I think in some countries, people are really shifting to crypto only and most of their investment portfolio is in the form of crypto instead of stocks. The awareness related to crypto is increasing day by day and this more people are getting included in this crowd. Stocks on the other hand become saturated, people have realized that these stocks are not as much profitable as bitcoins. Also, there are other benefits of bitcoins like it can be used for transactions. This cannot be done with stocks.

I doubt this is the case, it is true that for the small investors this market may seem to be more attractive but we need to be honest a small investor will have no opportunity to buy stocks to begin with, so it does not really matter if bitcoin performs better than stocks as they did not had any option anyway, what we need to wonder is if those that were trading stocks already stop doing so and have begun trading bitcoin exclusively, and I really doubt something like this happened.

I don't think bitcoin's popularity has made all stock investors switch to crypto investing instead of sticking with stock investing. It may be true that some stock investors have turned to crypto investing due to its increasing popularity, but not for all of them. For anyone who thinks crypto investing is high risk, they probably won't invest immediately, especially for those who don't like high risk investments.

Bitcoin investments do not guarantee returns in x years for x dollars. But the price volatility has provided good profit for the investors, but not a few have lost because of it.

Investing on cryptocurrencies have increased and this hasn't happened as a switching from stock investment to cryptocurrency. People have considered it as one more form of investment. Particularly middle class people have begun to prioritise against other forms of investment considering its growth, though it is high risk.

Volatility too big reason for people showing interest on cryptocurrency investment, because the volatility helps them get into trading practice which too could help them with profit. People find investment on cryptocurrencies to be much easier than investing on stocks which is also a reason for increasing interest over cryptocurrency investment.

From my personal standpoint, it depends on the context.
Bitcoin has not impacted much the stocks readily available in countries like USA or the European Union. However, Bitcoin and other blockchains have allow people from developing countries to have access to financial services and investments.

For example, someone from my country would not have many options if wanted to invest in stocks, since we cannot access to USA stocks or other foreign markets. Before Bitcoin people here only saved their money in local currency or USD, now we have new baskets to invest in and the best part is that we do not need to trust someone with the custody of our investment.

This is likely the case in many  developing countries with a significant volume of Bitcoin, which probably is bigger than the volume of local stocks.
We have our own local public companies but people are more interested in Bitcoin.

Interest of people into stocks won't diminish, because of the growing interest on cryptocurrency and its adoption. As of now out of ten person investing into stocks, it is possible to see one person investing into cryptocurrency. So, we're at the very early stage of people getting into cryptocurrency investment.

Simple calculation. Among 100 people 10 prioritise cryptocurrency investment and the rest concentrate on stocks and other traditional form of investment. In the 10, it is possible to see 5 person having stocks in his portfolio. The stock market is not very attractive to me. The digital currency in the encrypted world is a new financial tool, representing a new financial order, which is more stimulating and pioneering. I prefer new things. The essence of the stock market is the operating data of enterprises, which can be controlled by people. Digital currency is based on mathematical algorithms. This way I feel more fair. Another thing is that digital currency does not respect national borders and time. This is a very free thing.

Even according to the Ministry of Finance in my country (Republic of Indonesia) the growth in the number of crypto market investors has grown rapidly and if counted up to June it has reached 15.1 million investors. and beat the capital market growth in my country which only amounted to 9.1 million in June. but that does not mean that investor interest in stocks has decreased, it's just that the rate of growth has been outpaced by the growth rate of crypto investors.

This I really believe. Especially when the world is in crisis from COVID-19 and now we are once again affected by the war in Ukraine. Stock markets are plummeting everywhere. World politics and power are currently at the highest level with many countries arming themselves for possible war anytime. The crypto market went down as well but at least it is decentralized. Bitcoin can be only affected indirectly.

In my country, I can feel that more and more people are shifting to crypto rather than stocks. Some are into both just like me but more stock investors are also investing now in Bitcoin. A few weeks ago I already started auditing my scattered stock holdings. I am planning to transfer most if not all of them into the crypto market. Our local stock market is too unstable, at least I am more confident that the crypto market will recover a couple of years from now.

I think it is not directly related but there is this distrust to stocks that caused this. I think stocks are not interesting anymore and people do not like to invest into them as much as they used to, or even if they do it is not the traditional way but more like gamestop saga where they attack the big traditional hedge funds.

This isn't because bitcoin, this is because hedge funds and all the other banks just screwed people so much that it feels like it is not really a shared love to each other and both sides hates each other a lot. This is why people looked for other alternative ways and bitcoin is one of that. That is why I think it is quite clear that we shouldn't really see stocks being valid investment after a while.

