Being responsible towards the unpredictable future of bitcoin, I agree with you. If parents have the opportunity to make a safer investment, while maintaining its profitability against fiat devaluation, they should go for it, instead of bitcoin investment.

The issue is that most people don't have a large chunk of money to make such investments, so they are left with the alternatives banks give them, like saving and fixed income accounts. In my opinion none of these are alternatives thinking on the future of children, due to their low interest rates, therefore bitcoin is still a very viable option for our money, because there are good chances it will be much more valuable in a decade or so, besides being possible to invest any sum of money anytime, without any barriers.

The idea isn't bad lol. Due to our greed and panic, we can't hold Bitcoin properly. There are really people that have short patience and want to earn profit instantly, but comparing it to opening a bank for your infant so that his or her future is secured is good, and I just realized this as I do have a child right now for which I am planning to open a bank. That is a good idea to save as early as possible for your children to try and make their life more easy once they are older. It's true that some people would like to get rich first before saving money for their family. The problem is however that there is no guarantee to become rich. What if we invest all our life and end up making bad trading decisions. In my opinion it's better to include our children in our financial planing and put at least some money away. Already a small amount each month can grow to a decent portfolio over 18 years. The important thing is to spread out our money across multiple projects and not to put all the money into one basket. It's very hard to predict how the world will be in 20 years and what is going to be successful then.

Of course this is good advice for parents who want to protect the future of their children, but maybe you have to look at our economic situation too, if you think you don't need to use the gift money because you can afford it, it's a good thing to save it in bitcoin for your child. But yes, people's economic conditions are different, so of course you have to measure them first with their conditions.
I also often see someone using money as a gift for children when they are born or on their birthday, many parents buy it in gold.

There's nothing wrong with comparing bank rates to bitcoin, but you didn't mention the risk when you put your child's future in an asset fraught with risk and uncertain future. In this case, I would suggest 50% of savings or other assets like gold and 50% of that to bitcoin. If the risk happens, we still have half, maybe gold or savings don't bring the high return, but at least it's safe and stays with us. With bitcoin, you are trading safety for profit, so consider it because it is our children's future.

It might be great to have an idea like the OP, investing in their future from the baby, but I guess whatever we do today is for them in the future unless you never save anything for them.

We never know how much money we will need in the future because the world economy is getting more and more chaotic. Money becomes worthless and it continues to lose value, so bitcoin or other investment instruments can also be considered as an effort to save money today for their needs in the future.

Investing for the long term is not easy, that is why we need to think of something which will encourage us to do it and one of it is to help secure the future of our children. For those old parents, their kids are already grown up and not an infant anymore but it does not mean that they can't invest on Bitcoin anymore. They still can in preparation for their kids college education or also in preparation for their retirement so that they can get something even if they don't have a work anymore.

I know they also have retirement pays but it doesn't occur too often and then the amount of it may not be big enough for them to enjoy and also to give some help to their kids when they are struggling financially.

So I was in the bank the other day and enquiring how I can open a saving account for my👶 infant child  🧒 and the bank official gave me some conditions that I was not ok with and they based the condition on the fact that my child does not have a national id since she is under age putting a long period of only deposits no withdrawal and a low-interest rate.
This got me discouraged and I just bought Bitcoin with the money and held it for her till she is mature enough to control her wallet and securities.
Bitcoin is the best store of value for the future and our kids need to have savings in that future.
