Is Bear Market More Important Than the Bull Market?

That’s true, each of them have their advantages and disadvantages. If you are in a bear market, that means you have the chance to buy bitcoin for cheap, and that’s a great thing and you need to do that, but if you stay too long then it’s going to be like "alright I already bought as much as I can, let’s go up already!" and that’s understandable.

Exactly, we cannot say or call each of them more important and anotehr is less important. The importance is that we can utilize and optimize every chance that we can in both bears and bull markets. So we can take the advantage and also avoid the disadvantages. We have been here for certain time periods and we have been experiencing both bear and bull markets. For me, those are the cycles that we must pass every time. So, this will be our turn to take every advanatge of each market period.

The important thing is that you do know on how to utilize these movements for you to make money.Make yourself that aware on how these trends do behave or move out

Its hard and its not something simple as you do hear of but its not impossible for you to get familiar or get a hold of it.

So I was wondering that wether this bear market will be helpful for new people or not. Cause many people thoughts are different than old people in crypto.

Bear Market is important for investors and newcomers because it opens a window for entry and reentry.  But the Bull market is as important as the Bear market because it keeps the attraction of an asset to the maximum.  It also fuels the speculation of the market making investors think that the price will surge when they invest in the bear market and the proof is @OP's statement.  

So I am preparing myself in Bear market so that I might be able to stand in next bull run that might be the biggest bull run for Bitcoin and that might be just all time high to almost 200k dollars as compared to 2021 Data.
I am writing this article so that big bitcointalk members that are since 2015 and have very very god knowledge in cryptocurrency and can advise me and many other people that are new.

Obviously, if we track the Bitcoin market history, every bear market gives us a chance to buy Bitcoin at a discounted price wherein we can take profit when the market transitioned to Bull Market.  It is also observed that every cycle, Bitcoin always gets to new heights after the bear market, even records new ATH after halving when the Bull sentiment dominate the market.

I would say, accumulate Bitcoin and continue to DCA during the bear market.  It has been proven many several times that Bitcoin has the tendency to break ATH after Bitcoin halving.

There is no way bullish and bearish times would cease from the market, you have to know that, and also know that opportunities are present in the two. I emphasised on that because you seem sentimental here, you claim that one should buy the dip, but you didn't add the opportunity in the bullish market where one could sell the peak.

Both buy and sell buttons are there for reasons, and any true market would have their both buy and sell moments for profit earning.

The biggest advantage we have when the market is down is that it's the best opportunity to reinvest money and buy more coins. I am sure many investors at the end of 2021 were reluctant to buy more bitcoins. When prices are trading near ATHs we should not be buying. To really buy low we need a bear market, bull markets are for taking profits. Identifying the cycles in an asset is important for traders who are using technicals indicators and trends. Being in a bear market also means that the next bull market is around a corner. Another important aspect in investing is that it's much easier to lose money than to make money, avoiding bear markets can save us a lot if money. I would rather save all my money without making a profit, then having a chance to make 10% but lose half my money in half the cases because of a bear market. Preserving capital is more important than getting the highest return in my opinion.

To make it simple, bear market is a good opportunity to buy Bitcoin and the bull market is a good opportunity to sell Bitcoin, so yes, it is good for beginners, as long as they know exactly what they are getting into. It is normal for its price to go up and down because of what's so called volatility. Bear market is really important because this is where most of us will be tested, patient is a must.

It is important also to know what bear market is so that you will not panic and will just patiently wait while other are doing panic selling.

When the price of the coin will rise again, these new investors will sell their coins for profit. Investors with experience in crypto will hold the coin even the price drops. That was the main reason why they made a profit after a while.

If we are early adopters or end users, this is an opportunity for us to buy more Bitcoins at discounted prices. It may take years or decades for people like us to see results, but the greatest thing about Bitcoin and Blockchain Technology is that it will still be here.

The bear market gives us the opportunity to buy cheap but if the bull market does not come, we cannot sell to take profits with our coin so I'd say both are of equal importance. And I agree with you that if we want to make money we must first preserve our capital, just do it in the right order, bear market is accumulation, bull market is profit taking, don't rush or be greedy and make wrong decisions. As long as we have money, opportunities will still come to us.

As we all know, bear market are major down trends are as a smart trader it is expected that it is the time for filling up of bags for the next bull season. Come to think that what if there's no bear market? How you would consider on buying up? We cant really be having a market or not be totally called a market if we do move only going up
or on continuous process which we know that its impossible.This is why both trends are really indeed helpful and beneficial for you to make money.

You don't need to totally wait for the bull run before you can sell because there are small recoveries along the way so it's always possible for us to profit there unless if you are too ambitious about earning big amount in one go but if you will only save up the small amount that you get in short term trades then I think it will still look big and can be close or can be higher to what will you earn in the future if you wait for the bull run.

If you don't have a money or a capital then it's still possible for the opportunities to come. A job is still considered to as an opportunities. There are jobs online or on this forum which can help you get a crypto directly. There's no need for you to buy it.

I totally agree with what you said but some people don't understand that both the up and down in the price of the market has their own benefit I consider those people to be selfish or not willing to accept the fact that every market or institution is prone to bullish and bearish and what's important is the decision make when the market throw an event at them

I started learning how to trade in bitcoin when it is still in the bull run. I started researching day trading and entered the market without knowledge. Even if my trades are mostly lost, I'm still persistent. I am more focused on what ways of trading should I use and didn't mind learning technical analysis as I believe it's just about the timing. Yet, here comes the bear market I started studying technical analysis and how connected is bitcoin between news and the market. I literally spent my time learning deeper as it is so hard to trade in the bear market.

I conclude that both bull and bear markets provide different learnings. Which makes it more important to provide a strategic plan on how you handle the market. The most important thing you should consider is yourself. Enter the market at your own pace and make sure to back up your trades with a proper mindset and knowledge.

Both of them is important on circulation because we cannot earn profits if no bull run will came and we can't buy cheap bitcoins if there's no bear market will disturb the market. I find nothing interesting in asking these two market movement because while others is waiting for Increase? others are expecting decrease .

Some wanted to Buy, while others wanted to sell.


I myself had been in the situation that I wanted to buy so looking for bear market , but after several time I am seeking for Bull market because I badly needed funds and need to sell .

That's how the volatility of the market increases badly and it can no longer be changed just like how people think it will become stabilized.

actually this is not what people to believe now , price to become stabilized as the market is volatile and will change each time , to grow or to fall? both may happen of course.

Now that I was currently buying Bitcoin, then I just hoping for a price increase in order to make some profit but guess what, the market seems never to give me some favor, and maybe because many investors are also asking for the price to drop more.
That is the funny thing in crypto and we surely still see the market is moving up and down.

The importance provided to the bull market should also be given to the bear market. If the market doesn't have bear market, then we miss the opportunity to buy and experience the profit. No investment will have bull market alone and if you find something likewise, then it is complete manipulation and get out of such investment at the earliest.

you are right man both market are both important. Bear market allow us to buy while the bulk market allow us to sell. The cannot just be in a single trend .
