There are many cryptocurrency wallet softwares like metamask, trustwallet. I'm currently using Trustwallet to store my cryptocurrencies. I heard some people say that it can be hacked!
Can people hack my trustwallet?
Is it safe?
How to protect my trustwallet account?
Thanks in advance ♡
That can happen. The strong and multi-layered defense walls of any exchange market can be hacked, let alone just an online wallet defense wall if done by an expert, anything can happen.  so we must always be careful if possible not to be too open with what you have because if it is open it will invite evil to stalk you and using any type of wallet if careless it will not guarantee your property is safe

All the complaints about TrustWallet are not true. The major problem is that users may click on some unknown link and connect to a scam site or they may not keep phrase key in safe zone. However, it is not safe to keep large amounts of assets in such hot online wallets. For this it is better to use Hardware wallet.

when we use Trustwallet it is a closed source wallet and we don't know what it does in their operating system, so for more assets it is better to use another wallet which is more secure with offline storage wallet, because we don't know when our wallet is connected to the internet, criminals try to keep it, and that doesn't mean Trustwallet isn't good, if only for small assets you can use Trustwallet

If you use a Trust wallet and only want to store your coins, you don't need to connect the wallet to a DEX that you don't know whether DEX is safe or not. In addition, you don't need to connect to the internet if you don't make any transactions and it's better to leave the wallet offline. A wallet is safe as long as you can take care of it and don't click on suspicious links. But maybe it's better to keep those coins in a hardware wallet.

Can people hack my trustwallet?
Most of the people been reported that it was their fault for most of the time. From clicking malicious links, using weak machine etc. It's on the user's end fault most of the time.
If it's on trustwallet's end then they probably would say it immediately but the security of the wallet is just depends on how good the user knows how to make it safe their assets.

Is it safe?
It's safe, but the way people manage to safe their assets are different story.

trustwallet is very safe and I have used it for a long time, usually to use trustwallet you are asked to backup the 12 word phrase, don't take a photo and save it on your cellphone because other people can see when using your cellphone, you should save the 12 word key phrase in a safe place where only you can access it, make sure to lock your wallet and cellphone with your fingerprint or pin number, all wallets are safe it's just that sometimes people like to be careless and underestimate security so it's easy to lose their money

the average wallet has its own security as well as trust wallets. This wallet is actually very popular, this means that many people believe in this wallet even myself. the thing we have to avoid is to be on guard, to be careful in transacting and entering web dapps. additional security try activating 2fa in wallet.
Just because it's popular doesn't mean it's safe. The problem with trustwallet and any other closed-source wallet or app is that we don't know how it works under the hood.
The main reason why people use cryptocurrencies and especially bitcoin is that they want to be their own bank.
To be your own bank you need to have full control over your coins and this can't be achieved by using a closed-source wallet.
Therefore, the main problem with trustwallet is trust not security perse.

I think trustwallet is safe so far, but it's possible to get hacked because it's an online wallet.
it's just that you have to be careful in using your mobile device and don't carelessly click on the links on your mobile because it is very vulnerable to hacking.
but in my opinion if the crypto you store is large, I suggest you better use a hardware wallet.

According to me trust wallet is a multiple wallet which is able to do token transactions of all coins or tokens of all networks. And it's hard security complete. But trust but if you go to the phishing side and login then your wallet will definitely get hacked. So first of all you have to be carefulThen the wallet will not be hacked in any way.

To store some altcoins I also use Trustwallet. and so far safe. maybe it's because the numbers are small so I'm not too worried.
but I have come across many stories of people whose wallets have become insecure. but I don't know what wallet he is wearing. but what made the Wallet he used hacked was that he tried to Swap the fraudulent coins. like if we transact Bep20 coins for example on pancakeswap, well after the swap is finished sometimes suddenly in our wallet there is an unknown token and usually the price of the token is extraordinary. which makes ordinary people want to swap it. though it's more like a phishing coin. where when we swap to it. maybe that's when we give the fraudster permission to steal the contents of our crypto wallet. so don't try to swap the coins that are suddenly in our wallet. therefore mostly Phishing tokens or fraud tokens. and it can make our wallet insecure when we swap against it.

I will recommend Safepal hardwallet because of supporting so many chains and user friendly system and every week you will see new chain to be added.
Like trustwallet, safepal hardware wallet is also close source and I wouldn't recommend it.

Just download Trust wallet and Don't connect it to internet.
Even if you don't connect trustwallet to internet, we can't be sure the fund is 100% secure. Because we don't know how the keys have been generated.

And if you can't use hardware wallet, then you can use trustwallet.
Even if you can't use a hardware wallet for any reason, you shouldn't go for a close-source wallet like trustwallet.

