Good day fellas!

After NFT, what will be the next big thing? In just its early stages, seem Phone Mined Coins on trending these days, tho mostly are based on cloud mining/Solo mining and some sorts of simulation mining.

Am sure you already came across with TAUcoin Blockchain lab? Based in Cambridge, UK. They are working on the Phone Mining Coins(PMC) open source technology based on server-less communication and lite energy mining consensus.

PMC technology enables your phone to mine tens of crypto assets independent from linking commercial servers. For example, any phone can mine “London PMC”, that is exclusive for London in the PMC world. Londoners will see the coin natively living in the app and use them for payment, chat and advertisement. The global phones network will secure and grow the city blockchain collectively.

Yes its already happening, but do you think this will work out? Considering phones' resources while running such a blockchain.

I am not sure at all that the next hype will be some sort of mining, whether cloud or phone mining, or even hard drive mining, which was extremely popular when the CHIA coin was popular. I don't think mining is of interest to a large number of people at all because of its cost and shallow profitability. It is much more profitable to spend time on popular business models of earning token or mint NFT and any web3 initiatives. This is what the crypto community is interested in now and will be interested in the future. This is just my opinion.

Its been a while where these mobile phone mining does already exist but most of them are scams and since we are talking for some legit company then i dont see for these things to be feasible.
Mobile phones are for the purpose of sending out text messages or solely speaking about primary usage of it and involving it on mining which would really spending
up power and processes and i dont know if these things are hoax or just simply image manipulation just to make it look that you are actually mining but you arent.
I cant just trust up these kind of projects but if there's someone who do get interested then it would be your choice.

There are certain parameters that this should "only" work.

1. Consensus shouldn't be POW or POS or with any current protocol.
2. Resource mining consumption should be around or less than 10mb/day. Otherwise, it burns cellphone away.
3. Not centralized
4. No private servers
5. With token value?
6. to be/listed in big exchanges
7. with limited amount of native token

etc..

Only these I coudl think of of the moment.

2 projects that I know that their coins can be earn by mining through the phone.
First Pi Network and another one if I'm not mistaken mangos coin long gone.
But actually these two coins are not really obtained from mining, specifically for the first PI Network because there is no power used from the phone looks good but that's precisely the peculiarity, while the second there must move your cellphone continuously until it reaches a certain amount in a day and can be withdrawn to exchange and convert to btc (I got much profit on this coin).
So to my knowledge so far there hasn't been a project that could actually implement that and I doubt it could be implemented in the future as well.

It's hard to say anything for sure. but, I guess the next trend could be WEB3.0

Phone Mined Coins on trending these days, tho mostly are based on cloud mining/Solo mining and some sorts of simulation mining.
cloud mining is a scam. Whatever website or app offers you this service, it is a scam, and you're probably going to lose money by purchasing their mining packages and maintaining fee.

Web3 is what's making name as these moments but as for these coins that can be mined through phone, I don't think so.

They've been known like around 2018 and many projects have introduced that mobile mining but it's not an actual mining and as you've said, it's just a simulation mining, means not a real thing.

Am sure you already came across with TAUcoin Blockchain lab? Based in Cambridge, UK. They are working on the Phone Mining Coins(PMC) open source technology based on server-less communication and lite energy mining consensus.
I think, I've heard of them before but as what I believe with projects like this, they have made some buzz a few years ago. I doubt that they'll still do the same this time, still, good luck.

It's just all about the connection from nearby "phone miners" and getting the data from everyone who's in. Honestly, I don't think it will work. PoW and mining requires that much power and using hashrates and power from smartphones won't be enough to secure the network.

Well, it's good to remain as a simulation mining and see how long its hype, if there's any will stay.

Don't get your hopes up and think this will become a thing, there is no way phone mining can become the next big thing. There is nothing like phone mining in the first place. Can you list how many trending coins are mostly based on cloud/solo mining?
If you must know, people stop engaging in cloud mining long ago because they are mostly scams, you are pretty much wasting your time and resource thinking you are mining.
The next trend is nothing close to mining let alone phone mining.

only beginners will be tempted by looking for easy money, the concept is simple but in terms of calculations this will return profit capital. I've seen a project with a phone mine concept that failed and there was a bounty in 2019 I forgot the name of the project. I'm glad there is a project founder setting up a mining model telephone side income but it needs to be researched again
This model is what we've seen from a project like Electroneum and that became popular so quickly because it's the first one. But not long enough, the project's buzz became silent and it's got a low volume today. Next project that made that model was the Pi network which is until now nowhere to found in the market despite the marketing they've made and is just liking wasting a lot of people's hope with their simulated mining on phone which how they have introduced advertised the project.

After nft's, there's this metaverse. Phone mining is not next after them because they are already there even before. It's only starting to get hype because of that pi mining but people shouldn't believe on that as it was a scam. There are other legit phone mining app like electroneum but I think they aren't that profitable and you can only end up paying more for the electricity for your phone maintenance as it will likely be damaged from continuous use of the app.

If you want to earn a crypto then there are more better ways of doing it. Crypto trading, investing, working online as a freelancer can be a few examples. You can also do bounties and airdrops.

I don't think that Phone mined coin will be a thing in the future, There were a time that Phone mining became trending for days because of Pi token getting hyped up so much on social media that everyone downloaded it and try it. I believe this was during the bull market where they attract so much traffic in their project. Today, I've seen some merchants accepting Pi token as a sort of payment for their products. I have a social media friend that flexes her brand new bags and other haul that were purchased using Pi Coin, I was amazed that someone really accept that coin but my perception to that coin will not change. Phone mined coin will never be a thing in the future.

I think that's what we're running into😍... I'm in love with this upcoming tech and TAU project..  it's realistic and I believe it's going to be a fantastic method of Mining coins ..

