldn't be an exemption even if he's a Russian boxer. Unfortunately, I think Bivol will likely receive his paycheck from that fight when the war cools down because until now there's still some conflict going on in Eastern Ukraine. Maybe the US authorities wanted Bivol's purse paid in tranches. But I still believe that Bivol will get paid without deductions. And Eddie Hearn can help him with it. I'm also glad that this fight venue is in the United Arab Emirates. It will be neutral and Eddie Hearn actually has more influence in the Middle East than Zurdo and his promoter Oscar Dela Hoya. I'm not sure if Hearns and Dela Hoya are already on good terms after the Canelo drama earlier but in the fight conference I only saw Golden Boy Promotions president Eric Gomez who represented Zurdo while Hearn was there for Bivol.

He should get it without any deductions, not sure if still part of the law in regard to their punishment with Russia

Nevertheless, Ramirez might be a step up to the boxers that Bivol fought, however, we have seen him fight Canelo and defeated him easily. That really the advantage that I'm seeing before, Bivol doesn't need to do anything aside from being well-prepared facing his challenger while in the other side, Canelo needs to add weight and be familiar with it, both needs focus to maintain and to move accordingly which will need some time before he really can achieve it. Bivol didn't waste his time taking that advantage and keeps doing what he knows that he's capable, surprising Anleo with his natural speed and those counter punches that really shake Canelo.

I'm not sure about that rumor, but like you, I can see that Canelo's camp needs to think twice before challenging Makabu. If, in case that Bivol again survives this upcoming fight, Canelo might consider the rematch against him instead of chasing Makabu.

And it is also dangerous for Bivol to pursue a unification fight with Beterbiev because he is probably the underdog despite the 3-belt champ's age. And Canelo will never be interested to fight a beltless Bivol. But these fighters from the former Soviet Union are more glory hunters and money only comes second. Beterbiev and Bivol's team might want them to fight Canelo and Yarde respectively for money purposes but we heard these 2 champions during interviews on who they want. We can't say that yet until they both share a ring but you're also right, Beterbiev is indeed a difficult boxer to crack and there's a very high chance that if you'll get caught in his punches, that'll be the end of you and take note, Beterbiev won all his fights by a KO or TKO. Anyway, that is if Bivol can defeat Ramirez and I think it's too early for that kind of discussion.

Currently, only Bivol, Ramirez and Beterbiev managed to keep their records undefeated in the light-heavyweight division. But there's this English boxer named Callum Smith who's standing next in rank of the three aforementioned boxers and he's much more taller than Ramirez. He is also a former WBA champion in super-middle but he was defeated by Canelo Alvarez and climbed the next division right after that fight.

There is an issue for Bivol, if he decides for a rematch against Canelo. Canelo would insist that the match needs to take place within the United States. And if that happens, it will be near impossible for Bivol to receive any payments or share from the PPV buys (since he is a Russian citizen). Therefore I am not sure how excited will be Bivol for a fight against Canelo. Artur Beterbiev on the other hand is a Canadian citizen, and may agree for a fight in Saudi Arabia or some of the other neutral countries. The same with Gilberto Ramírez as well.

As you said, Bivol is not prioritizing Canelo and he won't be if he will come out successful in his fight against Zurdo Ramirez as a fight against Canelo is just a pure money fight with no glory to make. He already proved his talent against the undisputed boxer and upsets Canelo, that said, a rematch from Canelo's camp is the least of things he thinks of.

Canelo have two choices if Bivol turns out to be the winner in his upcoming fight, first is that he has to wait because chances are high that Bivol will pursue Beterbiev first and second is to forget having a rematch because there's also a high chance that he will have the same result.
