My worst day in gambling

I understand that feeling wherein we just want to continue gambling regardless of the risks. It's already common to those people, especially those new to gambling or just recently experienced the feeling of being a big winner. Without the worst experience in gambling, we will never learn.

Especially for the newbies.

I was once there when I was new to gambling and really had that emotion that there's a need for me to keep winning for more.

Despite winning for the majority of the bets in a local game that I've bet for, still, I went for more and didn't secured my bankroll and a few from my winnings.

It may not be the worst but that's what a typical gambler day is.

When you are already on a situation which you would really be chasing up winnings and breaking even your losses then you would really be ending up on that desperation.
Anything which is on excess would really be definitely not a good thing specially when you do touch up gambling.You would really be ending up on having the worst situation.
Its either you would lose money in huge scale or would able to stop midway completely and able to realize on whats happening.Worst day would be always
happening because in gambling, losing is very that common.

The time when you are winning you sometimes forget that you won't be losing anymore because of the huge wins in the beginning.
In the offline casino, the dealer is just not amused when you stop betting after a huge win. And when you continue, where you won't notice they are gone after just a few lost bets.

It was a wrong move to have used your school fees to gamble, I advise you never to use funds that are meant for serious life bills to gamble with and only gamble with the amount you can afford to lose, greed has dealt a heavy blow on you there and I hope you have learned from your experience and next time you will never try that kind of risk again and I hope you can make up for your courses that you were absent in the exams because of failure to meet up with tuition fees payment.

Most people may have similar experiences to yours but their outcomes. may be different their those who get lucky to have risked such money and come out as winners winning a lot of extra cases that cover up their school fees and moving to other issues.

But in all don't gamble with your life savings you may not get lucky to survive it.

I have heard of the school fees account being used before, the story I heard was on nights out and fancy clothes.  It was all used up beforehand, needing the person to start a job to save for uni instead.   Gambling is a past time first of all, never assume the winnings thats just the bonus part of it.

Worst day for me would be influenced by rushing a bet not considering all the factors or misinterpreting and messing up another game I meant to bet on at the same time.  Losing a bet is one thing but not when you get the details mixed and it wasn't hedged properly like you intended, generally learning from that would be not to rush bets if possible.   Its always tempting to place a bet at the last moment especially in sports betting so those are usually the mistakes I try to avoid.

Your story reminded me of a student confession months ago about how he lost his money for tuition fee. It's not because of gambling on a casino or any betting platform but because he placed it on a shitcoin hehehe....it's not much of a difference for most "investors" anyway.

I've had my losses to in my early gambling days where I bet more than I should have but there's no need to tell it in detail. 99% of us who gambled for a long time probably suffered a huge loss already.

Just charged it to your experience OP and next time, don't ever stake the money that was originally meant for other important things. You are creating a problem over a problem. Hope you learn your lesson.

it may not be school fees but one way or another, we also experienced the same scenario. continuously playing thinking that we will recover our losses. but in the end, we lost it all. it is not new when it comes to gambling. even long timers are guilty of it. i guess, we need to learn our own lessons here before we truly accept the fact that we are in gambling, and the chance of going home as winner is not always there.

If there's such a thing I guess it would be the time when I won a great amount but can't claim it because the casino had already gone under. I forgot the casino name, but this was a few years back playing roulette. Managed to win 0.50 btc when price was @ $1800 or something. I was happy back then but can't withdraw because I'm not using my own device and I don't have any copy of my btc address anywhere. Had to go home and perform withdrawal, but once I got home, casino is no longer searchable online and they just performed an exit scam. I'm fine with losing my money, but hoping that you'll get something only to get shut down is on another league.

My worst day in gambling when I won but I came back to play again, the reality was that the results not expected and I lose all. In fact the money I used was planned to buy life necessities, to survive when I was unemployed. Ironically my money ran out and I survived only drink water and some gift from my circle, until I found a job again. Really unforgettable for a lifetime even maybe to old age.

