PNNV.com - Major update - need your review!

Hey all!

So I'm the founder of PNNV.com - you can read all about it in the original thread.

Since PREEV was a simple BTC converter, my idea is to create cool features that people could also use as an alternative for CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko.

So I have made a few significant updates.

- You can now search any token as long as it listed on CoinMarketCap or CoinGecko.
- You can see the price on the TAB.


As I'm running the project from my pocket and only spending and not making any money, I would need help from the community in bug searching and UI improvements.

Amazing additions, just wanted to ask if the price updates if you keep the window opened, because from what i can see it didn't for me.
Also, i know that the free CMC and CG API got some limitations and price updates every few minutes, would be great to keep the website as interactive as possible for simplicity.

• 1. I'm also using Tor, and the graphics in the newly added information box do make the site a bit slow to load.  I didn't inspect the elements, but maybe the file sizes can be reduced a bit?
• 2. To LoyceV's point, the "Max Supply" in the info box seems stuck at 21M no matter what coin you select.
• 3. Some additional fiat currencies would be nice; Mexican Peso and Jordanian Dinar, for starters?

because a few weeks ago i able to change it to my local currencies.
I even try to use the search bar but only 4 is shown

Okay, here it goes:
1. On Tor Browser, it takes about 15 seconds to show the Bitcoin price in dollars after loading the page. Would it be possible to cache this server-side, so I'm not looking at "0 USD" while wondering why it isn't working?
2. After changing to Obyte, it first shows the Bitcoin exchange rate for another 15 seconds, before updating it to the altcoin. Then, the Max Supply is stuck at Bitcoin's 21,000,000 instead of updating to Obyte's 1,000,000.

1) Please have a look, i've tried to fix it by server side however, i think i got some limition by the free coingecko API i might upgrade it.

It would be best to make this part interactive based on the selected coin

It went from 15 seconds to 1-2 seconds. It's better, but still a lot slower than preev.com (also on Tor browser).

2) Should be fixed please have a look!

The Max Supply now shows "-". That's better than 21 million, but it should show 1 million (for Obyte/gbyte). The Circulating Supply is correct already.
If I choose for instance Litecoin, the Max Supply is correct.

You have to use a 'search' box to find all coins or tokens and it works on my side including local currencies are still available
It's just that the conversion does not work for local currencies I mean still referring to the USD even though I have changed it to local currency.

entebah was correct the time he wrote the reply. There was a bug preventing to change currencies that I assume it was fixed.
Still satisfied with the site, the only remark that I have is the latency to load the site and the conversion. Not that annoying but it would be better to be reduced or at least stabilised.

Wow, that's pretty impressive statistics out there considering you have started very recently. I wouldn't be surprised if you got far higher visitors. You haven't started serious marketing, only avatar campaign here (if I'm not wrong). Carry on brother. Hopefully this will be the best alternative of preev.com. Hopefully someday we will see as per pnnv.com on currency exchange section.

I see. Thanks for the info. I thought you haven't done any marketing at all other than on forum marketing. It's good you are running google ads. Having constant marketing campaign would definitely great regardless of the budget. Do you have any monetization plan for the website?

You already established your project this early, I can say with finality that PNNV is the new Preev, just keep on marketing, people need a converter like this, we have proven it when Preev is still existing it's the number one go-to tool for converting, are you planning to add ads in the future or you will be like Preev, that is ads-free until the end, its good to promote project like this, hopefully, it will continue and it will be followed by the signature campaign after the avatar campaign.

Solid numbers for fresh website. Could you tell from where most of your traffic comes? Does people come from search results or maybe you're getting many visits from Bitcointalk.

Does it really disturbs you that much? Personally, I like that more detailed information is displayed there, especially % change in 24 hours.

just advice @agentF put google adsense and crypto ads network like coinzilla bitmedia and a-ads and please do not use pop up ads or other annoying user ads   good luck with your site

To OP: Please don't use ad networks. I'd very much like that you make good money, but I think in this case the best way to go with monetization is through text-based referral links or promotions. One of the main attractions of the likes of Preev/PNNV is the cleanliness/simplicity. Using image ads kinda defeats the purpose — imagine visiting Google.com and seeing image ads.

Why not you leave a donation address? Whoever wants to contribute they can just donate to help the project.
