Great performance from Valencia and I left him out!  It's fine if I hadn't thought about it, but the budget

My first exact result ( superbru, FIFA 1x2), very good team Ecuador, breaking the statistics, the organizer loses the opening game for the first time.

I almost thought no one, at least in this contest would get points off this game as they aren't any projected winners for the cup based on transfers that won't come frequently if it comes at all, won't be a good idea to have players from teams that could be eliminated early in the cup but E. Valencia is surely something else. Especially when playing against an inexperienced Qatar side, he was definitely some good choice for the few who picked him. His the only player on that pitch to have previously played in the world cup, the captain of his side and goal scorer for his country side.
Tomorrow, we start the cup proper. This was just a test fantasy test match.

Damn, people behind this game are slow, they have updated points for just 2 players so far.

They could be busy fixing the glitches before they add/update player points. It's a mess already and it's just day 1.

They could have asked EPL how they have been able to run a smooth fantasy league for so long without any hack story and how they award points while the game is still in progress instead of waiting 2 hours after each game to update the score. The interface looked terrible to me.

Of course, there's always that odd manager that selects underdogs for his team, so I won't be shocked if Valnecia was selected and given the captaincy.

Those are not their fantasy points but rather their order of auto substitutions to be applied to your team in case any of your players don't play on that matchday(week).

Points still not updated, makes for fun decisions in game where you can already make bench substitutions.

I did not hear about that budget exploit but I plan to use wildcard in GW2 and see if it will really be possible to make free transfers for GW3 with it as well.

What is absolutely worst is the fact that Wold Cup fantasy from FIFA worked perfectly 4 years ago. I guess someone wanted to be smart and hired new team to work on it.

Pickford my sub and I wanted to test that if it worked and it does, as he's automatically gone in now and shows 0 points (live). Kane is my 12th man boost, also showing 0 points so it seems like the live is working for FIFA.

Sterling started also, so I got that part right in my Quiz (but I can't imagine anyone else not picking him to do so)... just need Southgate to sub him off and get Trent on late when they're still nil-nil like this as I expect will happen when 2nd half resumes. 25 minutes and not one attempt on target, typical England.

I think that without a doubt the different ideas are mixed (pool) a start in 4th place that could undoubtedly change today, since I only have one player to "fight" points.

The match that interested me at the level of this WC-Fantasy: nice game England; MaGuire on my payroll, he almost scored a goal as I expected but the stick took away those additional points... so today I reach 17 pts.

Looking at how players get points I think Fifa didn't give much opportunity for the defenders to score extra points with fantasy football... how is it that strikers get points for shoots on target, midfielders for tackles and key passes, keepers for saves  and defenders just nothing if not a goal or an assist of which  all players get Considering the substitution glitch that was earlier reported and seeing this, could Fifa have rushed this game

And to cap my FML off? I subbed Saka out of my team... and I lost all 15 points from him. Did NOT realise you would lose points after benching people in the same Matchday. I know the rules say players on the bench don't earn points, but I thought this was only if you kept them benched. Made such a good choice to have him in my team, and then of course fantasy inexperience gets in the way. Normally don't even bother with subs but thought I'd be smart in this FIFA format.

Absolutely not, subs are there to let you get more points. But the idea is not to sub off players that did well for you, rather try it with players that did poorly. For instance Trippier got 1 point for me and he will go out for DeBruyne tonight, while I will also sub someone else, maybe Eriksen when I see how many points he got for Batsuyashi. Then I have Neymar on final day to twist one more player.

I have Fantasy chat on Clubtalk tomorrow at 6PM GMT between last 2 games so feel free to drop by and ask stuff like that.

I am also changing my captain from Messi to Neymar or DeBruyne. It is a bit of gamble since I will loose his double points but I believe it is worth it.

Didnt even realise this is what was happening but for now I will take the W inpite having a long way to go... Hope Fifa corrections don't affect our scores so much to cause big position variances.

It is always possible but I would say that chances are way lower for inactive managers. Inactive managers are playing with 11 players while active are playing with 15. Not exactly but we can exchange those 4 extra players after our first choices failed. That option should get you at least 10 more points every match day and probably even 15. This time there is also an option of actual transfers during match day but that is not needed if your first selection was on point. That is only for those situations when you see that your choice have been left on the bench. For instance very handy if you took Benzema for your team.

I honestly didnt see that coming. That player had Kane and Messi on his team but then decided to put the captain band on Valencia, there was probably still some other options to put that band on his midfielders though but oh well I guess people needs to think out of the box to get decent amount of points rather than selecting only favourites

From what i can tell points for tackles, key passes and shots on target have not been added yet. Not to mention they've changed the rules once again, midfielders now get 7 points for goals (instead of 5), two days after the competition has begun and people have locked in their transfers.  

I've seen teams with up to $-9.5m budgets using the transfer glitch, i've also seen at least one team with six midfielders, which according to the rules and allowed formations is not possible. It's just crazy how many bugs and glitches this game has, unnecessarily complicated rules, a totally unfinished product.

I am also changing my captain from Messi to Neymar or DeBruyne. It is a bit of gamble since I will loose his double points but I believe it is worth it.

I think i'm staying put with Messi's points at this point, it feels kinda early to take risks, though De Bruyne is tempting with mids now getting 7 for a goal.

Has anyone else played their 12th man chip in MD1? I've got 9pts from Mbappe, though it should have been more, not sure how he missed that tap-in late in the 1H...
