If you can try it out and test if everything works fine.
KeePassXC is really great, and I think you can also use it with alternative like Yubikey.
I have already tested the fingerprint/biometric authentication feature in Trezor Suite on Windows and Linux, it works on Windows, but on Linux the feature is non-existent.
As I imagined, I updated to the new version with a biometric sensor on Windows. However, the fingerprint feature is missing on Linux (v25.9.3). On Linux, the feature should be available in the Privacy section under the Application tab. Going back to Windows, you'll see this option, but not on Linux.
I don't believe it will work on Linux. Even though also supports biometric authentication, it only works for login on the system.
In Linux, the biometric sensor is only works for user login to the operating system.
Regarding KeePassXC, you're absolutely right. It's my favorite password manager. I use both KeePass2 and KeePassXC. For beginners, KeePassXC is the better option. But both are excellent options. I use KeePassXC primarily on Linux.
In KeePass2 there is a
plugin where you can use the Trezor as a key file, adding an extra layer of security, similar to the YubiKey's Challenge-Response pattern.
Unfortunately, however, this feature only works with KeePass2, which is a shame, as I consider it a more secure alternative than YubiKey and KeePassXC doesn't allow plugin installation.
There must be some workaround for this, or someone should create it.
You're absolutely right, but it seems like there isn't much demand for it.
