Crypto Currency should be Integrated into School Curriculum

After reading so many theories, Analysis and the powers of crypto currency in a nation's economy, the greater impact it will bring to developed and fast developing countries. I began to wonder why is crypto currency not accepted in some area's and organization of the world, can we characterized this as lack of information, and awareness to the people. If this be the case, Can we find a way to adopted Crypto Currency as a Subject and integrate it into our school curriculum, or better still as topic and integrate it into Economy's. This has been on my mind, And I honestly need your contribution and your thoughts towards this. I honestly think crypto currency, BTC and ETH for example. Should be adopted globally and accepted by everyone. Thanks

I once though of this but in a different direction. It can never be introduced directly into school curriculum but can be added to entrepreneural scheme learn in school. Due to inadequate job in Nigeria, Government has introduced an entrepreneural scheme like book keeping, marketing, bee rearing, barbing and many more as an entrepreneural subject to the school. I think crypto currency can be added to this list.

Why on earth would they want to include them in school curriculums? That wouldn't benefit them at all and it could even screw kids lives due to its risky nature.

Well as for it screwing kids' lives, it actually depends on what they'd be taught, if they'll be taught how to get rich quick, or how they can prolly have millions of dollars through crypto, then that is where the problem could be inherent, they could basically be taught from the angle of financial freedom and users' control. Having said that, in whatever way it is going to be taught it isn't something that is quite necessary, or that seriously needs to be integrated, there are quite a lot of reasons why it wouldn't work, and imo many people will definitely find out about crypto and undertake their own personal research without being taught about it in school.

Crypto being taught at school will not going to screw the children's financial life. However, schools may only integrate crypto or Bitcoin as one of the topic of a specific finance and economic subjects or any subjects that tackles on financial aspects.
Bitcoin/crypto basics would be enough, just to let the students be aware of what crypto is, not the earning aspects.

A good idea if Cryptocurrencies goes to school lessons, many experts believe that the future of the transaction system will use a blockchain so that by introducing cryptocurrencies will make children accustomed to and certainly become an opportunity to practice investment from an early age.

 Believe me, I'd love to see that day when it gets taught in schools as subject because it could help the children learn of a better, digital way of making money and go as far as broadening their horizons when they are done but just like the others that have answered, I think it's not what we need right now as there are other pressing needs plus Bitcoin can only become a course if study if the government of a region accepts it.

Cryptocurrency could be taught inside mathematics subject when teaching children about decimal houses of a number. Later on, when children grow up, they could be taught about the origins of bitcoin, its purpose, pros and cons, characteristics and how it is behaving on the practice along the years against inflation and protecting the money of its investors. There is enough bitcoin content for mathematics, economy and history lessons, unfortunatelly schools don't teach students to be smart, realistic and critical, rather they teach students to be sheep, so they don't become a threat to the system we live in.

You can't force countries to adopt digital currencies like Bitcoin globally, it's not necessary, Bitcoin is now very well known and understood by the world community, only those who understand how Bitcoin works will adopt it.

You know Economics, School Curriculum and so on are all controlled by the government, Isn't it, some countries and government organizations don't accept the presence of Bitcoin, Of course they don't know Bitcoin and are anti-adoption, I believe cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin without global adoption will grow and develop rapidly over time and also the economy is growing rapidly because of the presence of Bitcoin in the community, for that adoption does not have a positive impact on the crypto market, it is a fact that we see, Bitcoin cannot be controlled and does not depend on employers, Bitcoin grows on its own and goes hand in hand with the world community, You know Bitcoin, Bitcoin also knows you, you need Bitcoin, Bitcoin also needs you, interrelated with each other.

actually, there are colleges or universities that are already integrating the cryptocurrency and blockchain technology courses within their curriculum. there has been a thread here in this forum listing the schools offering crypto related courses. so this is not news anymore but some have long been teaching related courses for quite some time already. besides, a lot of crypto users are self taught owed to the fact that we can basically read and search anything these days over the net. just know where to get valid facts.

I fully agree that cryptocurrencies must be learned in school, starting at elementary! I fully agree also  that BTC must be adopted as a global standard (stop using USD as standard!).
But I do not agree at all on the legal adoption of ETH, because it is a practically centralized project and has a myriad of various issues.

