Wrong timing, I doubt anyone will want this graphic cards right now, not miners and not the gamers themselves, RTX 3060 and other 3*** cards are flooding the market and in the next few months its going to get more serious, gamers will be able to lay hands on these cards for a cheaper price than buying the new RTX 4*** cards.
The Nvidia RTX 4080 price varies depending on the model that you buy, with pricing for the RTX 4080 12GB starting at $899 USD / £949 GBP while the RTX 4080 16GB will set you back $1,199 USD / £1,269 GBP.
https://www.pcgamesn.com/nvidia/rtx-4080-release-date-price-spec-and-benchmarks
For $900, gamers will probably buy a new modern video card with the latest technology, instead of the used RTX 3090 for $600-700.

The only choice I see here is the 4090, all the other gpus are last generation performance, not worth, like I said before at 1499 usd I would buy and it seems I almost got the price right, 1599 usd price is strange, I was sure would be 1499 usd.

Price should be close to this, i mean the value of the gpu is directly proportional to the money it can produce(mining). ~3k usd from op is the price if ETH is still mineable.

Fun is over hehe

I'm going to buy for gaming and deep learning, pretty sure this gpu will not make even 30 cent of a dollar per day, so 1599 / 0.30 = 5333 days or 15 years to roi if mining hehe, probably even more if things stay like this. This mining apocalypse is good, this will make idiots to think many times before doing stupid decisions. Anyway bear market is coming in few months and things will get much worse, Q1 2023 will be very bad, light in the end of the tunnel only in Q1 2024.

I'm ready to read your feedback about mining on this video card, but I think that a farm of these video cards will burn down the house.Analysts say that the bear market has been going on for 10 months.

Mining? Not going to mine, whoever buys a 4090 is not going to use for mining, they are not stupid, I mean pay 2k usd to earn 30 cents of a dollar per day.

Pre-bear market started when bitcoin crashed below 29k which was on June 11th 2022, so we have only been 3 months in this pre-bear market, is going to change to bear market around november 2002-january 2023 and then last at least one year more, reason I said around august 2023 to get a little better, and around Q1 2024 to get better, august-december 2024 I see a pre-bullmarket happening, next bull market only in 2025-2026.

Most of these 4080/4090 cards are also take 4 slots. Doubt casual miners/gamers will use those 2 of those in their pc cases are they can accomendate just 1 with those beasts.

Yeah I am surprised they take 4 slots. Back in 2015 I had a Radeon 7970 which took 3 slots and I assumed that was crazy.

For mining it wasn't bad since it was all on an open air rig, it was better because it ran cooler since it had a massive heatsink. I take it is possible to have a few of these in close proximity...

however none will be used for mining and I doubt gamers will buy more than 1 anyways. No benefit.

Wait for normal video reviews about these video cards. It will not be possible to install such video cards in old cases, but if a gamer buys a video card for 2000 dollars, then he is sure that he will find money for a new case. The Radeon 7990s were just as voracious and hot, and were used by some miners.

The rtx 6090 video card will not be installed in the system unit, but will be sold in a separate case Smiley
Now the most expensive graphics cards usually have the longest payback.RTX 4090 video cards will not see mining now, but perhaps later they will be actively bought by miners.

Nvidia’s RTX 4090 can achieve over 500 frames per second (fps) in Overwatch 2 at 1440p resolution, a ridiculously fluid level of gameplay – with a notable caveat we’ll come back to later on the monitor front – Team Green itself has told us.

To be precise, Nvidia’s own benchmarking(opens in new tab) shows the shooter (which was released just yesterday) running at 507 fps on average with the RTX 4090, and this was at 1440p with max graphics settings (the test rig paired the GPU with an Intel Core i9-12900K CPU, by the way).

As for the RTX 4080 16GB, that achieved 368 fps, and the lesser RTX 4080 with 12GB (cough, RTX 4070, ahem) still managed 296 fps.

1440p is just a refined 1080p gaming, 2k gaming is just a bit higher 1440p gaming.

Over 100 fps 4k gaming is still not a standard in the 3090ti.

Gaming monitors with 125hz and above + over 100 fps gaming, that's what is needed for the 4xxx series

Playing with 1440 is just a hype with numbers to bamboozle buyers.

Metroid was right with 4090, 3090ti is just a good enough passer but not that good at 4k.

You only need to buy 4xxx series if you are going to utilize 4k, it is better to buy high end 3xxx series than buying mid range and low end 4xxx series if you are not going to utilize 4k

NVIDIA RTX 4090 tested in 3DMark
https://videocardz.com/newz/nvidia-geforce-rtx-4090-3dmark-scores-leaked-at-least-82-faster-than-rtx-3090
Synthetic tests are just part of the story. Gaming results will show how powerful RTX 4090 really is at different resolutions and different quality settings. First reviews of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 GPUs will live on October 11th.

I think it's best to compare prices before buying. If you choose between 3090ti and 4090, then it is better to buy a more modern video card, if the overpayment is not large.

What do you mean they take 4 slots?  I get that it's a beast but I don't understand where you're getting 4 slots from.  Are you meaning that it is so large it would cover other slots so they couldn't be used for more GPUs?

If the leaked benchmarks are accurate then this thing could be a beast of a miner.  A shame the market is already in the dumpster.  By the time things come back, it might be time for for 5xxx series of cards.  A bit of a risk buying one of these instead of BTC, but if you're spending USD and you will use it for other things also, it could be worth it.  I'm not sure if I'll be buying yet or not.

You don't know what you're talking about. For simplicity's sake, let's assume a 16:9 aspect ratio. 1440p is 2560 x 1440 or 3.6864 megapixels. 1080p is 1920 x 1080 or 2.0736 megapixels. 1440p is almost twice the resolution of 1080p. 2K *is* 1080p, 2048 x 1080 specifically, so, no, 2K is not "just a bit higher" than 1440p. It's basically *half* the resolution of 1440p.

The rest of your post is also nonsense.

Please refrain from spreading bullshit.

Yeah, i was wrong with 2k, didn't do gaming for quite a while LOL

But performance wise the rest of the post is correct. You only found one error and you cancel the rest LOL

If you are not gaming in 4k cheap 2nd hand 3080ti/3090/3090ti is better than mid range to low range 4xxx series, that's the point.

Counting pixels is one thing but having 1xxx, 2xxx, 3xxx and knowing the hardware involve is another  Wink

The game i want to point out is cyberpunk 2077, not some low quality graphics game BTW, cutting edge gaming in comparison to cutting edge GPU.

There is a lot of humor about the RTX 4090 video card due to its size. The 4th quarter of 2022 will be very busy with new releases from Nvidia, AMD and INTEL, but miners do not need these video cards. And the developers have not optimized their software for new drivers.

According to a video posted by the popular YouTube channel Moore's Law Is Dead, NVIDIA's rumored RTX 4090 Ti was likely to have been released as the RTX Titan Ada. However, its development was recently shelved for multiple reasons, including its voracious power requirements. The channel cites a reliable source claiming that the card has a massive TDP of 600-700W and comes with twin 16-pin power connectors. In addition, the card, which would also have the full AD102 chip rather than the reduced version found on the RTX 4090, is said to take up four slots on the motherboard. It's so large that the folks at NVIDIA would reportedly mount the motherboard on the card rather than doing it the other way around.
