Maybe you can still make use of any of these testnet faucets:

Testnet Bitcoin. Activate, experience it, but don't trade and get scammed.

Know that testnet bitcoin are not bitcoin and only used for testing.

I need some for something
Do tell! If it has anything to do with this, you came to the wrong place:
Please don't give TNBTC to people who are just hoovering it up to paid by defi scams based on it.

Real testing just needs tiny amount, the people who "need" large amounts are selling it.  (technically trading it for defi testnet defi tokens which they expect to get converted into real value once that scams they are participating in go live).

This abusive and anti-social behaviour has made it hard for people to get testnet for actual bitcoin testing because they've drained all the faucets and conned the people that have historically given it out out of theirs.

It's also forcing bitcoin development to abandon testnet for testing.

Large amounts, I always wonder what that means when 100 tBTC probably costs as much as 0.01tBTC!

Sorry for assuming the worse but yes, usually serious testers do tend to be more descriptive when asking for things. And you probably need the latter amount max for actual testing.

Made me wonder, is testoshi a thing?

If you let people know what you are trying you will probably be able to get some from members here, as mining on the testnet does not geneate a lot of coins anymore. But, for now here are some faucets:

You should be able to get the tbtc 0.5-0.7 you are looking for in a day or two of hitting them.

I am a fan of using regtest whenever possible:
https://developer.bitcoin.org/examples/testing.html
https://gist.github.com/System-Glitch/cb4e87bf1ae3fec9925725bb3ebe223a

As others have pointed out it does not work for everything but it will let you test most apps that are using core as their back end easily.

For simply 'experimenting with Bitcoin', even 0.01tBTC (or however much faucets give you) is more than enough. Bitcoin is divisible down to 1/100.000.000th (satoshis), that's why you can do thousands of transactions with even a small amount of test BTC.

You can also easily just 'experiment with Bitcoin' with regtest, as Dave mentioned above. I don't see why you need 'large amounts' of tBTC.

was just going to experiment with tbtc

If it's just casual experiment, most likely don't need 0.5-0.7tBTC. You could just use 1 sat/vbyte as TX fee and send only send very small amount of Bitcoin on each output address. But if you insist you need lots of tBTC, you either have to
1. Explain in detail why you need lots of tBTC. Most people wouldn't give such amount due to tBTC scarcity and potential you fell for scam.
2. Use all faucet which already mentioned.
3. Mine tBTC with your own device. While difficulty on testnet is too high for CPU/GPU, you can try your luck by mining block with difficulty 1 if there's no block mined in last 20 minutes.
faucets dont work for me, theyre all blocked for some reason. which is why im asking here

I do not plan on sending this to anyone else, I am not buying/selling tBTC and want it purely to experiment with it.

You have 0.017 tBTC already, it seems to work just fine.

You still haven't shared what you need it for. I can't think of many things that you can do with 0.5 but can't do with 0.017.

And how do you want to experiment exactly? Please explain.
Nobody is going to send you larger amount of bitcoin with childish explanation like that, and begging wont help also.
It's clear that you are only collecting and receiving testnet coins, and you didn't sent a single satoshi, that is not really called experimentation.

So you're jumping through a lot of hoops to evade IP rate limiting of tBTC faucets. You seem pretty determined to suck those faucets dry.
I'd just like you to know that their limits have a good reason, which is that they just have limited amounts of tBTC available. For general testing of Bitcoin or applications built on it, very small amounts easily suffice (as explained above), and by using unnecessarily large amounts you are taking away tBTC from everyone else. Unless absolutely needed (again; with a good reason, you can get tBTC easily from forum members), you should please avoid sucking faucets until there's nothing left for others.

I do not plan on sending this to anyone else, I am not buying/selling tBTC and want it purely to experiment with it.

Unfortunately, it seems like EndoBTC doesn't understand the actual use case for tBTC and their faucets and probably hoards to sell them.
I heard some shitcoins are also exchangeable for tBTC. Hopefully with my above explanation they understand why it's not a very nice thing to do.

Precisely.
For the vast majority of test cases, you are testing that the code you are working on for *your* software/app is able to correctly transmit/receive transactions. The amount of the Tx is irrelevant (unless your code moves a decimal point...), it's getting the process to work correctly that counts.

Once your testing is done and the project is safe to use on the main BTC network a true community supporter is expected to return tBTC back to the Faucets so they can continue to support code development.

Balance is still the same 0.01740317 tBTC, so nothing was ever ''returned'' or sent from your public address:
Quote
Total received   ‎0.01740317 tBTC
Total sent         ‎0.00000000 tBTC
Balance            ‎0.01740317
https://mempool.space/testnet/address/tb1qjvntwgt3snue53m0qg4my8elyk4lm7zz6zyehk
im using a diff address now, ill send the address later when i get on my pc
So, 13 days later and guess what? That tbtc is still sitting untouched in their wallet. So much for the OP's claims of honesty...  Roll Eyes

Wow, time flies! I thought of something the other day: what about mining those tBTC yourself? After all, we have these guides by nullama:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5415335
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5415861

However, only then it dawned on me: the testnet block reward is only 0.025tBTC per block, instead of 6.25!
You'd need 40 blocks for 1tBTC.. Grin
