Just wanted everyone's thoughts on how easy it is to get bitcoin now, and what getting bitcoin might be like in the future? For example, I can simply go on cashapp and buy btc, send to a wallet I own the keys to. I can also use localbitcoins, paxful, I mean the list is kinda endless. Will that list become...not so endless in the future as the value gets higher?

Yeah, I say take advantage of the current situation to purchase bitcoin and while the price is still very cheap and there are a lot of apps that will make it simplify to buy.

And as the supply dwindle in the future, maybe it's going to be difficult even if these apps still exists. The demand might too to high for everyone and it's going to be cut-throat competition.

I don't see any reason it will become harder to buy Bitcoin especially when Bitcoin price is really high, I'd think it will be more easier to buy Bitcoin because everyone want to buy Bitcoin and they will prefer to an exchanges with smooth or few steps only rather than the complicated one.

I think it will harder to buy Bitcoin when the government strengthen their rules, especially when they completely ban Bitcoin. So your choice is only to buy Bitcoin via DEX and using mixer to increase your privacy.

It's really going to depend on how regulations will end up being. If the authorities of whatever country decided to ban bitcoin, then it would obviously be harder to buy it. On the other hand, if whatever country's government decided to adopt bitcoin or maybe just stay lax about it, then expect more and more platforms to support buying and selling of bitcoin.

You should have been a little more specific about the future, because if you think about the next 5-10 years, I don't believe that buying Bitcoin will be a problem in the sense that you won't be able to do it through various CEX, DEX, crypto ATMs, physical exchanges... On the other hand, the availability of Bitcoin on all these platforms (liquidity) is obviously much higher than the demand, and only a little less than 2 million BTC that have yet to be mined tell us that we will not soon have a situation where someone wants to buy Bitcoin, and that someone say "sorry, we don't have it in stock".

In the end, it all comes down to whether you have enough money, because there will always be someone ready to sell.

I think the opposite, Bitcoin in the future is super easy to buy anywhere, even though the price is high and expensive, two years ago my country only had 2-3 crypto exchanges, but now there are more than eight officially operating Bitcoin exchanges registered with government authorities.

That's not to mention I'm talking exchanges in every country and international, maybe thousands, plus more wallets circulating in the play store and not to mention such companies as: Etsy, PayPal, Overstock, Starbucks, Twicth, Microsoft and there are hundreds of others, where you can buy Bitcoin.

I think in the future it will be easier and more professional and affordable if you want to buy Bitcoin, maybe in all sectors you can find Bitcoin to buy.

The list of places to buy bitcoins will increase in the future because of the acceptance factor from many parties, making it easy for us to buy bitcoins from anywhere. And if it's an app, all you have to do is deposit funds into the app and you can start buying bitcoins.

Now many applications are integrated into mobile phones, so we will have no trouble depositing buying bitcoin. This proves local apps also care about crypto developments and want to be a part of bitcoin history. And hopefully, the government will also support this so that many parties can accept bitcoin.

People are buying through the means you mentioned from the past 7-8 years. For them we are now living the future, and see nothing changed. So no matter what the price of Bitcoins or how many years pass, the methods we are using to buy the Bitcoins will be same only. Yup some more facilities might be added, but the OGs will always stay.
At first I thought you were worried about the price, but you just curious about the method through which you gonna buy. Nevertheless don’t think too much about the future. Enjoy the present.

I think he means legally way not by supply and demand that involves price. I think he is inquiring if the government will make crypto hard to access by the public because right now everyone can purchased it using there mobile phone alone since there’s a lot of app offering it.

I don’t see any problem in the future because some country government are making law in favor for crypto being legal. They need this is imposed proper tax on it so that there citizen will legally pay there tax when they use crypto. Making crypto inaccessible to the public will very hard for government to do because it’s available on the internet.

there are just 2 ways and will matter on how SEC will handle BTC. so far Gensler think BTC is not a security which is a positive news, often times your country's SEC will also make peace with what US SEC says. when this happen the  all systems are up again and partty resumes.

In the future it will be easier for everyone to buy Bitcoin as the development and level of people's awareness of the benefits contained in Bitcoin.

As long as you have enough money, the exchanges will guide you the easy way and they will have plenty of stock, don't worry.
Or your worries about buying freely (without silly centralized rules)? So Idk. Centralized services are now increasingly dominating people's bitcoin ownership control. If you have bitcoin under your control, it may be a bit more expensive on the free market than on the exchange.

Why so? Miners would simply just move to another country to be able to continue business operations. Pretty similar to what happened with the China mining ban.

It might be harder to buy bitcoin if any government regulations limit bitcoin trading and exchanges. Meanwhile, since Bitcoin has been around for some time, people will become quite used to the system, and new customers will find it easier to buy it. Ultimately, as someone already said, there will always be someone ready to sell, so it is all a matter of whether you have enough money to buy it. Bitcoin knows no borders, and the world is a pretty big place.

So I actually think that bitcoins will be much harder to buy later down the road. Maybe via distribution like government agencies and private companies opting to start paying their staff in bitcoins, some people will be able to get some bitcoins, but if it is just the option to must buy from someone, it can be discouraging.

I guess it all depends. If there will be bitcoin global adoption in the future, then even if the price gets higher, there will always be legit exchanges that will support it and make it easier for us to purchase every now and then. However, when the opposite thing happens, like when the government starts to be strict on bitcoin and there will be banning in most of the countries, probably it will also be hard on our part to look for legit exchanges that will continue to support bitcoin.

It's actually easy when there is no restrictions on crypto in your country. And in the future, it's still easy. However, what might makes it difficult is when Bitcoin price is much higher than what you see today.
Just like how these people who always doubt and hesitated on purchasing Bitcoins as they always think it is too expensive for the current price.
Literally it is actually easy, but mentally it is challenging on how you feed your risk appetite.

If recognition is getting even more higher on the future which does simply means that you could really be having more options on where to buy since its been recognized or adopted
then expect that lots of platforms or services whom really do offer on having that kind of option to buy bitcoin on a breeze.Therefore, its totally opposite on what you are saying
so there's no point on making yourself stress out on believing into these particular things.So instead of thinking on getting more harder then it would be more realistic
if we do talk about it would become even more easier because of adoption rate.

It depends from country to country. Some governments, or even just local banks, like to put obstacles for Bitcoin users. Others ignore it. China and Western countries have much harsher financial monitoring than the rest of the world.

But I agree that the tendency is moving towards more restrictions, regulators are catching up to the new methods of sending money.

If we're bullish on BTC then we should not be anticipating a constriction of availability.   Currencies when acknowledged are not taxed or locked down by securities laws that vary between countries, capital gains taxes, etc.    So if BTC is to be accepted we should be talking about more freedom not less, its highly fungible, not consumed or altered day to day so I dont think BTC currently has the right place in society most places.    I hope we see a more liquid BTC market and lower fees to exchange, if this happens price is very likely higher imo and population interest greater vs supply.
