I disagree, we are here to invest and investing is for profit so we have a lot of good options along with bitcoin. Bitcoin is good but it can't be as profitable as many other altcoins, so investing in every bitcoin is only right for you, not for many. Really appreciate with Bitcoin recommendation but why is Tether tho? Bitcoin and Tether is incomparable and the title is misleading anyway because if you want for "legit" one then you should go for Bitcoin only and not going to any altcoins out there.

One to blame is the exchanges if they get hacked for example Mt.Gox on early days and the price drops occurred on that day which is really jawbreaking even in that day where the price dropped really significant.

Dear Op the idea behind Bitcoin is Decentralization because it is not under any government or institution. With the passage of time, it is getting stronger day by day, I was reading a news in which Bitcoin surpasses Silver and I believe that those days are not so far when Bitcoin will surpass the Gold market cap. Although I have seen Bitcoin surpassing many big companies cap including Tesla the most famous one.