So how long are you in the stock market mate? I'd been in my local stock market for like 8 years already. I also have an e-Toro account although I left it already since I preferred to focus on our local stock market, crypto, and other ventures that interest me. What I shared is based on my years of experience and not just guessing and speculating. I am into a lot of local trading and investing groups and I observed that in every major crypto bull run I saw more and more people investing in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies by totally leaving our local stock market or they are invested in both.

Hedge funds and banks screw people but there is no screwing here in the crypto space? Bitfinex, FTX, Cryptopia, and many more screwed people too. At least bank savings are insured in certain amounts. And I do not agree that the stock market isn't interesting anymore, there are too many interesting stocks around the globe if you're into it. Did Elon and many other rich crypto investors totally leave the stock market? I don't think so.

Not really. More people are into stocks, I am almost sure everyone that looks for investment is into stocks than bitcoin or other crypto currencies. Stock investment has been around for decades and people feel more safe investing in stocks due to being less volatile and secure. The risks are lower when compared to crypto currencies. Stocks might not be as profitable as bitcoin, but it won't wipe you out in a day like crypto currencies can. People are that are willing to take more risks, invests in crypto currencies too. People that wants to stay on the safe zone, goes with stock investments. So, no, bitcoin hasn't reduced the interest of people in stocks.

Bitcoin is an asset to trade. You can sell it when you wish to. It is not that people don't sell. Profit from bitcoin will be obtained only if you sell, but if done at the right price.

Stocks can be bought and sold as long as you are having the asset in hand or money at hand. These things are not much different from crypto if you are observing well, you will see the similarities. Just that stocks are regulated and well controlled market than crypto.

With the younger generation, this assumption is true because the teenagers and young adults are those who are mainly interested in cryptocurrency and very small amount really care about stock investing. The younger generation cares more about the quick profits that they can make which is why they're draw to high risk investment like investing in Bitcoin and also gambling. Older generation are more into long term gains and ate draw to things like Real estate and stock that becomes profitable over time.
Cryptocurency like altcoins can't be trusted for long investment and any coin can just disappear from the market or decrease to an extent that it's unrecoverable. This coin aren't Bitcoin though but they're the majority in the market.

Stock market investors and crypto investors are totally different as far as I know, most of the stock market investors are old school people whereas bitcoin investors are millennials so this doesn't increased or decreased the stock market flow but in general people are getting more knowledge about financial freedom so they start to invest more on things than liabilities than before.

In general, the stock market and the cryptocurrency market are somewhat similar to each other. Blockchain projects in various fields are being launched on the cryptocurrency market. The stock market issues shares for companies. In the stock market it is an IPO, in the cryptocurrency market it is an ICO. I don't think anybody here has ran any statistical analysis to know for sure, the rare sources that exist out there are not the best either! But based on my observation I have seen people who are diversifying into bitcoin or in other words their interest in stocks hasn't decreased but they have found an additional market to invest their money into.
Based on bitcoin's fantastic performance and the fact that it is the only stand alone market that doesn't take effects from other markets (even though it can be affected by the economy as a whole) makes it one of the best investment options for those looking to diversify.

Personally, I'm not interested in stick marketing because I find it to be stressful. I believe investing in Bitcoin or cryptocurrency will be simpler and more profitable because one coin can easily increase by 100 times in a short period of time, something I'm confident won't happen in stuck markets. Have similar thing between stock market and Bitcoin based on investment goal earn profit, but right now Bitcoin little reduce with price going drop and I don't think have reduce interested from many investor with Bitcoin. Actually between stock and Bitcoin have compete each other, some investor in stock dislike with Bitcoin investment, honestly I prefer choose with Bitcoin investment than stock based on how long profit earn and Bitcoin can raise to higher price with short time than stock just stuck few percent only.

Based on investor experience each other because some person interest with stock for investing and have several people interested with Bitcoin for investing, several people invest in both side between stock and Bitcoin because they are looking for opportunity earn profit from two side investment kinds.

It's simpler and easier because we're aware of what coins to invest and we've been in this market for so long. But those stock traders and investors, they'll say that they're on the safer haven because those stocks are backed up by a company.

Although in reality, they are correct but the same thing is existing in the stock market and that is about dumping. Those shares can be dumped so much easy by those bagholders of it like the owners and those that have obtained it when it's cheap, not that much difference with bitcoin's plunging.

Perhaps, earning huge amounts is a big factor why some investors are spending more funds on crypto than on stocks.