There are many cryptocurrency wallet softwares like metamask, trustwallet. I'm currently using Trustwallet to store my cryptocurrencies. I heard some people say that it can be hacked!
Can people hack my trustwallet?
Is it safe?

As far as i know, Trustwallet is the official wallet solution from Binance. So i would guess that trustwallet was tested heavily for bugs or possible loopholes for hackers, so i would say that trustwallet should have the same level of security than metamask. That being said, trustwallet is a software that you have on your phone or on your pc as a browser extension and this means there is definitely the possibility that it gets hacked and that you funds will get stolen, but that possibility is pretty small in my opinion.
As others in this thread have already said, if you want maximum security for your tokens or coins then you should use a hardware wallet like ledger or trezor.

Even if how safe they or even trusted ones still there might be a loophole for hackers to penetrate and we need to be careful on those possible attacks so that we will not get any problem for using that wallet. I'm using metamask for long time but so far for my experience using it didn't much encounter any major issues.

How to protect my trustwallet account?
As long as I'm using Trust wallet, it's never been hacked. So I conclude that Truswallet is safe to use. But if you use Trustwallet to hold coins long term, it's a good idea to create a custom wallet without connecting to other platforms. So that your wallet is not reached by hackers. Maybe this is the part we should pay attention to to protect the wallet. But the rest is Trustwallet developers have also provided high security on the Trust wallet.

I've been using Trust wallet for a long time and I haven't encountered any problem so far. Just don't store big funds in this wallet if you want to get rid of being hacked. The possibility of being hacked is always around so you better be careful in every click that you do. Phishing sites are always existing so it's our responsibility to avoid them as much as possible. If we really want to be careful, better use a hard wallet so you're the one who is in control of your funds.

In my opinion, the security that Trust wallet has is not much different from other online wallets, meaning that using a Trust wallet is not 100% safe.
I agree with what you said it's better not to store our crypto too big in the Trust wallet, if we want to be more secure, we really have to store our crypto
in a hardware wallet. But the problem is hardware wallets are quite expensive, if we can't afford to buy a hardware wallet, it's not a problem we can use
an online wallet, and one online wallet that I recommend is Trust wallet.

But don't store all our crypto in a Trust wallet. It's better if we store our crypto in some online wallet, so that if something bad happens and one of our
online wallets is hacked, at least we won't lose all our cryptocurrencies. Based on my experience using Trust wallet, I'm quite satisfied, but still,
even though I haven't experienced anything bad while using Trust wallet, I advise everyone to be careful when using a Trust wallet.

Generally It's safe when you use it right and know what you are doing. I've been using trust wallet but I personally do it for small transactions only and I don't have not much funds on it given that I primarily use hard wallet. Trust wallet is just like other non custodial wallet, it has the sufficient wallet security though it's still hackable. Make sure to activate most of their security measures to strengthen your wallet security.

definitely not 100% secure and safe. remember, it is an online wallet where hackers can always try those sophisticated hacking tools anytime. so yeah, they are also vulnerable to attacks. trust wallet is a reputable one but storing large funds is indeed not advisable. if you have large funds, why not invest buying a hardware wallet? even though you haven't experienced anything bad with trust wallet, it doesn't mean they are not prone to any future attacks. always secure your funds as no one will do it for you.

Getting a hardware wallet or having cold/offline storage wallet is the safest. Online or hot wallets are more vulnerable to online attacks. Trustwallet is an online wallet.

Trustwallet is also close source. You do not know what Trustwallet developers are doing behind. I can not advice anyone to use close source wallet.

Never leave high amount of funds on online wallets.

For safety, get a reputed open source hardware wallet.
@OP, take this advice or words of wisdom which is totally that right.

Anything which is close source is never been suggestible for it to make it as a storage specially on huge funds. You cant really make yourself sleep at peace.
Even leaving my funds on an exchange platform doesnt really give me that ease feeling.

You should always be minding about the risk or probabilities of hacks and exploits which could happen anytime.
Therefore, nothing beats out on considering those safety precautions.

At present TrustWallet is a very popular wallet. I myself am using TrustWallet. It is a very secure wallet. I don't see any possibility of hacking here and never heard of hacking. You can use it without doubt and without worry. A multi-wallet. Here you can avail various benefits. But some guidelines are that you keep its private phase in a very private place that no one can find out and hack.If you can do this then your account will be completely safe and there will be no possibility of hacking and it will be completely safe.

Control is in your hands, the security of your wallet is also your responsibility. Moreover, the crypto world is very difficult to catch the hackers. No wallet is safe if we carelessly guard it, so my point is that we are all the same wallet if you compare Trustwallet and Metamask
