Not all coins that can survive from this bear market can grow and rise up significantly in the next bullrun. SOme may be able to, but others may not be able to. We have seen so many examples from previous altcoins in the previous Bullrun. Many altcoins couldn't pass their previous ATH, moreover, the price is still really worse and not rising up again. This is normal because a new bullish market will commonly includes many new comers that may be more popular and potential to trade and invest. But for some other coins that have really big value like Bitcoin,Etheruem, and maybe BNB, they may have higher chance to ris eup much more.

That's true because there will always be changes in market positions, especially in the top 10, 20, 50, and 100 lists. Perhaps the position of the coins that currently occupy the top list can be replaced in the future because of the latest technology that can provide advantages over coins -old coins. But old coins that already have advantages may still survive in the future.

I also have coins that have been around since 2018 but even though the coins seem to be suspended, I can see that some are still trading their coins. But I don't think the coin can go back to its prime, but if it could, it might be one of the hidden gems. I hope so

If it is still traded and is able to maintain its volume and the project continues, it may still be able to return to its glory. But the problem is whether the project is still managed by the developer or not, try to look at the exchange that trades the coin, how much volume is there or is it only run by bots. Some of my past project coins that were originally still very valuable, but are now just dust in my wallet.

Hopefully, it can return to its heyday but that is not easy because of the competition with other new coins or tokens with almost the same or even greater support. When viewed from the community, there may be some that the developer still manages because the project is still running even though there have been no updates like other projects. I might not be okay if the coins haven't been able to go up high because the money I used wasn't too big when I bought the coins. I even have coins that turn to dust, as you said and maybe it will be an eternal stash hahaha.

altcoins are always risky including the top 10 coins. do you remember the top coins from previous bear seasons?, iOTA, EOS, BCH... and many more. when bear season arrives, people still expect them to be coins that can help them weather the bear season and profit in the next bull season. but after that, all could not return to the old ATH level and were gradually replaced by other emerging coins such as Sol, Near, Atom…the market altcoins is complex and unpredictable, topcoins will not die but there is no guarantee that they will recover and grow while new and better altcoins prepare to launch.

Thousands of altcoins will survive if that's the case but the issue is whether will they continue to grow in price or remain stagnant at their lowest price if the bull market starts. Each project team strives to continue providing full support for the coin or token to survive the bear market. You need to spend longer time if you really want to understand how the market works, it's not just an easy journey where you can always rely with the current sentiments, if you wanted to have a better view on how to expect with the coin/asset that you are holding or supporting you needed to work with the team in terms of doing your research and following the development of the said project.

Surviving is possible for those who know the drill and are capable of adjusting in each market directions, bear is a good opportunity for every trader who takes their time observing and waiting for the asset to fall.

It is true that the top 10 coins are not safe haven, they can also be heavily affected by the market. Some top 10 coins we see today were not there somewhere 2018. But comparing top 10 to some shit projects makes top 10 safer. But it does not mean it is as safe as bitcoin. There is to an extent a coin will reduce anf it will no longer return to normalcy, no matter how long you may wait in vain.

Then I belive that any top 10 coin that has survived the bear till now, will definitely survive till the next bull. Gradually the industry has gotten used to the bear and we are patiently waiting for the greener days.

the chance is too slim while being a scam is widely broadcast after the sudden downfall of each scam project.

Altcoins are no longer very relevant these days except for the topmost coins in the marketcap as most of them have turned out scams and some just gone easily since they struggle hard from bear market survival. So it’s either you go into bitcoin and ethereum, or just leave the market quietly just because of the fears to take the risk.
