our environment will influence our self to be addicted in gambling or not , no matter in our country its legal and even government takes taxes from it. in some place alot different sight about people that gambling ,they look it as bad habbit and maybe need to avoid in order to safe from bad impact and reputation. moreover if its done by influencers, they will have really ugly opinion.

In my city, an environment that is famous for its gambling is an area that the police often visit just to carry out raids. The sad thing is that most of the gambling players caught from there are drug users and also people who have a low economy. your reputation will be destroyed if you are familiar with an environment full of gambling, control yourself to only play gambling with complete control over yourself, and don't be fooled by invitations from outside that come from a bad environment.

drug and gambling in some place was unseparated thing ,alot of gamblers also trapped using drag and even hard addicted. i am also heard some bad police take money from gambling traditional house to secure it when suddenly there is official ambush so they get early information. if we was famous person , better avoid gambling to make there is nothing negative news about us . as good person , always take care with our friend and circle , make sure they will trap us in negative activity.

Yeah that’s certainly nothing new where local police or law enforcement are “on the take” when it comes to allowing illegal gambling establishments to operate that way they can continue to do so with out being arrested/shut down etc. This is a pretty common practice for typically anything illegal, including things like drug rings etc.

Drug addiction and gambling are two different things. Though there is a similarity in terms of Addiction. However, people who are addicted to drugs can never get better even if they want. It cannot even be identified as a means of entertainment. There are very few people who can be good. But gambling addiction is different. Here gamblers can do anything they want. It is though but he can control gambling if he wants and consider it as a means of entertainment.

The environment and culture around them will influence a person. So if that person engages in gambling while in his place of residence, gambling is seen as a bad thing, and that person may be subject to discrimination. But if the community where they live can see that people who play gambling or are addicted need help, they will not treat it differently and instead help people who are addicted to gambling to cure their addiction. This will look good because caring for the people around us can help people who experience addiction recover.

Gambling is for entertainment but there are people who do really go into certain extent which it isnt right anymore.You wouldnt really only affecting your finances but also your reputation which you had been trying out to protect yet we do really have that ego on which we do make ourselves look good in front of all people.
Some are really just too mindful which they do really end up on being too careful on what actions they would be making.This is why their movements is really that limited due to that reason.
Its not bad to gamble as long you do make yourself that responsible on different things that you do have in life.You shouldnt let it mess up your life due to uncontrolled manner.

On the one hand, the fact that you can keep your hobby a secret is good - everyone has the right to privacy and some small "sins" that it is better for no one to know about. On the other hand, there is a great danger in this that if your addiction worsens, then no one will help you because they will not be aware of this until the very end. Considering that there are finances involved that essentially affect the whole family, this is a very dangerous situation. You must think about it.

Not sure what is wrong here? As long as you aren't affecting other people or your life isn't being affected, then everything is fine. Everyone is fine. The people around you don't give a damn about what you do in your personal life. I am sure almost everyone around you has gambled a little (buying lottery tickets also counts as gambling!) for fun. And what you do in your personal life is none of their business.

So as long as you are not hurting anyone, I don't think your "reputation" would go down for gambling.

It is not difficult to imagine how this could be very problematic in some specific jobs, for example any job in which you manage money you need to be trusted that you are not going to steal it, and even if in those jobs you are surrounded by cameras and companies have a strict control of their employees it is easy to see how someone could get in trouble if it is found out they gamble.

And that is just one example, as I am sure that if we really sit down and think about it we could imagine a lot of scenarios in which you could be discriminated by your gambling hobby.

Does not apply to everyone. People of different country have different culture. Some culture are conservative type and does not want to see professional people dwelling with gambling and drinking or smoking. These are the same people who are very religious. Though you are not hurting anyone, but you're setting a bad example to younger generations. Thus definitely hurt your reputation.

Gambling is fun if you see this as entertainment many people today are seeing gambling as cashflow some of them make a lot of deposit and try their luck to gamble and some of them earns a lot of profit and makes a good return but I guess not all the time it works but some of them that's why gambling becomes addictive once the player already win a single game they think they can win for multiple times that's the reason towards to play more games and also playing a revenge game to get your money back.

That's right, it's useless for you to tell the whole world that you are a gambler, even if you want to spread your referral link (many gambling sites provide referral features) then you can create an anonymous account from the start so that your real identity is not known. but if you really don't care anymore about your identity and reputation then please tell the world (usually social media) that you are a gambler.

Creating anonymous account to spread referral link wouldn't make you to get users since most people like to sign up from referral link since they're know the person or the streamer. Usually the streamer is really funny and he get a lot followers, so it's easy for them to gain a lot referral since he already have own branding.

IMO there's no reason why we need to tell everyone if we're a gambler because it just make increase people begging to us since they think we're rich.

If his intention is only to evade the laws of his society and country and get some entertainment by gambling then it is definitely not a big problem for him but if he gets too involved with gambling while playing this gambling and if it becomes his addiction then it will be a problem in future.  Will be a big problem for him but hopefully it won't happen to him he will get out of gambling before it happens

I like the point you say, as long as it doesn't affect each other everything is fine. no big deal, everyone around us has probably bought lottery tickets or gambled for some favorite team from sports betting. and most likely many people do not care about the activities we do, like to gamble or not. even so, I think it will be different with some people who have important positions in a government agency or as the OP exemplifies. that is, a lawyer, or a university teacher.

Gambling is a personal thing, not something very taboo. without the need to make a statement to everyone, everyone should appreciate without being judgmental. Gambling is now an enjoyable part of entertainment, although it is risky and we know that.

The self-control factor is something every gambler must pay attention to, especially if they are new gamblers who do not have enough gambling experience. They can be more tempted to deposit money when they get an email notification about a casino promotion and will deposit the money right away to get the bonus. This can lead to them becoming addicted in the future, especially if they don't learn about self-control. And if it will make your reputation will decline or even be destroyed, you better hide it from the people around you.