Lol. Dream on op. You need to temper your expectations. Many world governments outright ban BTC and other cryptocurrencies since they fear them due to the possibility of losing power and money.

I know most government won't want to implement that but am sure their are some countries that already adopted bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general so am sure those countries can add it to their curriculum. Also it might just take time but am sure most of the countries banning bitcoin currently won't have choice than to accept bitcoin later in the future, so if they can accept bitcoin, then bitcoin can be added to the curriculum.

everyone who knows cryptocurrencies certainly hopes that cryptocurrencies can be included in the school curriculum but again, each country/region has not been willing to do that because of their unreasonable fears.
The discourse about cryptocurrencies being included in the school curriculum in my country has also been discussed but so far we have not received a response from our government, they have said that cryptocurrencies disrupt economic stability, and to be honest it is a stupid statement.

This is something which could happen at the margins but I do not think it is ever going to become mainstream, governments do not even teach their citizens how their fiat currencies work so it makes no sense to me they could implement this on the curriculum of all schools on their country, especially when governments want the opposite and would prefer that people do not understand too deeply the concept behind cryptocurrencies so they can deceive them later with their CBDCs.

Why should it? Finance (and probably investing in general?) is a far better and far more important subject. Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are just a subsection of the broader topic that is investing.

Yes, well, personal finance I would say. But that does not interest the public authorities. They are interested in people who are financially uneducated, who spend a lot, who get into debt and are always in debt. They want them to be financially dependent on the system.

But that's not going to happen in most of the world, because educating people about money is considered fascist.

Educating about Bitcoin within that curriculum would be ideal, but, again, this is not in their interest. They are not going to promote a currency that attacks their power.

Cryptocurrency is not for everyone, we cannot force those children to adopt, the best option is to provide financial awareness and financial literacy by this we give them freedom to choose and help them build a great foundation for them so when they start to earn their own money, they know how to handle it and they know where to put it.

Beside, cryptocurrency is still not legal in many countries and regulations is not intact to at least protect those young mind from any misinformation or fake news. Cryptocurrency can be learn easily online, I'm confident they will cross this market when the time is right. So having this in a curriculum should not be the priority of the government.

If the mindset of every country's government is like that of El Salvador, the process might not be too difficult. But we have quite different regulations, a country does not want its finances to go in and out without confirmation from the financial authorities. It's a good idea to incorporate digital investing teaching into the sub-curriculum. Just referring to cryptocurrencies is not enough. Many investment vehicles and other crypto categories fall under the digital investment section. This is often a topic that has been discussed, but in the end, it is limited by state policy. If we do not have the power to control it all will be difficult to implement.

We know that government does really play a big role on something like this on which neither its been prohibited or just neutral.If its allowed then it would really be depending
on the school or institution if  they would really be allowing it for it to be included on the curriculum but its true that on this era where everything do involved mostly on digital
then it is just right that new generations should really know on what are the things that we do have today and on how it do works.
There are already universities which does have blockchain courses and its increasing on numbers.

It's very obvious, and it's very clear to the blinds and audible, so since many people has known, so therefore i want you to understand that cryptocurrency has gotten to the crass Root, for any government of a country have to embrace the systematic way of depriving it's life. I've also read several threads about this and indeed this has been enforced in several places but of course this applies only to some crypto-friendly places because this is still difficult to happen for some countries that are not very Crypto-friendly.

Things like this are indeed something that is quite good but indeed it is not easy to turn the palm of the hand because until now even though many people or communities have introduced crypo but still we can't deny that this kind of thing is still difficult to happen.

I disagree on teaching little kids what crypto is, that’s just way too much, we could definitely put it on economics related college classes to teach a lot more about it, there is a good understanding of it, and even computer science majors as well because there is a development related part of it as well and both of them are understandable. But that doesn't change the fact that we can't really end up with anything that would be ok for kids under 17 or younger end up learning from, and I doubt it would really work that well.

This is why it’s a lot better if we just decided not to focus on anything that would be older teenagers, even "teen adults" basically for people who are 20 years old and what not.
