2. 61% of employees are willing to accept a lower salary or a promotion to focus on better work-life balance
If they are promoted then I think the work force is also going to increase but in return of it is that their salary will also increase dramatically. Maybe there are some companies whose system works the opposite way like they gave a better life for those who are higher in positions.
The decision of the workers there are great. They choose a well-organized life over the money while I think there are still some who will prefer money and will accept whatever the consequences are like they will work even the working hours are long and if the scope of the job is tough. Even if many people resigns, there will always be replacements. So no worries.
It's a bit of a double edge sword. If you earn more money and end up with less time then you will not have a good work life balance, but if you earn less then you are not going to have a decent life neither because your life would be filled with debt. I do not live in the USA so I can't really know the salary situation there, but where I live we do not make much money.
I do not do anything major, and even with that in mind I still do not earn enough at all, and I am earning more than most people I know. So if I am not living as a rich person, that means I am living a decent life and by working really hard, and I am happy about it, but I can't afford to just earn less for more time.
