Hi there,
I'm hoping someone here can help me as I've obviously made a mistake.

The HDD where I keep my wallet was almost full, so I decided to remove the old HDD, install a new larger HDD and go from there.  After starting Bitcoin Core, pointing it at the new HDD and waiting a few days for it to sync, it now appears that my balance has gone to 0.00000 btc.

Where did I go wrong?  I should have .40btc.

I'd be really grateful if someone could point out where I made my mistake.

Bitcoin Core version v0.15.1 (64-bit)

Windows 10 Pro

AMD Ryzen 7 3700X

Wallet is empty

The reply to this post seems to have vanished, I just wanted to say thanks a lot, that sorted me right out and lowered my stress levels considerably.

I deleted it because I thought I was mistaken since I didn't notice the screenshot at first, where it looks like you fully synced your wallet already. I'm just not sure whether you moved your wallet.dat to the new HDD or not. Was that the problem?

So is the problem fixed now?

Do you have more backups of your wallet too as well as having it on the other hard drive?.

It looked like you didn't copy the file across or didn't try loading it into the new core install (if it's not in the default data directory or doesn't find it). I think it resyncs when you put a new wallet in too (faster than the initial sync but still might take a bit of time to load up).

It depends on whether the full blockchain has been stored on the hard drive or not.
If the blockchain has been downloaded in prune mode, you have to download the blockchain again.

It looks like your wallet.dat is still on your old disk. Just in case: you should have made a few backups (for instance on different USB sticks) already. If you didn't do that, you should do it before doing anything else.
Then, just copy your old wallet.dat.

You may want to upgrade your Bitcoin Core version (see News link above this page). Your version is many years behind.

If the blockchain has been downloaded in prune mode, you have to download the blockchain again.
If it was pruned, he wouldn't have needed a larger hard drive.

Yes, the problem is fixed.
I'll update BTC core and do a back up as per advice.
Once again, thank you gentlemen.