Thanks for The creators of the TAU PROJECT.. for bringing up this solution..wealth is for everyone..what Bitcoin fails.. other coins can revolutionize

Yeah, it's for everyone if there are no greedy people who pump and dump a certain coins I'm sure everyone will get a profit but unfortunately that's not how it works here considering the supply and demand plus the traders. So tell me if it's a decentralized coin then maybe it has a chance to do what Bitcoin can't do.

after entering the bear season the Electroneum coin shrank from volume. and now many projects face the same concept big competition in the crypto world
I'm sure this is what happens when there's a bear market but unfortunately after that shrank you may not be able to see it pumping like what Bitcoin did. There's a lot of factors that it won't grow back again and the only thing that makes the price grow was because of the market hype which does work every to almost every new project I've seen.

TAU was the next electroneum and PI coin. That's actually BS to offer mined coin from your phone. There's no urgentcy to do that other than creating fake hype by using the world mined from your phone. Im not even seeing any usefulness from that thing. Im tired to see that a newbie keep believing with that BS. Using your phone to mine a coin will not be considered as crypto infrastructure caused by it contributes nothing for the blockchain ecosystem.

The real blockchain was actually decentralized but after i have seen the mechanism about how mining from phone work and then i do believe if these are only full with BS. You basically did nothing with your phone and then developers were adding some number in your balance (wallet)

not just one coin or one project is dimmed but almost 90% of them are consumed by the long coming bear season. This has become a risk for founders to understand the market situation, because those who actually realize real projects will last a long time. Electroneum is a good project and they are still alive today but, didn't see any new ATH in last bull season
I wonder if what are those 10% who are not included in the bear market but they can be a mixed of coins that are from the top and some coins which are not really that known. What I know is that eth, matic, sol and bnb have showed a good increase last time but some of them have decreased again later on.

Bear market is a time for accumulation so if you are a founder or developer of a coin, you can try to deploy your project during this season and expect that people will buy it. More if they find potential about your project. If electroneum is a great project then there is still a chance for it to experience an ath and it could happen once this bear is over.

I hate to break it to you, but mining coins on a phone is a complete waste of time and money. You'd just do it for fun, rather than profit. There were tons of CPU-mineable coins which turned out to be a failure in the long run. Electroneum was one of them, followed by Pi Network and several others. Back then, there was a coin named "Magi", but the original developer abandoned the project some time ago. The community has taken over it, but it's not the same as the good-old days. What I like most about the coin is that all miners are equal on the Blockchain. There's an algorithm which penalizes big miners by reducing the block reward. So you'd have to mine with very little hashrate to get the most rewards out of a block.

If other CPU-mineable coins copied Magi's model, they would've been much more decentralized and equitable by now. You can still mine Magi (XMG) on a phone, but don't expect to get rich anytime soon. With GPUs and ASICs being extremely profitable these days (although energy costs are increasing at a fast pace), less people will be inclined to mine crypto on their phones. Just my thoughts Grin

the title itself is risky for me, Phone Mining? there are several projects and apps i come across in the past that ended not good, some are even bad for our gadgets.

and NFT ? I don't know if this is truly manageable and trusted , do we have vouching here?

I can see that TAU mobile mining has already been established since 2 years ago. I was a  miner of that coin. The current tech is focused however in decentralized web 3 model, initially at messaging. It would literally mean no restriction from posting or joining groups. Mobile mining tech does not rely on POW or POS obviously as what most of the comments here seem to know. It is far beyond the likes of electroneum or even Pi. Those are all simulated mining, which as we all know, is not real mining. TAU mobile mining concept derives from having no central servers ( such as facebook, twitter, telegram etc.) while utilizing the least possible data consumption on a daily basis. And yes it is a hard code to make since there is literally NONE to copy from. Blockchain nowadays are focused on speed of transactions while neglecting decentralization and security.

How decentralized can TAU get? The groups you create on app are totally controllable only by you. Even the team cannot control them. People cannot be removed from the group and messages cannot be deleted ( as they are hashed on chain ) If  you think at it, it is actually a great way to hide messages and have a discreet communication.

So far, this is what I understood about the project and tech. I do not understand codes nor have any skills so you are free to check on their codes since they are public and open-source anyway. If I would put it in line with bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, it should be as follows:

Bitcoin - Proof of Work - Digital gold - Finance
Eth - Proof of Stake - Smart contract -
TAU - Proof of Transaction - Communication

Mining coins on mobile phones never work, also this is not what adds value to a crypto project, the last good project I knew of that used mobile mining was Electronuem and the team confessed that the mining strategy is more like cloud mining, so there for it's not real mining.

Crypto mining on phones is never going to be something that brings hype in the future unless a cryptography algorithm is built specifically for phones, at this point this is still impossible.

Look into Metaverse and Play 2 earn projects, I believe these are the next crypto hype in a few years more.

It's because all you know are Proof of Work and Proof of Stake.. And these all takes away resources and of course, mobile mining won't work for these protocols. You study other protocols such one of Proof of Transaction TAUcoin is using then start criticizing mobile mining. Other projects such as Electroneum and Pi and others obviously only copies code from bitcoin and ethereum and the likes so mining on  mobile phones wont work. TAU seems unique in their approach since they also tried IPFS in mobile mining and although it seemed to work on the beginning, even IPFS consumes resources.

Even with all their work, "mobile mining" seems impossible since all we are familiar with are  bitcoin and eth codes.
Remember, internet was once an "impossible thing". TV was once an impossible thing. Computer was once an impossible thing. Bitcoin was once an impossible thing.
Who knows when mobile mining will become a thing. Especially one that gives control to the community and not to a central authority.
