Start of New Meta: Sleep to Earn

Year 2022 will be written in history books as a start of new Meta — Sleep to Earn and WeSleep aims to be a pioneer of such approach. In order to achieve our goals we are not only building a Web3 app with inbuilt Game-Fi elements which awards users for their sleep time, instead we are building a worldwide brand by positioning ourselves as an app-assistant for users to look after their sleep quality as well as build a healthier and more active lifestyle.

Sweet Rewards

At its core WeSleep app will allow users to monetise their sleep time by rewarding them with $ZZZ tokens. However, in order to be eligible for rewards users will need to hold at least one Sleepie, which has a specific set of attributes such as drowsiness, fatigue, luck or devotion.

In addition, WeSleep is aiming to provide a tool for its users which would not only enable them to monetise their sleep time, but at the same time would encourage them to build a healthier, more active lifestyle. In order to achieve such goal, users will be getting Daily Tasks to complete on a daily basis, which would then generate their rewards in Moons.

Daily task examples:
- Walk at least 3 000 steps;
- Run 1 mile;
- Go for a 45 minutes walk;
- Have a swim;
- Have a gym session;
- Burn at least 1 200 calories;
- Etc.

Every time a daily task is completed, a specific amount of Moons are credited to the Profile, which then are to be used to level up the Profile itself.

Months ago with the heightened popularity of the Play-To-Earn concept when Axie Infinity was then flying everywhere, I predicted that soon there can be a project that can be rewarding us when we sleep. I guess my prediction has really come. Now, I am giving this kind of concept a chance since I am always a big fan of anything for a healthy lifestyle. I am wishing WeSleep a big success though am not anymore an admirer of this type of rewards programs since success here will not really that last.

Agree with Fortunescrypto, that such tokenomics models mostly are not self-sustainable, this is why WeSleep is focusing not only on rewards for users Sleep time, but as well as Web2 business approach: e-commerce, partners area, where selected businesses can promote their offers for: wearables, gym memberships, diet plans, etc. Overall - everything that contributes to the healthier lifestyle. Such approach allows to build a self-sustainable business model without fully counting on token success. However, if tokenomics put right, including sinks and balancing, model might be self-sustainable as well.
Having said that, e-commerce/partners side of the business together with a well balanced in-app economics will allow WeSleep to support its utility token and keep the value in a long term.

If you think about it is not that weird, after all in this market that is supposed to be decentralized we have a lot of centralized coins belonging to exchanges and stable coins as well, we have meme coins that openly say they have no use case at all and still encourage people to invest in them, then play to earn tokens appeared with a model that was not sustainable, and now we have metaverse coins that will not reach their goals as even the biggest companies around the world are still trying to figure out how to develop a working metaverse, so it was just a matter of time until a coin like this appeared.

I really like the idea of this, my first advice is that you need to make a proper announcement thread that fully explain your project in the Announcement Section (if you haven't). My second advice is that I wish your project will be fully transparent about how you use the collected data. I understand that you might need to keep how you process it, but at least you should explain where the data goes, and how you make money out of it.

If you actually read the OP post, the requirements is not only sleep. The participant should also perform a significant amount of activity. Also, maybe you are not familiar but outside of the blockchain industry, there are actually some people that are being paid to sleep after doing certain activity. Similar to this project, those people paid to sleep and then their physical data is collected to conduct some research. What I am trying to say is that the idea of collecting data from people sleeping is not new, but then combine it with the blockchain is something that I haven't heard, and it's definitely not only for lazy people.

Aside from the fact that you are giving your personal data to their non-respecting privacy apps, the most practical way to earn a living is work to earn

I just realized something in crypto: once something trends, then believe that a lot of knock-offs would join the bandwagon and milk the trend til its useless. Take this Play2Earn stuff. It went to Walk2Earn and now Sleep2Earn. And the end point is always hazy. Most of them don't end well except the original projects that introduce the idea

I noticed this new business model back at the beginning of summer, when projects like DreamN, SleeFi, etc. were introduced. And this is apparently another clone. The only bad thing about this model is the lack of earnings, which is exactly half of the model. The problem with these tokens is that they are almost nowhere represented and have very little trading liquidity. So it is possible to earn tokens, but selling them and converting them into a valuable currency is still a big problem.

There are sure lots of "innovative" ideas being integrated into crypto today.  But the problem is the economic structure on how it will survive in the harsh environment of cryptocurrency.  I hope I can see a project that has good monetary planning if they intend to reward their users or use the word "to earn" in their project.

That's true.
They're all for the hype and start but when they become crowded, they don't know what to do or if they do know. It's only about them, the devs and how they can muster that capitalized moment of them.
That's why many of these projects do get the attention at the beginning but fails to maintain as what they've promised to their investors.

This is nothing new, these are studies from real scientists.

You are believing that projects like this, they will collect physical data to conduct research or is it just marketing hype? The ultimate goal of these projects is profit nothing more, there will be no research, no technology here. They are also just looking to issue tokens and sell them for profit. And I also believe that if you participate in this project, your purpose is also to make a profit, not participate for the purpose of contributing to building the project.

Majority of these coins are a big failure in the market. So what's unique to this coin which can have a future? What's the USP of this coin? In a nutshell, why people will use it?

Well, you're sleeping, what's going on, what's the use? Such meaningless tokens are constantly being printed. Earn is so common and marketed in a way that people jump on these tokens to make a profit, but in the end, it's the investor who gets upset. They want users to be connected to a system that has no other benefit, as long as you think only for profit in this market, you will hardly make a profit. It is necessary to establish good logic in projects, in my opinion, these tokens are also unreasonable.

It seems some people are so disconnected from reality that they have forgotten the old road-map to wealth, which was work hard, save, invest and finally become wealthy, now people want to do nothing and yet to become wealthy, and no matter how attractive something like this may sound, it is never going to happen and as such people need to stay away from any project that promises them to earn money while doing nothing in the process.
