Well spoken. I also disagree that we get rich by saving, but saving is not selfish, the goal of saving is for life's emergencies. In life, there are always unexpected things that happen, so we always have to have a backup plan. The current crisis is the most obvious example, a lot of people are struggling financially but if someone has already prepared some savings in the past then this is where the savings come into play.
