I was searching on Bing then I noticed something unusual

Some seemingly misleading information on the right side of the page, showing as though it was from the Bitcointalk Wikipedia page

Quote
100% of the funds sent to this campaign go to the BitcoinTalk forum. The BitHope Foundation has no control over the received funds or on how they are spent.
Quote
The BitcoinTalk forum lost a third of its referrals from the bitcoin community in February, according to available traffic data from website analytics firm SimilarWeb.
Quote
Despite of publishing defamation campaigns against innocent people, Bitcointalk.org is the largest forum for advertising illegal activities.

the quotes are linked to bithope.org, zoominfo.com, game-protect.com respectively.

Someone butthurt trying to spread misleading information to unknowing visitors?

How do we work around to remove that misleading information?

I can't find this kind of info in the wikipedia page, can you provide the link? Although this isn't new, lots of misinformation provided in wikipedia site since then.

Despite of publishing defamation campaigns against innocent people, Bitcointalk.org is the largest forum for advertising illegal activities.
On the other hand (on the legal side), this is somewhat true on a kind of campaign such bitcoin/crypto mixers.

About the the data from game-protect (it sounds familiar) where almost every casino advertised here are all scammed by the way he talks and claimed.

The information is not actually one the Wikipedia page but if you search "bitcointalk" on Bing, the image will show up on the right side. More like a thumbnail and then a link to the Wikipedia page.

You can search it on Bing and you see what I am talking about.

If that's the case, forum user game-protect is that someone. He is a troll and a scammer too. You can find more information on his profile. Also, his posts are indicator that he is writing this misinformation.
Check this too- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5227426.msg53952064#msg53952064
But I'm wondering which campaign he is referring here. Can you please share the link? I can't see which bitcointalk topic is in there in the screenshot.

Someone butthurt trying to spread misleading information to unknowing visitors?

I tried what you did. there is indeed misinformation there. one of them refers to a forum user called @Little Mouse (game-protect). the user has been banned from the forum after trolls and scammers. it seems the article published by game-protect.com was also made after he was banned from the forum. he wants to spread misguided hatred among people who don't know this.

actually, this finding has also been published by @TwitchySeal

But I'm wondering which campaign he is referring here. Can you please share the link? I can't see which bitcointalk topic is in there in the screenshot.
I'm not so sure about this either. but maybe this is what you are looking for.

Oh, game-protect, we haven't heard anything from him for a while. From what I remember, he got banned and seems that he is still butthurt.
I tried to search Bitcointalk on Bing and I don't see such message, maybe it's only displayed on desktop, not mobile. It's good that nobody uses Bing, so, not many will see this false information.
I'm not familiar with Bing and their policy, so I'm not sure is it any way to remove misleading information from their search.

How do we work around to remove that misleading information?

Below the text, there are thumbs up/thumbs down icons. We can click Dislike, select problematic information, and send feedback to Bing.
I'm not sure if this helps, but I don't think it could hurt. If enough people send negative feedback, Bing may decide to change its algorithm.

I just used my desktop and it's really showing. Seems like a new feature of bing, it's like how google's search result features[1] that shows company about, socmed info, etc. when searching the name of the site or company.
But the thing is it kinda sort of wonky feature of bing. These websites, game-protect, bithope, zoominfo doesn't shows in the top result when searching "bitcointalk" keyword but it become the featured text there.
Unlike in google it searching "bitcointalk" keyword it shows the text from the top 2 result which came from meetbunch.

On the other hand, there is a dislike button which can be used to report to remove the text/info from game-protect for misinformation.

the quotes are linked to bithope.org, zoominfo.com, game-protect.com respectively.
Member game-protect got banned in forum few years ago, and he was known for spreading many false information.
I don't know if he continued using some other any alt account in forum but his website is still active and he continued to earn money with ''protection''.
This Bithope campaigns looks nothing more than a bitcoin donation address from bitcointalk forum, but I wouldn't blindly trust anything I read on Bing or internet.

UPDATE

So, the good news is that the other misleading information no longer appears on the side thumbnail. Probably Bing changed the information or someone actually helped edit it. When I made a report, there was no option to edit

Someone butthurt trying to spread misleading information to unknowing visitors?

How do we work around to remove that misleading information?
This topic reminds me of the charity site BitHope.org, someone created a 2015 topic on this forum.

He said the following:

Topic: Introducing BitHope.org | Bitcoin charity crowdfunding

What I want to present to you is my latest project – BitHope. I will be happy to receive your comments on the idea and its execution. I will try to be as concise as possible, but I am also striving to address all questions that you may have in advance. Here we go:

You can also read the news about the reasoning behind the project here.

I'm also wondering if there's a connection between the Bithope charity site and BitHope.org, at first glance I see a resemblance.

Because of: @vdramaliev haven't visited this forum in two years, so can't ask @vdramaliev, to clarify what's right and what's wrong with regards to the actions of the BitHope site.