The worst day is part of the experience of being a gambler. That worst experience will be our foundation to become a good gambler in the future unless not learning the lesson from every worst experience. I can't remember my worst experience with gambling but that's not important to me.

What matters to me is to maintain my good experience as much as possible. That should be the goal every after a big loss.

Well as the gambling ads getting wild in post-covid era and now it's really hard to control over it, kids under age become a victim as they are easily get influenced. These kind cases often occurred and pretty unfortunate to see ? The only way is by taking the internet access out of them.

the feeling is too familiar. I posted days ago about my experience in the past on how I won and went home/logged out but had a feeling of being lucky that day. anyway, as all of us know and experienced, in the end, I ended up losing my winnings and my initial funds from trying to win back what I lost. it was a hearth breaking day full of regrets but as time passes it has become a great learning point on what and what not to do.

    Two weeks later it was announced in school that we only had one more week left for closure of school fees payment, I tried borrowing, seek for help everywhere but nobody could help me with the money.  This was how I couldn't pay my fee for that semester and went home with carry overs after the end of the semester as I was not allowed to write some exams.

Everybody has their worst day in gambling and their best day in gambling. Don't let it get you down.

Obviously you do not forget losing a lot of money and it feels bad for a few days/weeks. But at some point you don't think about it and just go on gambling away as you did before. Sure you might win big or lose big again but that's only when you bet big. Whenever I lost money (and I lost my money stupidly and often), I made really big bets before learning to calm down with the big bets.

Find a strategy which will minimise your losses and hold to it.

My worst day in gambling was way back during my newbie days when my big profit turned into losing and didn't have a chance to enjoy it. The capital I used here is just a small amount to consider and things become lucky for me when I hit big multipliers in a slot game.

But instead of taking that big profits, I didn't withdraw it thinking that was my day. Why should I stop if I'm lucky?

Poker tourny over 650+ people and got down head to head.  Had the other person covered in terms of chips.  I had pocket queens and slow rolled the pre flop the other person went all in pre flop I called.  They showed 5/6.  Flop came 5,6, face card.  Flop-river came out dead cards.  Next hand got another bad beat to lose and come in 2nd.  Didn't play poker for awhile after that.

I hope you learned the lesson and so is people reading about your story, gambling is no joke, even mature grown-ups can't control it, so of course a teenager can make even crazier things, for me it wasn't just a bad day in gambling, it was a whole run of more than 2 years, all I can say is I'm not proud of my run in gambling, I didn't lose a lot but gambling is never something to be proud of even if you win.

It's pretty obvious that our worst gambling day would have a affected us somewhat in our life. From having severe relationship with someone or maybe not putting food in the table.

For me I can't count what's my worst gambling day that resulted in something like this. But I know that it had dire consequences for me, like not going to work because you can't sleep because you lose some big money and you can to think and cover it because it could be disastrous in my end.

Your experience is not new to us we all have this kind of experience when we are starting out, there is such a thing as beginner's luck and you experienced it but unfortunately, you don't know how to stop or lose control of yourself because of this beginner's luck just hit you, and when you lose you your winnings and your investment you feel sorry and you need to win those back, its called chasing your losses and it's not good because it will further drain you

This is a big lesson for you to only gamble with money that you can afford to lose, problem will beset you if you are an irresponsible gambler who gamble when he has money in his pocket, check your priority first, gambling is for entertainment only

We all do mine was spending all the money that is for paying our rent, I have to literally beg for our landlord to give me an extension, I fixed it and promised not to play with money that is not allocated for gambling.

he was just a teen that time. surely we have done certain things like this in the past some are worse.
its easy for parents to forgive a teen to have done such mistake because after all he is just a teen. but his parents must have impose disciplinary action so it won't happen again.

when i was a teen i learn the consequences too as i walked home more than 2 miles because i lost all my money in a card game.
