NFTs give crypto a much-needed use case, but out of all of them, I find Historical NFTs to be the most interesting. Blockchain tech has been around long enough now that there is demand from collectors for old and rare digital assets, created before the NFT explosion in ~2019.



Nowadays anyone can and does create their own NFT, and there will be an infinite number of NFTs minted in the future. So how do you pick out what's good from a limitless supply? The answer lies in Historical NFTs, which have a set number, can't rug you, and will only increase in demand as they get older.

Is there any more reason why people are investing into different types of projects? Hype or not, we are investing because it's either we want to grow our money, or we want to defeat inflation. I mean in general; people are investing because of profits.

NFT arts are the only projects that until now that the hype has ended, still don't know the exact reason why people are buying it aside from the fact that they just want to profit from it. I don't know, but most NFT arts doesn't have any use case at all. NFT games on the other hand, has a use-case at least and their token can be used on the game. It's just that NFT's hype is over already thus, people aren't investing too much into it and they are still waiting for the bear market to end and then they will find another project/s that will give them more money.

HYPE

When done in a proper timing, you can profit in a hype NFT.

There's a lots of opportunities around and all we need to do is to be serious hunting those.

That's also the reason of most of the people here. Regardless of the technology, as long as hype was there, expect that you will have a chance to gain profit on it.

If it's only about hype then there is no need to switch on nft's because there is also hype here in cryptos. The meme coins, fan tokens and so own. There are more of them but I think there's only one hype around nft's and that was already over. Nft's are very silent now but not cryptos. Football tokens are in hype lately because of the incoming football event.

Depending only in the hypes can be very risky. We shouldn't prioritize them but prioritize cryptos or nft's with real technology behind them because they are more guaranteed to give you a regular income which any hypes can't do as it was changing and doesn't stay on one coin or nft.

I didn't quit crypto investment, rather I only tried few NFT games which I think the best investment when you at their very first phase. But knowing early NFT games doesn't really make you lucky because you still gonna carefully look at the team behind the project and most likely those who are trasparent with their project mostly are legit. Those who hide behind community managers are the worse one. You might gonna lose your money investing in such NFT game.

There is no reason because I never switched investing into NFT at all. NFT is just another wave on the ocean which is going to hit the shore and get dissolved back to its primary place and vanish. That’s the thing here about NFT and you can also sense the same with the current key word search about it over the Google or other platforms. The crypto currencies is always going to be perfect investment since it’s in existence since long as compared to the NFT and they will always have organic volume all the time. So my trust and efforts still goes into bitcoin and other currencies.

NFTs are a subset of Crypto, I didn't switch from Crypto to NFTs, I somtimes buy NFTs for a possible flipping but most times it end up no buyers just sellers or team just rug. I have more coins than I will ever pay attention to NFTs.

NFTs never meant to be an investment in first place most people that are buying them so just they can put them on their profiles and for flexing most of them time. Alwo to help the project they are interested in or invested in that project.
For me the reason I'm using it there some P2E projects where they offer NFTs to boost the profit that's the only reason i can spend my money on NFTs qnd rarely i buy them to support the project

To tell you that I have no good experience inf NFTs, I have some collections of these but have no chance to sell them at this time. I was really hopeless about them and in regret of falling into the wrong investment. Maybe I'm not a lucky person and yes, I really don't have because I expect a lot from them, but unfortunately they turned to like a scam project, and just realized it after. I was been fooled by the hyped before making me decide to invest in them. I was too blind not to see it before things happen.

Why someone should start investing in NFTs is because people just like what has no value to be valuable, there is nothing special about NFTs than normal coins and tokens which are better. I prefer to just invest on coins and tokens that are fungible which their value are based on demand and adoption. People can not quite fungible coins and tokens for NFTs because both can be invested on. No one that knows about crypto that will not want to invest on fungible coins and tokens.

Few NFT projects are now having better utility, I don't if you've heard about staking with NFT? That's a good utility for me, putting your NFT to work to get more of the projects token makes sense, some called it minting but very limited projects have this right now.

