However, there are many sites alive for many years already, as we can see on previous posts on this same thread. To remain active and popular an online casino has to offer similar or superior features their competitors are offering.

Of course, there should be scam casino projects, scammers take advantage of the popularity of online casinos.
I think for the scam cases, it is clear that they didn't survive because it is not intended to survive, scammers made them grab instant money only. They will leave the scam project when they got enough money.

Check the creation date of that thread, obviously on the first page, and you should find some gambling sites that are operational already for several years and are still alive and kicking today or should I say, even getting more bigger as they progress!

Various reasons are; site CEOs shift interest to other businesses just what happened to Yolodice (correct me on this, thanks), lack of funding and decide to stop now the operations, scammed exit, etc.

Regardless of the reason why the site is closing, what matter is, they should do a good exit and give time for their users to withdraw their respective funds.

Some legit gambling sites here before are making their announcement that they will now close. In their farewell statement, they are including some of the possible reasons although we don't know if that's true.

However, it's a good characteristic that they are doing a good farewell statement instead of doing an exit surprise scam.

It's always assumed they are not making money out of it. Casino in crypto is competing with each other to emerge on top. Some of those who closed or just disappear is because they've got some scam accusations or not really earning.

There are honest casinos who actually announce on they are closing, you can just comment farewell though you have not tried them. The not so honest scam users first before shutdown without notice.

There are so many reasons that contribute to the longevity of casinos been live for long such as keeping a good reputation and not scamming players, paying instantly when users request withdrawals, doing promotions and marketing to keep players in check, free slots and bonuses and many more. What kills casino projects faster than anything others are denying users withdrawals and nothing having enough funds to pay players are the quickest way your company will die, we have seen cases like that here where such casinos end up scamming users and locking their accounts for nothing. I agree with this. There are many casinos that has been established for five years and more already that has been standing strong and operating continuously up until this date. The things that could potentially kill a gambling project are:
1.The owner/s of the project getting greedy and running away with the money. A.K.A Exit scam.
2.A website that doesn't look good enough and lacks functionality.
3.Lack of good advertising.

Yes, don't get caught up in our own ignorance. Asking is important rather than having to suffer losses later. I mean losses in terms of because we entered the wrong casino or gambling provider. Now it has been enforced regarding the license and that is good news for its users. Because those who are registered must follow the steps to be trusted.

I think main reason that kills online casinos are problems with payment systems. If your customers have technical issues with deposits or withdrawals, you will definitely lose a lot. People want to use their money in quickest way possible. Some casinos don't invest a lot in this section and this makes people cold to use that place in future.
