Hello everybody,

Electrum shows less balance than blockchain from the same wallet

Does anyone know how this can be?

Are you sure both wallets are generated from the same seed phrase?
Are you sure that your blockchain.com wallet does not also include any separate imported addresses which are not covered by the seed phrase?
Are the funds spread across many addresses? It is possible that there are some addresses beyond Electrum's gap limit.

Go to the "Addresses" tab in Electrum and the "Wallets and Addresses" page in Blockchain.com's options and see if all your addresses and values on each address match up.

You probably have another balance on different wallet address that belongs to the same seed phrase on your Electrum wallet. You can check all the address balance included in your seed phrase under the list of address in your electrum wallet. There’s might be a chance that you use different address to receive Bitcoin before you use your current wallet address to received the current balance.

I think it's likely both wallets use different derivation paths for change addresses and this could be the problem.

An easy way to work this out would be to click on your last outgoing (send) transaction on your blockchain funds and find the address the change was paid to (the additional amount from the spend inputs that wasn't sent to the receiving address) then go to electrum's console and type ismine("address") and see if that returns true or false.

I saw something weird from the image posted by the OP look at this image again

As you can see I marked it in a circle it seems that OP edited the current page of his wallet and edit the code of the current wallet balance.

If I'm right I'm sure the right balance is in the Electrum wallet If I'm wrong then the only thing that is possible is that the change address might be not the same as the Electrum increasing the gap limit might show your other addresses that have balance.

That's weird but it may just be a bug in blockchain.com wallet or simply the site not loading properly which in turn it shows the underlying code instead of the result (the code is just fetching the balance). It is also possible that the problem is because of the difference in underlying code in different languages (the code doesn't exist in English view but is in Russian):

Electrum shows less balance than blockchain from the same wallet
Use "Detect Existing Account" instead of selecting a script type when importing the seed phrase (12-words) to Electrum.
If it shows two or more results, you'll have to restore each as separate wallets to restore all of your blockchain(dot)com bitcoins.
(repeat the process for the next wallet)

That's because Electrum only supports one derivation path per wallet (but includes the change path).

Also, bitcoins in your "Trading Account" isn't covered by your backup phrase.
You can't restore it to Electrum.

I think it's likely both wallets use different derivation paths for change addresses and this could be the problem.
For all the faults of blockchain.com (and there are many!), they do at least use standard BIP44/84 derivation paths for their legacy and segwit addresses, so this won't be the issue. Blockchain.com does allow using both legacy and segwit at once though, which obviously Electrum does not, so it could be this issue as nc50lc has pointed out above.