Let's say that i have a double interest in investing in nft, some collections i like and i think i will keep them forever, then it is an alternative market to traditional altcoins with which you can make gains both with long term hold and with trading

I haven't transitioned, but I have used NFT opportunities as speculation. In my opinion, it is a good tool for speculation. You should not consider NFT as a full-fledged investment at all. These tokens depreciate very quickly, have low liquidity and tremendous competition. I would recommend anyone who wants to try to make money from NFT to use a flipping strategy. NFT trading is good during a high. For example, flipping on the new NFT collections on the Aptos network can be applied quite nicely lately. But investing in such tokens for a long-term period is an extremely risky venture.

First of all, I think it's a big mistake to switch from traditional crypto assets to NFTs. There is no problem in investing part of your portfolio in NFT, but since it's a risky niche, investors should still rely on cryptocurrencies like bitcoin and ethereum for the biggest portion of their holdings.

What was the reason behind it? And what was interesting about it? 😉

I just invest in NFTs which have a real usage. That is, virtual online games' items. Or I earn those NFTs inside the game and exchange later for real money. Like we used to do with SLP at Axie Infinity while it was still profitable to play the game and possible to farm rewards in adventure mode.

I didn't totally switch from cryptocurrency investing to NFT. But I just owned some NFT. There are a lot of reasons why I owned NFT, one is because I want to support innovation, these technologies are amazing every day we have a lot of things being discovered, and with this new trend which is NFT, I believe there will be a future on it, especially we are just started to explore, it's like we always using internet on our day to day lives.

The major reason why I invest in any project whether NFTs or otherwise in this industry is to maximize profits and gain. I guess several other people share in my motive as most people are in the industry to earn whether by investing their money to earn more money or by investing their intellect, knowledge and time Inorder to earn a living.

I don't actually have NFT's but I am part of them since I play NFT games but regarding the question about switching from traditional crypto I don't think that will happen as NFT is just a new trend nowadays and it is also part of crypto so for me there is no such thing as "switch".

This is the only logical answer. Profit is the only reason to buy these and there is no other reason, people who claim that there is an added bonus reason for it could be lying or at least they should not do it. There are people who got in for the hype of it, like to be part of it.

Art in the end is something that worths money only if everyone agrees, if the whole humanity suddenly thought Mona Lisa worths nothing, it would be in a garbage can, it only worths something because we all think it does, or at least enough people think it does. Which is why some people wanted to be in part of it without caring about the money part of it. They just wanted piece of the art that was so hyped.

I'd found it as another story of investing, different from most who are seeking profit.
Honestly, as NFT hit the market and in the hype, many investors had come and bought them. Of course, they are making money from it but as the hype begins to slow down, many of these NFTs are not sellable and are thought to its dead.

I just recall what happened with ICO, something like it happens to NFT as well. Some of them will stay long but many are going to die.

Are you sure NFT just launched recently and crypto was born before NFT, let's see what @nuthildah already mentioned. Looking there, you can also see that the idea of NFTs has been around since 2011, which means they predate both ethreum and topcoins today. NFT was simply unpopular at the time and it was introduced into the cryptocurrency market recently. NFTs have existed in our lives before being introduced into cryptocurrencies to create hype. It is not profitable for you but it is profitable for others, it's useless for you but useful for many people.

Last time i invested into NFTs was gods unchained Genesis Sale. I saw a lot of potential in it as there was nothing like it around at the time. Development phase was pure pain and there was ton of waiting involved and bugs in the game but after they launched their cards to market, i sold a card i got for free with 2 eth and i was happy.

And after that we got $gods and $imx airdrop. Those bought More money then i got from year of trading before that. After that i sold all cards, gods and Imx as i couldn't stand their slow development, or immutablex marketing in general .

I am never looking back. Well ecxept maybe for other new nft projects

I think there is no reason other than profit, not only NFT but people invest in bitcoin just because they want to make money, they want to become rich. Although the NFT is currently without any notable hype, the NFT market is still active despite the bear market. NFT projects are working efficiently on polygon, IMX and solana. IMO, the NFT hype will return when the bulls return.

We have no way to know if the hype will in fact return to the NFT market, we must not forget the ico market was also incredibly popular back in the day and many people thought that it would make a comeback during the next bull run, but it did not happened as people had learned their lesson already and were not interested in such a model anymore, so it is entirely possible something similar is going to happen with the NFT market as well.
