Hello,everyone

Due to the frequent use of this wallet and the transfer of large sums i need advice
How to configure so that bitcoin is spent from a particular address?
I work with companies and they register my address for cryptocurrency as the only one,and the wallet can send funds from any address where there is enough balance
This creates additional difficulties in understanding who sent them the bitcoins

If it is not difficult,please answer in private messages

This is what you can do before sending a transaction:
* make sure the address tab is visible (View -> Addresses
* select the address you want to send from, Right click -> Spend from

The bottom area will reflect the choice.


PS. If you are not convinced, you may want to run (an) electrum on testnet with free testnet coins and try that out.

You have two options.

Option A: Create a new wallet and import that one private key. Each time you will spend money, it will only come from that single address.
Option B: Go on "Addresses" tab (if there's no such tab, View -> Show Addresses), right click on the specified address, click on "Spend From", and now try sending spending some money. It'll use your specified address' outputs.

Can you tell us what company you referring to?
It looks like a payment gateway where all sent bitcoins are automatically redirected to your single address am I right?

If I'm right that this is all about payment gateway then I suggest check BTCpayserver they do have a documentation guide on how to run this and you can access the dashboard where you can manage the transactions and know customers who sent to you.

Another option is to freeze all of your other addresses by right-click menu "Freeze" on an address in the Addresses tab.
Frozen address will be highlighted and their balance wont be available for spend.

You may also have to disable the use of 'change address' so your change wont be sent to another address every time you send them funds.
Disable it in: "Tools->Preference->'Transactions' tab->Use change addresses"

Also, it's useful to enable "Advanced preview" (in the same settings tab) so you can review the input(s) when sending funds,
It will add extra steps (Finalize->Sign->Broadcast) but you will be able to see which address is being used as input.

The beauty of bitcoin and Electrum (since that is what you are using) is that you can create multiple wallets and they are free. It's not like a bank account where there are costs to open one and monthly charges to maintain it.

If your Electrum wallet A is used for all kinds of activities including your work with the mentioned companies, just create a new wallet and use it only for transactions with that company. That way you don't have to bother freezing addresses, and ensuring you spend coins from the correct one. You should still disable change addresses like nc50lc mentioned to ensure no coins spill over to other addresses.

You mentioned companies (plural). If you use a different address for each company, just repeat the previous step several times and create wallets for company X, company Y, etc.

It sounds like the company handles Bitcoin as a "bank account", for which you identify the sender by their account number.
With Bitcoin, instead of checking which address sent them funds, they should give each client a unique payment address. That way, they know who paid them simply by checking which address was paid.
