I want to know if people from the early days of Bitcoin who mined are still here. If you want, you can post here a signature for the text "bitcointalk" with your oldest key so we can check who has/had the oldest mined Bitcoin. Even when the coins were sent (empty address), you can post the signature for that address.

Yeah, for what reasons? Why would anyone will just agree to post their signed message and especially their wallet address here. Can you give more reasons? Well, about having the oldest mined bitcoin here seems like doesn't exist already, not unless its theymos, or other OG here. But i rarely see OG members here so i don't think there still kne here.

address above holds no balance.. funny people didnt even bother veryfying it
also if you sign an address. dont just sign the address by using the address as a message. or a broad meaningless message like this forum "bitcointalk"(facepalm)
because then someone will just go somewhere else and make a reason to say "ok im gonna prove im a early adopter and a forum user ill sign a message now (in the future) of funds early mined and ill use the message "bitcointalk"
and they then just copy your signature.. thus pretending they own your coins.. which is them trying to pretend they have false collateral and also that they are false early adopters
if you are going to sign a message include your username so that if someone else copy/pastes the signature pretending they own those coins. they have to explain why the message says "property of forum username onesignature" rather and a blanket message of just "bitcointalk"
|
I DO NOT TRADE OR ACT AS ESCROW ON THIS FORUM EVER. Please do your own research & respect what is written here as both opinion & information gleaned from experience. many people replying with insults but no on-topic content substance, automatically are 'facepalmed' and yawned at

This is not an early adopter. It is early-early-early adopter ... January 2009 (~second week after Bitcoin was released) Could be Satoshi, and that is no joke. address above holds no balance..
yes, the message is an empty address, but it doesn't matter. Who can use this address other than the signer? Who can create such a signature? Satoshi?

About two years ago more than a hundred early day miners signed a message from their corresponding addresses calling Craig Wright (aka faketoshi) a liar and a scammer. You can find the addresses and their signatures in this topic: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5250960.0address above holds no balance.. funny people didnt even bother veryfying it
The message contains an unused address. However the signature verifies against pubkey used in 1NChfewU45oy7Dgn51HwkBFSixaTnyakfj which is a used address that received reward for block 1018. There is a lot of shady things about this whole thing though but what you said isn't one of them.

Checked some addresses in the list, but the oldest I found was from December 2009. The signature in the example above is from January 2009. Years ago there was someone here on bitcointalk who mined block ~2000 and that was the oldest what was known. Now this signature from January 2009 Maybe someone knows more?

Is the above address related to the Patoshi mining set? I assume not, but would be cool if someone could check.

Yes, earlier ... only few days after Bitcoin started. But it gets better: these mined coins were transferred in 2011 (txid 567a9a7f9191db644a09985fad113dd6ee770eac69454317430e694305be9c56) Whoever created that transaction (39 inputs) had private keys of addresses that mined earlier than the above mentioned address. Three years ago they were talking about transactions that are connected, and this is one of these: How to know who is Satoshi Nakamoto or the Bitcoin Cinderella shoe. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5159407.0The message in the signature (Bitcoin address 1E9YwDtYf9R29ekNAfbV7MvB4LNv7v3fGa) has recently incoming transactions. People testing/want to know something

I can sign with an address from 2014, but that isn't old enough That signature you got there from 2011 is really nice because it was an address used to mine a block and get the 50btc reward at that time, is weird to see a signed message with those old addresses, so, thanks for sharing it, and would be nice if you can provide the source.

I mean, technically speaking satoshi (and maybe Hal) has the oldest mined Bitcoin in this forum. The exact number of addresses they owned is unknown, I won't be surprised if they spread their holding over several addresses and never move it again due to various reasons. Even if they are still active here, I don't think they want to get unnecessary attention by posting their addresses OP.

Yeah, for what reasons? Maybe they are testing a new 'NFT' within the Bitcoin blockchain where old (empty) Bitcoin addresses are the 'NFTs'. Someone may want to convert old BTC addresses into NFT and sell them for large amounts later, this idea may achieve great profits after 10 years have passed, as these old addresses become of archaeological value as they are old Bitcoin addresses. In this case, it does not matter whether you own the private key or not, because this address will not be used to send or receive bitcoins, but only as an NFT.

Does anyone have access to the old Mt. Gox records?
If so, owner of 1JWgqCduauH2dBQZ3WE6TN5e2pFtRMGHNr potentially holds the key to finding out who owned these funds.
Also, 400 BTC of these block rewards were deposited to Bitstamp.net to 17jz6XcXP2LPqS8gYmT2pkNJocUDzbpQuM. They should have owner information on that address.

"1E9YwDtYf9R29ekNAfbV7MvB4LNv7v3fGa" is just an address with ~2mBTC. Could you sign another message? Preferably this one: "Today is December 4th, 2022, and I sign for topic #5421158". Also, money sent to "1NChfewU45oy7Dgn51HwkBFSixaTnyakfj" were paid in public key (block 1,018), so I'd expect a public key instead of an address. How did you end up with the address anyway (I've checked blockchair, and you're right; I just don't understand the point of this conversion).
